How I wish I came here sooner. Now that I’m living in this area, I’ve been wanting to try new places in South Vancouver. There are just a handful in South Van, but many are hidden gems. I’d like to think that Panos fits this description pretty well. Brian and I came here one evening – pretty late too. We were both craving Greek food but not feeling motivated to travel downtown for Greek. Panos has been on my radar and to-eat list for a while now, so I suggested we go try it out.
Panos is located on Marine Drive near the bottom of Fraser St. Their lamb shank is very tender and flavourful. The guy that owns the restaurant is always there and servers are nice. He brings in a lot of his friends, making it feel like a real neighbourhood restaurant. Highly recommended for any occasion.

Great food, OK service.. This is not regularly the area I go to try restaurants, mainly because there's not a lot of places around here.
We tried this one because we have heard good things about Panos in South Van.
I had the lasagna and it surprised me. It was really good and to be honest, the place was full but the service was pretty good too!
It's a little hidden but it's definitely worth a try!

Great food!. The prawn souvlaki was amazing and awesome, and the lamb was melt in your mouth fantabulous. Oh, Panos Greek Taverna, where have you been all my life...

Food was good. I had the back ribs and pasta. But, we waited a long time for the food, it was mothers day on top of that. Extra busy tonight was their excuse. Every restaurant is also on mothers day. Be willing to give them another chance, since the food was good.
Super Calamari & Paidakia. This is my favourite Greek restaurant - wonderful service, reasonable prices and excellent food. Their calamari is the best I've had anywhere - the coating is always crisp and the squid always tender. The Padakia (lamb chops) are also superb. This is a dish that is easy to ruin and many do. At Panos, the lamb chops are tender, tasty and cooked perfectly.
Good beef soulvaki, hard rice. THis place is very homey as well. The last time we went, there was only one waitress in the entire restaurant, but she did a really good job so I'm not going to complain. I had the beef soulvaki, which was very good. The problem I had was with the rice. It was very very hard the chewy.
This is one place you should add on your foodie bucket list! With their sizable portions, great taste, and great experience, it’s one place you won’t want to miss!
This is what I come here for…a huge chunk of meat! The succulent lamb meat falls off the bone and I like to squeeze lemon over all of it.
I thought this place was pretty well hidden since it's in the corner of a strip mall. Honestly I've been driving along marine drive for years and have never noticed this place till I had to search for it! The evening started out eventful, Marv was a bit upset about an incident that happened in the parking lot….I was hoping it wouldn't affect his decision :p We were greeted warmly and guided to a quiet corner of the restaurant. The restaurant is dimly lit, and gives off a cozy essence. We arrived around 5:30pm, and there was only about 4 tables occupied. As we started to get our food, more and more tables quickly filled up.
