Kristen was the best server ever! She was so fun and authentic. Great service! Moxies you are lucky to have her! Will totally come back and hope to have Kristen as our server. Thanks! Cheers.
Very happy with our server daniell sat upstairs waited for a while to be served
Food was great daniell our server was awesome great friends
Went to this location and had a great experience our server heather was the sweetest! Two thumbs up definitely would recommend
My wife and I very much enjoyed our dinner after cheering on the BC Lions to victory over The Edmonton Eskimos- the server was very courteous and eager to please - no matter what we asked for - mushrooms at the last minute or special touches to our meal - it was done and with a smile - my wife's salmon was spectacular and my steak and prawns was superb- we'll be back soon!!
I went into the Moxie's on west Georgia last night for a couple drinks with my friends before the hockey game and I was amazed by how welcoming and friendly every employee was! They new everything there was to know about the menu when I had a question and that Bellini was to die for... OMG!!!!
Quick service, good casual food. Come before events because location is great
Went here for a hockey game. Was impressed with the quick service from Chelsea. The food was delicious. Will be back soon!:)
Living for the calamari, nachos and the white chocolate brownie
After a mixed feelings event at the Queen Elizabeth's theatre, we decided to wait out the crowd (parked underground) and go to the Moxies across the street. We were exhausted but starving. I ordered the mushroom sirloin and Brent had the honey garlic sirloin. Both steaks were done to perfection. The taste was to die for. Definitely will be returning... Maybe after another event.
to the staff who paid attention, thank you. to the chef who came out and spoke to us my friend u were great. you spoke to us and gave us good insight on what canadian food and flavours were like. the food was great and well done. cocktails were a tad on the average but id base it on the fact of clamato favour is an canadian thing. only 1 point im taking away is the male staff member who was eating from a plate a customer left behind i saw the manager address it but the professionalism needs to be there. none the less thanks for good breakfast lunch dinner and occasional snacks.
I like that their food has the right kick of spice and it isn't bland like most western restaurants in Vancouver. Way to go! Quality wise, its Moxies. It's consistent good food.
What else could you ask for?. Blondes in miniskirts, great beautiful room, cool ambiance and nice steak and salads. Seriously folk this is a definite return for us
Why arent there more Moxies?. Good tuna, good wine, good price for alcohol, stunning blonde waitress, 1 brunette and one asian. Blonde had long stunning legs. My wife is secure so no problem whatsoever. I will be back. Oh they brought a hamburger too that was like a tower. Everything is goood
Moxie's is a great resto. We really loved this restaurant. Iit was quite cool to see how they decorated. We visited for lunch as the prices are a bit steep, but lunch was great. The service was great, too. They do allow you to taste the wine you order before pouring you a drink, in case you would like something different.
Great Food, Great Staff, Great Fun. Im confused by the other reviews. I am not from Canada so it may be an American thing but when I go to dinner I am looking for great food and tasty drinks with good service not Skinny blonds in short skirts?!?! Im going to assume based on those reviews that those were creepy old men with no date so not Moxies fault....Maybe they should try a hooters.
That being said we had excellent food and excellent service. We had no idea it was a chain until our second visit. The food was delicious. I had crad and scallop cakes, yam fries and short rib slidders that were on par with some of the best food Ive ever had!
Our bartender Lucas was awesome. He was able to carry on a great conversation with us both and made us feel at home whiel we were 3,000 miles away from ours. On our second night we tried a different place but after one round we raced back to our spot at the bar in Moxies.
Great food, Great Service, Great time!
Good...but a little too salty. We don't know if it was the particular dishes we ordered, but we find the food quite salty. We ordered the Beef Vindaloo and the Loaded Burger. First, the beef vindaloo -- this dish was actually pretty tasty, but the rice under it was sub par. It looked and felt like the rice stuck on the side of a rice cooker after all the rice at the centre are all scooped up. The pieces of bread that comes with it was really good - soft and tasty. One of us thought that the beef were too tough, thin, and dry. The other, however, liked it. The red & green peppers, coconut, and french onions makes a delicious combination. The Burger was waay too salty for the both of us -- the bbq sauce, bacon, and patty = too much sodium. What surprised us was that even the fries that came with the burger were also quite salty -- just way over-salted. Overall, tasty food...but we felt that we had a sodium-overload after the meal.
Tuna!!!. The Wasabi Tuna Tartare is insanely good. I also had the fries, nothing special, but I'd go back for the tuna! The service was good -- our waitress was competent, friendly and organized. I liked the spaciousness of the restaurant and the convenient local. I didn't like that it was confusing when entering the restaurant -- no hostesses were available, which was odd as the restaurant was pretty empty -- I had to wait for 5 minutes before someone pointed me upstairs then spent another 5 minutes tracking down another hostess to get seated; it was smooth sailing after that.
Pretty waitress completes it. Cactus has always been a favourite of mine. But I am high on Moxie's now too. Though the prices have increased over the years, you are mainly paying for the ambiance (including those blond thin girls we all love) and decor which is rather unique. Food is good but can get pricey.
Like i said this is the kind of place you dont bring a date or your ball and chain.
However even the quesadilla at under $10 tastes excellent.
Service is quite good. The staff and waitresses are upbeat and sexy.
Very trendy style place but highly recommended especially when meeting business associates. it is quite neutral. It's pricey but not too pricey, it's romantic but casual bar like at the same time.
It makes a good first impression.
Guaranteed. Moxies, Earls, Joey's, Cactus Club... they might very well be owned by one corporation who seem to have everything in line. It's like the Starbucks experience. You get the same food, for the same prices and the same atmosphere. If you are looking for the classic meal that will be pretty well consistent with what you had last time, you are not in for disappointment although, the service could use a polish.
The burger was pretty good – not too greasy, not too dry. Overall, this is fairly average – nothing to go crazy about, but also good enough for a second time. Price below includes cheese and bacon added for $0.99 each.
I'm a sucker for lobster and for brie cheese, so this is a no brainer choice for me. The sandwich comes on perfectly crisp white bread and is loaded full of rich creamy filling. In addition to big gooey slabs of brie, there is also a bit of cheddar mixed in.
After free date night at Milestones , Py and I went to Moxie's for their $2.99 margaritas . We ended up having way more than just margaritas! We also tried their spring seasonal dessert: dark chocolate cake with Callebaut granola bark ($7). The chocolate cake was similar in taste to brownies but the texture was oddly chewy and bouncy like chocolate pudding. What I really liked about the cake was that it was not overly sweet. The chocolate granola bark, on the other hand, was much sweeter than the cake, but tasted delicious nonetheless. The French vanilla ice cream was smooth and creamy, and was the perfect complement to the warm chocolate cake. Py and I polished off the tasty dessert quickly and moved on to other drinks. There is a half price special on 6 oz glasses of wine on Wednesdays, so we tried a German white wine called the Gewürztraminer. It was very sweet with a strong fruitiness, but it turned sour quickly as we were sitting near the stove. Then we started on shots includi
