Unsuspecting bar in Downtown. Old school space with great music and vibe. We stopped in for a few drinks and the free bacon popcorn! Service was attentive. Worth a drop in.
Tried the Morrissey Burger and Quinoa Salad.
The burger was very tasty and juicy but my bottom bun was SERIOUSLY burnt. The fries were pretty amazing though, super crunchy on the outside but still soft on the inside.
The Quinoa Salad had lots of beets which was great but there was a very strong and strange flavor, which I reckon to be a star anise, which is just weird....
Overall though, the meal was very enjoyable and the service was quick and friendly.
Pork Burger. Wow! What flavour, and the dressing on it set it off. The pork Burger was great! Walked in at 5pm on a Thursday. Place was dead, by 5:30 people started walking in. Nice atmosphere in the place. Selection of microbrews and Whiskey selection too. I would definitely recommend this place. Previous reviewers I'm sure came at peak times and that can be the worst to any good place. Oh well, good experience for me.
Mobile review. Great spot to have some drinks and kill the night away.
I liked pub set up,nice and cozy. Our waitress was good, but way too busy.We ordered food, which was ok.
When it started to get busy,it got way too loud and annoying and we left.
Overall I would come back again, just not when it's superbusy.
Awesome Food. We went to The Morrissey Pub on a Tuesday evening to catch some dinner. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cool. Great place to just hang out with friends. Grab a bite and a pint!
Tonight my guest suggested we have a drink at the "Morrisey", a pub she liked. It is an easy walk along the Granville strip, past sports bars and night clubs. I can't believe I have never heard or seen this place until tonight. Such a shame to as this was a gem, not that you could guess with it being attached to the Ramada, a moderately priced hotel chain. The "Morrisey" is so wonderfully different. I found it warm and inviting, but at the same time can be considered cold, dark and gothic. The decor kept my head turning, there were just so many unique elements to see. It almost felt like you were in a haunted castle. Rusted chains hung from the rafters, they rattled along side an eerie abandoned tricycle. A generous coat of wax drippings covered spokes in a cluster of chandeliers. These elaborate lightning fixtures were an eye catching centerpiece, that also lit the whole room. They made the torch holders lining the walls unnecessary. On a shelf there sat a stack of old FM radios, thei

Tried to be a good foodie and join in on the festivities! Burger week 2013 is Sept 1-7, hopefully some of you got to try some amazing burgers on discount this week! =D The burger they entered for the burger week contest is the Lamb Royal ($10). It came with either fries or a salad, and I chose the salad option, since SexyNapkins ordered fries =P.
The Morrissey Pub on Granville Street, in downtown Vancouver, recently underwent a complete redesign from Beyond Beige Interior Design and we got invited to come check it out in a private VIP unveiling party. Along with a tour of the new space, we sampled
