Au Petit Café is right beside Long’s Noodle House. Totally forgot about that when I went to check out APC for a late Friday lunch. The place was packed for 2:00pm but people eat fast. The inside can fit about 30 people. It’s pretty much a hole in the wall type of place but staff are friendly and fast.

This place is hands down a hidden gem. Featuring some amazingly simple but tasty Vietnamese food, its no wonder this place is always packed and busy.
The food is very good. My favourites are the beef stew on rice, and their banh mi are tasty as well. The pork vermicelli and springrolls are simply average. The reason why I don't award this place 5 stars is because their service is lacking. They don't check on your water or let you pay when you are ready, but they don't care because you'll be back for the food. Cash only.
Another 🍜 place means Virajie's gotta do another review! Had lunch here with a good friend of mine from work on her recommendation as it was one of her favourite pho places. And it didn't disappoint! We had: curry chicken on rice, meatball banh mih, pork chop on rice & a full order of spring rolls. Nice big portions meant full bellies & plenty of leftovers 😄 Good food, prices with friendly service + management. Place is cash-only which is a bit of a downer. Overall, Au Petit Cafe is worth a visit & officially Virajie-approved! 👍
This is a small but quite popular restaurant offering great homestyle Vietamese food. I've had the chance to sample their Curry Beef Stew with French Bread, and it was absolutely fantastic. Their prices have, unfortunately, been steadily increasing over the years, and I did find the portion to be a bit small. However, considering the quality of the food, I have to say that it is worth paying a little extra. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. Be warned, they're cash only, so make sure that you've got some bills on you!
Curry Beef Stew Served with French Bread ($11.95):
4.5/5
The curry beef stew contained several pieces of beef and tendon, as well as a few large chunks of carrots. I honestly cannot say which I liked more, the stew or the bread. Both the meat and tendon were perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and needed very little chew. The curry broth was fragrant, mild and sweet. The bread was absolutely fantastic: warm and fresh, with a nice crispy exterior and a softy, airy interior. It was of course great for dipping into the curry broth, but it's seriously delicious enough to enjoy on its own as well. My only critique is that I did find the curry to be a bit too one-note in its sweetness; I would have liked there to be a bit of heat. This is seriously a fantastic dish though.
Decent quality, good price. We have been going to this hole in the wall Vietnamese cafe since almost 20 years ago. Food quality hasn't changed. I would recommend their Vietnamese sandwiches.
Best bai mi sandwiches in the city. The price is very reasonable and staff are friendly. The other food is also good, but the star is the sandwiches. They are often backed up with take out sandwich orders, so call and order ahead of time.
You're eating wrong if you don't order banh mi (Vietnamese subs) from here. I personally like getting the dac biet and grilled chicken ones. Their pho is also delicious too and sometimes it's a hard choice between the two. If you come later in the day, there's a chance that they've sold or of all the sandwiches.
I had the special ham sandwich (item #1). The bread was very crunchy and it wasn't too buttery like other places. The ham was quite distinguished and flavorful...I'd like to try the other sandwiches in the future. Busy little place with great customer service!
I was very impressed when I first came to Au Petit, when I ate in. The curry chicken with French bread was hearty, the curry was filled with herbs and was very flavorful. The potatoes and chicken made for a filling meal. The bread was crusty and VERY spongy on the inside. The banh mi had a perfect ration of filling to bread. But when I ordered takeout today, the curry chicken was sort of bland and disappointing. The herby taste was gone so the curry was too sweet. But on the upside, the pho soup was really good and the noodles had a nice texture. The spring rolls were crispy and had a nice, slightly spicy filling. Deep fried rice paper works so well...Expect long line-ups if you are eating in, up to 1/2 hour. Takeout is quicker.
○Service was ok
○they don't do reservations
○very small place/ been around forever
○best known for their Vietnamese subs, all of them are pretty good, I usually get the special or the dips one (banh mi siumai dia (house meatball served in plate) or banh mi (bread) cari (curry) ga (chicken)/bo (beef))
○recommended to order take out
○their iced Vietnamese coffee is really good too
○high price compared to other Vietnamese restaurants - but the sub is worth it - other dishes I've tasted better at other places
○would I go back? Yes, take out only tho
After living in London for a while, I really had a hankering for a good banh mi and Andrew brought me to a place that was always busy and bustling with people. The bread was cold, the fillings were skimpy, and it just didn’t hit the spot. While everyone else seemed to enjoy it, I realized I sorely missed a really, good banh mi – more specifically, the one from Au Petit Café back at home in Vancouver.
I don't have one bad thing to say about Au Petit. I have been coming here for years and I love it.
My favourite is their Lemongrass Chicken. Whether it's on rice or vermicelli, it is always delicious!
The pate and French bread is consistently good. You can never go wrong.
Recently tried the Curry Chicken for the first time and it was yummy!
I've also gotten the Banh Mi to go a few times and I never regret the decision!
Oh yes... best spring rolls, hands down!
Everyone loves the banh mi (nammer subs) here and I think it's cuz its super fatty. It's good don't get me wrong but I think Chong Lee subs are still the best. The pho is mediocre and their menu is very small. Go early or prepare to wait in line!
I remember visiting here once before, before this whole blogging thing, when I was working my way through “Vancouver magazine’s 101 tastes to try”, the 2010 edition. Their baguette sandwiches made the cut, and I can see that today the notoriety they earned from it has helped them greatly. According to the writing on the wall, they even won best restaurant for the 24th and 25th year (I don’t know what year that actually translates to, but two years in a row is no easy feat).
This place is fantastic. Great food, great service.
Highly recommend.
We ordered rare beef noodle soup, spring rolls and hot coffee with condensed milk. Everything was perfect. Will definitely be going back. :)
Au Petit Cafe Vancouver on Main Street has really delicious beef stew, pho and banh mi! This tiny restaurant is located beside Long’s Noodle House and equally has long lines throughout the day. Au Petit is our go to Vietnamese sub place. It is family owned and has won several awards. No doubt prices has gone up over the years (ex. spring rolls went from 7.75 to 9.00 a plate), but the tastes remains the same.
Sub Sandwich(Ham, House Meatball, Pickled Vegetables). Now I know what all the fuss is about! Hands down the best banh mi I've had in Vancity. The sandwich was nice and hot, fresh crispy bread, and plenty of fillings that didn't taste too sour - the meet shined through!
Highly recommend braving the wait for this.
Me, Mamallama, Totoro and friend ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls ($8.25) to share. These were served piping hot with fish sauce on the side for dipping. The shell of the spring roll was very different from what we’re used to, but it was a pleasant change. It was crunchy, but it also had a little bit of a chew to it. The filling was well seasoned and had a nice ratio of ground pork to vegetables. I also liked that they weren’t greasy.
We also got the shrimp salad rolls ($7.50) to share. These were served with a peanut hoisin sauce. While there’s a stark difference between good and bad salad rolls, I feel like there’s a ceiling to how great a salad roll can get. I just don’t see salad rolls blowing people’s socks off. Nevertheless, these were pretty good. Everything was as it should be. The ingredients were fresh, and tightly wrapped so it stayed together until the last bite.
The bahn mi subs are what Au Petit’s known for, it’s what keeps me coming back. I always get the french bread sub with homemade ham, house meatball and vegetables ($5.25) with optional jalapeño peppers. Their bread is always baked fresh daily- crispy on the outside, very soft on the inside. I’ve never really been a fan of the rubbery texture of vietnamese ham, but I actually liked them in the sub. The meatballs were soft, moist and flavourful and accented perfectly with the pickled carrotsand cucumber, I had gotten mine with the hot peppers, but they were too spicy for me, so I ended up picking them out.
Mamallama and Totoro felt like something soupy, so they ordered the BBQ lemon grass boneless chicken and rice noodle in soup ($9.25). The noodle soup was very comforting on a cold, rainy day, it warmed us right up. The broth had deep flavours, it had a subtle sweetness to it and it had just the right amount of sodium. They were also pretty generous with the lemon grass chicken, which was juicy and tender
When we first walked in the owner greeted us with a gentle smile and he is very friendly. We ordered two subs, one was the house special and another the housemade meatball. I love the combination of the pickled vegetables and cilantro with the juicy meat. The price for these are also very cheap. With the service, subs and price that good, highly recommend.
Au Petit Café is a small and causal Vietnamese café besides Long's Noodle House on Main street. Long wait is expected during weekend peak hours. The wait ended up taking a while. There were a lot of people waiting outside and we could not tell they were awaiting for Long's or Au petit Café! I just realize that I forgot to take a snapshot of my no. 1 house special Banh Mi (Vietnam Sandwich). Probably I was too hungry after the long wait. It was so fresh and delicious!!! At last, it is highly recommended to go Au petit Café for Vietnamese sub sandwich where you can get the best in town! You can't go wrong!!!MUST EAT: BANH MI DAC BIET

Au Petit Cafe, located on Main St., is one of the most popular Vietnamese restaurant in that area. It is also my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver. Although the cafe seems to be inconspicuous, you can never judge a book by its cover; the food is super delicious that I have never heard criticisms about the cafe.
Best Vietnamese subs in the Lower Mainland. We always order their Homemade Ham & Liver Pâté French bread sub. The other sub is the Homemade Meatballs; they are tasty and juicy . They never dissapoint. We usually order takeout since clients always lineup outside their doors.
Now I know what all the fuss is about! Hands down the best banh mi I've had in Vancity.
The sandwich was nice and hot, fresh cripsy French bread, and plenty of filling that wasn't overpowered by huge chunks of radish or cucumber - the house meatball really shined through and kept everything together in its fatty goodness!
Not a 5 star rating because their $4 iced coffee is such a rip-off. I definitely should've asked for the price and size before just straight-up ordering :(
Highly recommend braving the wait for this sandwich.
Best Subs I've ever eaten!!! Recommend the shredded chicken sub!
Amazing. Tried it just in time! The owners are going away for the first time in 2.5 yrs. So we will have to wait until the end of May 2015 to go back from some more delicious BUN with a healthy amount of lettuce and basil! yum!!
Banh Mi Ga. Chicken sub with cilantro, carrots and hot peppers.
They make THE BEST Vietnamese subs in the city.
Awesome banh mi. The house special meatball sub is fantastic !!!!

One of my very favourite places to go for banh mi. The meatball sub never disappoints!
Will visit again. Service is very friendly. I ordered Banh Mi #1 with jalapeno. It is delicious.
Stick with the subs. The banh mis are great, but the pho just sucks. Bland broth. Tastes like Chinese-style pho. Come very early or better yet, get take out. There's usually a line up, and it's super cramped inside.
Always on point! love the subs!. I've been a regular for a few years now and I've never once been disappointed at the service and food. They are always jam packed with line ups, sometimes I call ahead to order. #1 sub with no hot peppers, one to eat there, one to go! The perfect combo of home made ham, house meatball and pickled veggies on hot toasted bread is to die for!!
I've ordered their pho and #17 (BBQ lemon grass chicken on rice noodle) & #18 (Hai-Nam chicken on rice) which are sooo yummy!!
Decor is on the older side, the walls are painted in a bright bright pink but the food speaks for itself.
If you are ever in the area or just want authentic Vietnamese food this is it, look no further!!
There is a reason why it is so highly rated by so many. You will not be disappointed, period.
Great subs..... Was told about this place and finally tried it today. the #1 sub with all the fixings, awesome! Perfect toasty bread. really good spring rolls too... Cash only...
Great banh mi. Noodle soup is jus soso. I found myself quite thirsty after eating the sandwich though.
I LOVE the house special meatball sub. Nuff said!
Good service and food was good... This is my second time going to the restaurant and would for sure return more often.. food was goood.. most important service was really good.. the owners were nice and polite.. when i asked them about a dish.. they will describe to me in details.. i really like it there.. place is bright and clean..
Yummy!. Their subs are my fave.
will be back.
better than ba le on kingsway!
Love their Banh Mi's. I really like all of their Banh Mi's here. My favorite is the meatball sub. The spring rolls are good here too. There's usually a line up but I think it's worth the wait. Not a big fan of their pho though.
Here for the Viet Subs. Came on the recommendation on the Bahn Mi sandwiches and got the $5 with all the fixings and was quite tasty and crunchy (felt made to order).
Also had the Pho Tai Nam (Small) and Vietnamese Spring Rolls which were standard fare when compared to other great Vietnamese restaurants.
A gem. A small little family run cafe with awesome vietnamese subs (served on the freshest bread!). delicious curries are served with the same bread. you always feel welcome here, as the owners (a mid-aged couple) are personable/friendly.

Damn Delicious!. I buy subs all the time for my employee's and they really love it. They're cheap and fresh with great ingredients and they're soup is not too bad when I have the time!
Au Petit Cafe for life!
Best subs.. I love the subs at Au Petit Cafe. The chicken or the beef subs are simply amazing. Especially the price. You got to check this place out.
The best in Vancouver! I wasn't a big fan of pho but this place has totally changed me! Friendly service and hands down awesome food!! Simply fantastic!
I come here almost every Saturday with my mom. This place has the best viet subs in town! Besides the viet subs we usually get banh uot, banh beo, meatball or curry chicken with the french bread. Can never get sick or tired of this place. They have great friendly staff and delicious food, whats not to like! Although it can be a long wait to be seated it's definitely worth the wait.
Must order the sandwich special #1, toasted. I ordered a takeout, the restaurant is small but very clean, friendly waitresses too. Will go back to try their soup noodle for sure, along with the #1 special!!
Tasty and delicious. In my opinion, hands down best viet subs in town. Good vietnamese/chinese mix style pho, and great curry. However this restaurant makes alot of money but it is too small. Too less seating and some seats are near the entrance so when people come in and out it tends to get very chilly. I think they should renovate or move into a bigger restaurant or at least a warm one. Other than that the food and people are great.
Lemongrass chicken on veggies and vermicelli. Doesn't this look so good! tender chicken on vermicelli. very nom nom
I went for lunch with my boyfriend at Au Petit Cafe and we left quite satisfied. He had the Curry stewed beef brisket with pho noodles and they were delicious. The curry broth was flavourful and the beef and carrots were so soft and tender. I had the banh mi #1 and it tasted great - fresh and flaky bread with great meat and veggies. I also had the pho with rare beef and need balls, which was pretty standard tasting. but still good. Service was quick and there was even an old grandpa working to clear the tables. They had so many people coming in to get their take out orders of the sub sandwiches. I would come back again!
The beef stew with French bread is a must! If you're a morning person, this place is packed either way :( .. Their French bread is always fresh! They actually run out.. Sometimes the wait for more is too long so u have to settle for something else
5/5 - no sate beef with cheese?!? Yes, perfect!. I was introduced to this little place many years ago and every time I go into Vancouver, this is the first place I will go to eat at. The only thing that I really order here is anything with the fresh baked loaf. Where else can I find fresh baked loaf for Vietnamese subs?
The experience that I get everytime I come here is great. The service was quick and the servers were courteous.
This time around I ordered the Special Viet Sub (#1 I believe) and the curry chicken. Let me tell you that it was very satisfying. The special sub had my all time favorite Vietnamese sub meat (the marinated pink pork) that I find is a challenge to find at any Vietnamese sub place. So far, the only place is Au Petit Cafe. The curry chicken was also good and it is just like how my mom makes it. It goes perfectly with the fresh baked bread dipped into the currie. Delish.
PS. This place carries traditional dishes so there is no sate beef or chicken with cheese (Thank goodness!!!!).
Was told that the sanwhiches are the best in the west. They are good ( which is great, I work close by) but I've tried as good or better at a dozen different Vietnamese places - perhaps I haven't had one at the right time (right after bread was made)? Really good though - such a hole in the wall it is almost entertaining
The Place For Sandwiches!. The sandwiches are so good they stop your mind and force you to pause. The bread is perfect, warm, and crispy yet still has soft moistness inside. Get there before noon or call in and reserve your sandwiches as they will be all out otherwise.
Love love love it's simple beef broth.. Easy Sunday mornings, fresh crunchy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside french bread, and a clear broth to go with my noodles. My friend and I have easy appetites so a bahn mi with pate, ham, vegetable filling plus a bowl of vietnamese ham noodles is plentiful for lunch. My favourite bowl of noodles in Vancouver because of it's ability to hit all the notes with no fancypantsing. You also get a lot of food for a great value. We usually walk away stuffed from a $12 bill.
Also take a moment to admire the suprisingly non-tacky pink interior, chairs with bended wood patterns, and the manager who speaks 5 languages including french. His wife (?) is also very friendly as I've seen her happily answer any questions about the foods or beverages to non-asians (I mention this because some asian-run establishments are quite rushy and hesitant). Sometimes you'll even see the old boss run the cashier.
Tasty Sandwiches. The french bread itself on all the sandwiches was the freshest bread I've ever had on a Vietnamese sandwich. Probably, and probably the freshest bread you will ever taste in a sandwich. The crust is thin and crispy and the center is realllly soft. So good.
This is easily my single most visited resteraunt in the ~2 years I've known it. All the dishes are above average, but the sandwiches, and curry beef stew ( be brave order the tendon) are exceptional.
Great sandwiches! Best lunch u can ever get bread always fresh n tasty. Chicken curry is also great that's if u get a seat. Always busy so get the early or order for takeout as it can't be beat.

4851 Main St, Vancouver, BC Food Rating: 8.5/10 One of my favourite Banh Mi’s in this city. The #1 House Meatball Sandwich never lets me down! Not my favourite place for pho noodle soup, but it’s still good! Beef Noodle Soup. Meatball banh mi. Spring rolls.
Stepping into the restaurant, my friend and I were greeted very warmly by the restaurant owner and his staff, who immediately handed us menus so we weren’t left drooling at the food at the table next to us. The restaurant was small in size, about 20 or so seating, tables were quite close to each other too. The setting wasn’t anything fancy, just a typical decently maintained, asian-vancouver restaurant that looks like its been around for awhile. It was a no brainer what I was gonna order, which was the very famous Banh Mi Dac Biet ( Bahn Mi #1 on the menu)- a vietnamese sub: french bread with veggies, vietnamese
I've been hearing a great ton of things about this little whole in the wall, Au Petit Cafe!! Apparently I got lucky because this place always has lineup haha! So many people were calling in and ordering take out! If you're planning on getting one of their banh mis, act fast, because they sell out before 1:30 pm! The family that runs this place is so nice! They seem to genuinely care about their customers and it really shows. Seriously one of the friendliest Vietnamese restaurants I've ever been to in a while lol! I overheard the guy running the cash register asking everyone how they enjoyed their meal after they were done eating! My waitress was really friendly as well, genuinely happy and smiling the whole time! #1 House Special Banh Mi $5 3.5/5 stars This is what they're famous for! Their Banh Mi!! Their house special banh mi has char siu, vietnamese ham, and meatball in it! The meat ball was soft and flavourful, and the char siu pieces had just the right amount of fat! The bread was perfectly toasted and crunchy on the outside! Curry Beef Stew $10 Combo 4/5 stars This was awesomee!! I actually liked this more than the banh mi hehe! The curry was on the sweeter side, super flavourful, with just a hint of spiciness at the end! The beef brisket was amazingly tender and soft! The tendon wasn't rubbery either which really impressed me! The carrot pieces were soft and had soaked up all the flavours of the sauce! You can get a side of rice or french bread with every combo, and I got the rice, since I had already ordered the banh mi! The rice was soft, fluffy, with just the right amount for the beef curry!
My friend's chicken was shredded and nicely marinated. It was warm and juicy, with kind of sweet and savoury flavours. With the slight acid from the vegetables, it was a real treat. The bread is really awesome. It's fresh, warm, slightly crusty on the edges
au petit is an extremely tiny restaurant that is extremely popular. so well known that if you don't go right at opening, you are guaranteeing a wait, especially on weekends and even the possibility of no more banh mi! they are known for their viet sandwiches because of the very crispy, fresh bread that they use. they often sell out of banh mi if you go later in the day - thats how good they are. my parents went for lunch one day and brought one of their subs back for me! banh mi 1 ($4.50) - house made vietnamese ham, meatball, vegetables and hot peppers (i got it without peppers) - this is delicious even as take out. their meatball is so juicy and fatty but flavourful at the same time. the pickled veggies help to balance the flavours. just pure deliciousness. its because of banh mi's that i never get mcdonalds. this is even cheaper than a big mac and 10x better.
The meat, oh my. It was delectable… the perfect balance of savouriness of the meat and the sourness of the pickled vegetables. Trust me, this banh mi was a huge difference from the one I tried previously! I can finally see why people rave over this place and how the banh mi’s are sold out almost everyday. After I finished this, I wanted another one. I’m craving one right now as I’m writing this…yums.
Their Banh Mi Thit Nguoi is the best sub I have ever had!! When people talk about Vietnamese, the image of “Pho” always pops into our minds.
Au Petit may not serve very good pho but they serve probably the best sub in Vancouver.
It’s a small restaurant at the quiet area but there’s always a line up outside.
This. is. the. best. Vietnamese. sub. ever. Crispy light fragrant bread, tons of veggies, a nice dollop of mayo, all sorts of meaty goodness including some of the best meatball I’ve ever had. I will never doubt Thumper and Chow Chow again… ok, that’s going too far but this is such a good sandwich!! It’s so good, I got one as takeout for Mr. Piglet. He enjoyed it so much he wishes it could be made into an air freshener.

Au Petit Café has been a place that Ying has wanted to try for a long time! Well, ever since our food blogging adventures have started at least. The main problem with this place is that it closes every day at 7 PM; while Ying and I are rarely both free for lunch in this neighbourhood. This is definitely a hole-in-the-wall neighbourhood gem type of place that you have to know about to enter. It's located on Main St. and 32nd/33rd Ave, in a stretch of Main St that isn't very busy. There was quite a bit of street parking available. :D It advertises itself as an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, not that I really know what authentic is. :P I'm just here for the yummy food. The interior is simple and tiny… living up to its name for sure. The tables are all tiny… heck even the chair are quite tiny. Despite its size, the place was packed with diners… at 3PM on a weekday! I noticed that there were many families who seemed to be return customers, as they could order their favourites right
I ordered a small rare beef pho ($7). The broth had a rich flavour to it and it was topped generously with thin slices of rare beef, cilantro, and onion. The beef wasn't as juicy as I was hoping it would be, but it was still okay. This bowl of pho was decent but it's not the best I've had. The size was good if you are looking for a smaller meal.
After my previous bánh mì pilgrimage visits to Kim Chau Deli , Tung Hing Bakery and Ba Le Deli & Bakery on Kingsway, I ended my trip at Au Petit Café located on Main Street. While a little further away, it was well worth the trip.

Au Petit Cafe is a small Vietnamese cafe located along Main street near King Edward street. This place has been a buzz for a very long time and one of my good friends (who just happens to have great taste in dives) recommended I try this place out. In fact, he’s been recommending it to me for years now and I don’t really know why I haven’t been up until now. The hours here are a little strange, as they close during dinner time (7pm). Maybe they should extend their hours because I’m sure they would have a lot of diners during the evening! Anyway, we came here about 2 hours before I was going for dinner – so I settled for a banh mi. I got #1 Banh Mi Dac Bet ($5- home made ham, house meat ball, vegetables and hot peppers). I have to say that this is one of the best places to have a banh mi in Vancouver – if not the best. The bread is fresh and not too overwhelming and the meat ball is fresh, flavourful and juicy. And if you really can’t stand hot peppers – make sure you ask for no hot pep
The restaurant is a popular place among Vancouverites and is known solely for their Vietnamese subs that are made with their baked-in-house bread
Au Petit Cafe is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant located right beside Long’s Noodle House. It’s pretty small so one might easily miss it when driving by. Walking by, however, it’s hard not to notice how busy it is inside; plenty of customers eating in
The sandwiches or "bánh mì" from Au Petit are always scrumptious and delectable. I have had that taken out before. However, I am just not than enthralled with shredded chicken, but that's me. The phở itself looked good and my dining partners sure enjoyed it.
I finally got a chance to try Au Petit Cafe, a little family-run Vietnamese restaurant. The small restaurant is famous for their authentic banh mi: Vietnamese subs. Untouched by hipsters and food trends ( Phnom Penh is not so lucky), the banh mi are still less than $10 at Au Petit Cafe. Vietnamese sub, Au Petit Cafe, 4851 Main Street, Vancouver, BC I ordered the banh mi with homemade ham, house meat balls and veggies minus the hot peppers. Banh mi are served in crusty French bread, one of the positive influences from Vietnam’s colonial days. Au Petit Cafe is known for serving their banh mi hot and my sandwich came to the table, warm to the touch, the bread was toasty and the meat was hot. Vietnamese sub, Au Petit Cafe, 4851 Main Street, Vancouver, BC I’ve always loved moist and fatty Vietnamese meat balls, they’re loose and saucy, kind of like a Swedish meatball times 10. The soft, moist, salty
Ever since having my very first banh mi from Viet Sub, I found these crispy sandwiches very delicious and couldn't help reaching out to try more. Skimmed through the "sandwich/sub" list on Urbanspoon, other than Viet Sub Vietnamnese Cuisine, there is one
The french bread itself on all the sandwiches was the freshest bread I’ve ever had on a Vietnamese sandwich.
Touted as having one of the best Viet Subs in Vancouver, Au Petit Cafe has been on to-do list for a while, but Kevin kept telling me we should go on a weekend for something they only prep for the weekend. So it's been like that basically since uh… since
Au Petit Cafe on Main Street is well known for their Vietnamese sandwiches. Their popularity means they often run out of sandwiches by 11am. But, it is definitely worth waking up early for. Tre and I arrived early enough to be seated before people started
The Vietnamese subs (Banh Mi) of my youth were all fairly consistent – crunchy, mouth sawing bread, nuoc cham, mystery meat, cilantro, pickled carrots, onion, cucumber, and hot peppers. And they were cheap. Dirt cheap.
I had always heard so much about Au Petit … about how popular it is but we had never been there nor did we know where it was. All we know was that Au Petit is a Vietnamese restaurant. We met up with Angie's family again for a weekend lunch. As many of yo
siu siu ga feh oak :).. I've always wanted to come here after reading all those rave reviews about this place. The parking really sucks as the streets are always full of cars but we ended up parking behind the restaurant.. There's very little room and we
I would have never been to Au Petit Cafe if Minna hadn't ever brought me here. Even though it is located in South Main (and therefore, pretty close by to this cute little Vietnamese restaurant). I went here for dinner/lunch with Minna and Erica Lam (Minna
