Great food for affordable price. We had the Tempura one night, the Asian salad the next.
Ebi Ten is a small, quick service Japanese restaurant like what you’d find in Japan minus the salarymen. I love this place because it is consistently delicious, quick, cheap, and the quality is great for what you get. Pork katsu curry: For authentic, comforting, Japanese-style curry, Ebi Ten is definitely the place to go. The boyfriend really enjoyed his curry and ate it all up. His pork katsu was also very fresh and crunchy. えびてんはおいしいです!
Fast and cheap Japanese food! You get what you pay for and I've honestly never been disappointed. I love their curries and the chicken karaage is great as well!
Basically Japanese fast food. Reasonably priced and portioned given the area.
Wish they would improve their ventilation though... your clothes will smell like oily restaurant after eating in here.
This place is great if you are looking for a quick japanese fast food. The food is great but it is a bit expensive in my opinion. Portion size is not always consistent which is annoying. The katsu curry is fabulous and same with the mega bowl.
Good Value Sushi. Good place for a quick meal. Bought the salmon/avocado roll and California roll for $5. They're not cheap on the ginger and wasabe like Fujiya. Tasty rolls for a good price. Place is always busy, limited seating and lots of frying of tempura going on. They used to own this corner of downtown for cheap sushi/japanese food but now a few others have opened up. I do agree that the cooked food is sometimes hit and miss but the usual suspects sushi is usually pretty good.
I stopped by here in a rush on my lunch break and tried the #14 - Beef Yaki Udon.
It was delicious! Nice udon noodles and lots of flavour in the sauce used.
The line is very long at lunch on weekdays, but they get your order out super fast (under 5 mins).
Cheap and Cheerful .... ...a go-to destination whenever we visit Vancouver, please open a location in Kelowna! For the cost of a serious pig out there, we would pay $50+ here, so ridiculous really, see you soon!
Pleasant Surprise. I'm not going lie, what seemed like "just another Japanese place" turned out to be surprisingly good. I have been going there regularly and just can't have enough of their udons!
Japanese Food Prepared by Real Japanese. It shows!!! Cheerful front staff AND cooks, Your order made in less than 10 minutes. New menu items all time. What's not to love?!!?
I was walking on robson looking for somewhere quick to eat before a concert and stumbled on ebi-ten. The service was quick despite it being busy and the price was right... Most importantly it was tasty!
Great Fast-food Japanese. Great greasy and satisfying Japanese fast food donburi!
Cheap, fast, and friendly. Sometimes during my lunch hour, i'll wander over to Ebi-Ten for a quick sushi / takoyaki fix. the sushi here is a lot fresher and tastier than that from Fujiya. Takoyaki used to be made to order, but the last time i partook of this snack, it was just the microwaved frozen variety that I could purchase myself at the Japanese grocery store... They just douse it heavily in okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise. There isn't even any bonito flake or seaweed to top it. It's just good if you only have 5 mins for lunch.
Feeling famished after inadequate poutine, Team Tastic came here and ordered the Mapo Tofu Donburi and Takoyaki. The mapo tofu donburi came with a spicy sauce and beef which rested well on the taste buds and the Japanese rice underneath had a good amount of sushi vinegar. The donburi was a giant order and I can see it being great value for anyone looking for a quick lunch.... Fantastic Japanese stop for quick eats...Super deep fried takoyaki
Looking for some legit Japanese fast food? I would say this is probably one of the best places I like to go. The location is conveniently located across the street from the Vancouver Public Library, Central Branch. The place is not hard to spot because of their huge orange sign that says "Ebi Ten". It was about 7:00PM on Saturday night when my family and I were downtown trying to find a place that was fast (because we were on a rush to see a show at the Orpheum Theatre). When we go to Ebi Ten, the place wasn't too packed, but it looked packed because of how small the restaurant is. There are a very limited amount of seating at this place, (maybe 20 all together?). I think this restaurant is targeted at people who want to grab a quick lunch/dinner and go rather than eat in. When you enter the restaurant, you will see a cooler of already made sushi on the side with some Japanese drinks like Ramune and snacks. They also have salads as well. Also right beside the cold foods, the warm foo
First off, we have the Chicken Teriyaki bowl (7.45). I liked how the rice wasn’t too mushy and had a nice firmness to it, as well as how the chicken itself wasn’t too drenched in sauce, and mushy as well...Secondly, we have Katsu Don (7.25). The chicken was very lean and the skin, awesomely, still had a bit of crunch to it! Although the egg made the dish very rich at the top, I found it to be INCREDIBLY soupy at the bottom, which was kinda nasty.
I got the curry bowl and it was super yummy. Maybe partly because I was really hungry at the time, but it was good! The pork cutlet was crispy on the outside and just okay on the inside. I think it was a little on the dry side but not so that it was bad. It could have been better if the cutlet sauce was on the side.
Ebi-Ten could symbolize what "Ten Ya" could offer - tasty tempura with a faster pace.
One of the best places for an affordable, fast, and delicious bowl of udon is Ebi Ten. They serve takoyaki, chicken karage, sushi, rice etc... as well.
Jenkins and I went to one of our favourite places for cheap eats last week…Ebi Ten at 388 Robson St. Ebi Ten is a fast food Japanese place with a small but delicious menu. They have about 10 different main dishes, including terikyaki chicken with rice an
I seldom snack and, if I do, it tends to be either fruits I can find in my fridge or some cashews/peanuts I have hanging around. Of course, I can do this if I am at home. When I am outside and hunger strikes, almost anything is fair game! However, given t
