A fresh take on patio food done right. Without the grease and boring pub fare you see everywhere else, I recommend the salmon burger, R and B Red Devil Fish and Chips or the nachos for sharing with friends. Soak up the sunny beachside view of the city and mountains, while washing it all down with a local brew, a crisp BC wine or an espresso. All served by friendly young staff who actually care about your experience! By far, the best patio in Vancouver! I've visited this patio for over 15 years, and have always left "wowed".

You can find better food and service elsewhere, but what you won’t find anywhere else is a place to eat that's closer to the beach and with better views of the ocean, downtown, and the mountains. It’s the unforgettable location and view that makes The Galley one of the top only-in-Vancouver dining experiences we recommend to every friend who visits. For six others, google "only in Vancouver dining" to see out our post on The Unconventional Route.

More sun means more patio time. This particular patio is further than where most would travel, though the view is certainly worth visiting. Though shame that the weather didn’t agree with us today. Located by Jericho beach, the drive is far, and the parking lot fee is pricy. So we took advantage of the decent weather and decided to park further away, enjoying our stroll to the Jericho Sailing Centre. We approached hesitantly. The exclusivity of the building, with it being a club with member only restrictions, and its chain gates doesn’t help the restaurant earn walk-in traffic.

Great patio. Good selection, reasonably priced for Vancouver, food was ok to good.

What made the evening fabulous was the overall experience. The ambiance is unpretentious, yet I ate dinner basking in sushine on a sun soaked, breezy patio, poised for a spectacular sunset on the water with a beautiful BC mountain backdrop. Normally a bit of a food snob, I didn't even mind that the food was somewhat lacklustre.

Best of all, I was served the largest ice cream cone outside of the US, so big I was embarrassed. And it was fabulous.

The view is spectacular. Prices hover around $10 and I thought the food quality was good- they make most things in house and everything was much better than I expected! (Truly- this is not the snack counter I might expect on the second floor of a paddling club building!)

Salad was fresh, the fish tacos proved to be a large portion- 3 stuffed soft tortillas that were also full of fresh ingredients. The standout was the service, which was really friendly and the staff truly seemed to care- for example the counter person popped out to the deck where we were sitting to check on us as he noticed my friend deconstructing her tacos, then he offered to re-make it when she told him she had forgotten to ask for no onions.

I'll be back but may ask for more gravy on the poutine next time as it didn't quite cover all the cheese curds.

I only like it here in the fall or when the weather is cooler. Food is so so as its your basic burgers, salads, fish n chips you know standard fare nothing to write home about. The view is awesome on a clear day. I'd avoid this place in summer as you'll have to fight for a table as they have no system for you to get a table when it becomes available so you have to resort to lurking behind people eating within inches of their food and glare at others also trying to get the same table. Not a relaxing way to spend an evening is it right And it takes a while to get your food after that so yah avoid in summer don't say I didn't warn ya. But on a clear crisp fall evening. The experience is spectacular here! And oh yah I recommend the oyster po' boy sandwich its my fav!

New favorite casual spot! The menu is perfect for a weekend afternoon bite. I look forward to eating almost everything on it. On top of that the view from the patio Is amazing. You can look out and see the north shore and mountains, Stanley park, downtown, and of course English bay. I am a member of the Jericho bay sailing club and will be dining here frequently. Check out the menu on the website!
