Food tasted amazing! The girls were very accommodating to get us a table quickly and all of our food came within 10 mins - max! Headed to a Canucks game afterwards just a 3min walk down the street! Perfect date night!

It isn't the cheapest considering their portion sizes (sashimi is cut quite small) - but I would much rather smaller, high quality pieces than giant sub-par ones, as I find some places.

I tried this restaurant for the first time. I ordered the White roll with real crab, scallop and torched mayo on top. The real crab meat and scallop were really fresh and mayo torched on top was a really nice touch. My favorite dish was their chawanmushi. It's really hard to find a Japanese restaurant that can make authentic chawanmushi. The egg was very silky and all the ingredients inside paired well with the dish. When I eat Chawanmushi, I am looking for a nice sweet broth that I have with every bite of steam egg. This place did a great job. I also order the Salmon Oishi sushi. First time I had Salmon Oishi was at Minami in Yaletown. That is definitely Minami's signature creation. Tsuki did a good job replicating it. It is missing the soft and half seared salmon texture that Minami offers, but it is a good replicate overall. Lately, the Chirashi Don was average. The rice was more on the salty side. It would've been better if more vinegar was added to the rice mix. Portion size was generous and price is very reasonable. I would definitely come back again.

A lovely and relaxed little place downtown, Tsuki Sushi Bar offers friendly service. The sushi was delicious and fresh! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good sushi.
Tsuki Sushi Bar had a 90% rating on Zomato so I suggested it for a Friday lunch. It’s located next to Taishoken Ramen and across from International Village. The restaurant is small but spacious enough and has high exposed ceilings. The weekly special menu. . It took us a while to flag down a server to take our order and one of the sushi chefs noticed so they provided us with a complimentary small Smoked Salmon Salad. We really appreciated it! The smoked salmon had a nice smokey flavour and we loved the tangy house salad dressing.
A cleaner and chipper sushi joint close to the cinema at International Village. After a glimpse or two at its interior and the menu presentation, you can tell that the restaurant is trying and paying attention to detail. You see those add up at the end of the day. The food quality also comes from there. It's quite good. BUT sadly not as good as what you are paying for. Yes, I am saying it's a tad over-priced. Oh well, c'est la vie.
After all's said and done, I can say my favourite menu in this restaurant is... Sushi. Surprise~ Haha. Seriously, I am not a big fan of those ridiculous craft rolls as my friends seem to be. I'm more of a plain old sushi girl. But for sushi to be excellent, there are many prerequisites including sushi rice. The sushi rice here in Tsuki Sushi Bar is one of the best I've encountered in Vancouver. This is a huge claim but I think they so rightly deserve it. Great find for me.

I had a wonderful experience here tonight with my boyfriend. Excellent and attentive service. Interesting menu of deliciously authentic Japanese food for a very reasonable price. Will definitely return soon to eat in or get take out.

Dynamite!!. Love Tsuki, visit probably once a week. Great rolls, but I have to say that the dynamite roll is the best dynamite roll I have ever had. Just thinking about it while writing this is making my mouth water. I always get the wild salmon sashimi, always very fresh.
I also want to say that the atmosphere is great, staff are very friendly, and honestly these are the cleanest, nicest washrooms I have ever seen in a sushi restaurant.... which makes me confident they keep it clean in the kitchen too.

Really Good!. It's really good! With 5 or 6 sushi joints within 5 minute walk of Gastown, this is the best. The others are all subpar to average. The combos are great, prices are great. Salmon is wild and tasty! They actually care and show it in the quality of their offerings. They have skill that is often lacking in other sushi restaurants. If you went when they opened originally, give them a second chance, as its greatly improved from the early days. Tea and miso soup included without asking.

Went here for dinner and this was a pleasant dining experience. Restaurant has a simple modern design with nice service. Had several nigiri, including Saba, hamachi, hotate, salmon, salmon belly and uni. All very fresh. Really liked the Saba, hotate and uni. Also tried a couple of rolls which were good too. Chawamushi had good flavor, but it should have been more firm. Ankimo was good appetizer. Sesame creme Brule and Green tea cheesecake were nice finish to dinner.
Went there for lunch. Speedy service despite some comments stating otherwise. Food was excellent, and the decor was modern and chic. Value was average but they can't have super low prices qiven the higher quality food they're serving.
5 star sushi. My first visit tonite. We each had the spicy sashimi salad to start, i tasted a hint of orange, and it was delish, they lightly seared the sashimi which was a nice twist. Hubby had the crab tuna salad, beautiful presentation. I loved both rolls I ordered, the yam avocado and salmon avocado. They have very little rice and more fillings you can really taste the filling. They also dont deep fry so everything is fresh, and tastes healthy. We finished with a lovely green tea cheesecake light and fresh. I did not want to write this review, I fear line ups. Nice room too.

The head chef is from the now closed Sushi Mart and Yoshi Sushi who along with many staff members opened up a new joint here in Gastown to bring some authentic Japanese cuisine.
Unlike the typical Japanese Restaurant, Tsuki is noted for having no fried menu items whatsoever, they seek to compensate that with sushi that exemplifies the freshness of their fish. All of the seafood bought is part of the ongoing Ocean Wise movement which compared to Sushi Den is a strong contrast. As for the food itself, there is an emphasis on variety. The combos are not focused on several kinds of fish but spread between different kinds of fish. The Sushi Don also is kept seperate so you can enjoy the fish by itself or with the rice without having to place it aside.
Overall a great dining experience.
Simple and tasteful decor. The service was friendly and attentive, we went with our kids and would definitely go again. Our daughter tried more sushi than we thought she would, and was oohing and aahing over the green tea mousse cheesecake. I loved the negitoro roll and yuzu dressing on the green salad. The bathroom is equipped with a baby changing station among other things, which was definitely helpful!!
For a place that opened for only 5 days, the service was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was happy with the portion of the chirashi don. It was fresh and the portion was good. The decor is simple yet trendy with the light fixtures. Definitely a place I would come back too especially since its close to the movie theaters.

It has been a while since I’ve had any authentic, clean, and fresh sushi that are reasonably priced. Actually, I don’t think I’ve had any experience similar to the one I enjoyed at Tsuki Sushi Bar (across from McDonald’s Tinseltown, Downtown). It seems that this place is only open recently. The number of customers during dinner time was reasonable, considering the quality and value of their products. A note though: for a true taste of their sushi, you must eat in. I have tried take out and unfortunately you just can’t fake the freshness. The take out was still good, but not as awesome. My experience coming here was quite enlightening, and I hope and pray that they won’t change as their business expands. Ok, let’s review their food! Absolutely recommended: sashimi, nigiri sushi, and hosomaki. These items are more in line with traditional sushi style. The taste and the freshness cannot be beaten. I was quite pleased with each dish. It seemed that they took the time to craft them with care and they were all presented nicely. The price point also isn't too bad. It's actually quite reasonable for the quality of food you get. Most of the craft rolls were a little under $7 and they use some pretty good ingredients.
