Chive:
Veggie burgers are more popular than ever nowadays. With the introduction of Beyond Meat (should we start calling diet sodas Beyond Sugar?), restaurants all over are adding veggie burgers to their menus. There are some really tasty Beyond burgers out there, as well as some extraordinarily bland ones.
This is a small joint located in Kits, on Broadway, best known for their meatless burgers (they have vegan options available as well). I had their Smokey No Bull Burger, to which I added Baked Yam Fries and a drink for a combo. For a meat-lover like myself, I have to say that I was quite impressed by the burger. While it didn't really taste like meat, it was still tasty on its own, as were the fries. The staff was also quite friendly. This is certainly a joint worth checking out, even if you're not a vegetarian.
Smokey No Bull Burger + Baked Yam Fries and drink ($14.49):
4/5
The burger consisted of a vegetarian pattie, and came with onions, swiss cheese, and barbecue sauce. With the combo, you get your choice of either a bottle drink or Jones soda; I went with the Jones. The pattie did not taste like meat, but was still very tasty for what was, and was flavourful, tender and juicy. The barbecue sauce provided a nice bit of sweetness and smokiness. The yam fries were crispy and had a nice sweetness; I did find them to be lacking in a bit of richness/flavour that fried fries have, but they were still tasty.

Was highly recommended by the gentleman at Fresh is Best(very cool place btw)to give this place a try why not let's go for it,the young lady suggested the No Bull Burger (their best seller) it was astoundingly delicious very juicy and favourable i also tried the vegan gluten-free oreo cookie which was fabulous wished they had coffee on the menu. The service here was very efficient, friendly and i would highly recommend this place
Omg what a time to be alive. One of the best vegan burgers I've ever tried and I've tried a lot of them. Super juicy, and fresh tasty! If you have a craving for a cheeseburgers and fries Tera V will not disappoint!
I had the No Bull burger and added sautéed onions. It was delicious. Would not have known it wasn't meat. I was a little disappointed at first that the cheese wasn't melted, but it didn't seem to sacrifice the taste. Yes, pricier than I think it should be.
Overall good experience though. Yummy burger.
As close as you can get to a real.meat burger while still being vegan. The soy based patties have great texture and don't squish out the sides of the bun like most mushy veggie burgers. The vegan bacon also has a nice bite and tastes great with the smokey BBQ sauce.
Tried the original "No Bull Burger". Other than being less chewy with the patty, the condiments and everything makes it tastes like a regular burger! The portion size is very big.
Yes a Vegan/Vegetarian burger joint! They have a pretty big selection of different food/drink/sweet items to try. I decided on the No Bull Burger with a side of fries and a Boylan Cola. I was surprised at the size and heartiness of the burger - it was huge! I was super full when I was finished but I couldn't stop eating because the burger was actually so tasty.
The burger itself was very similar to meat in the texture but the flavour was amazing. On my burger there was vegan mayo, ketchup, mustard, a sprinkling of vegan cheese (it's always better to use less vegan cheese so the taste isn't overpowering), and fresh cut veggies. There was a BBQ Burger that I'm definitely going to try next time. Also, if I had any room I would have grabbed one of their vegan cookies - they have homemade "oreo" style cookies at the till. The fries were McDonalds style fries without all the grease, as they were baked. They were good but not great - I would get the sweet potato fries next time.
What really surprised me was how busy this place was. IT WAS PACKED. There was not a free seat inside or outside the restaurant and there were people constantly showing up to take the next free table. I was impressed, I must admit. I'm always so happy to see people choosing vegan/vegetarian options (especially when there are literally SO many options, nearby). With that being said, I waited a good 30-40 minutes for what was supposed to be fast food. I could see a bit of a wait for a full house but it appeared that they were desperately understaffed this day and that was what was causing the delay. The employees were super courteous about the whole thing so not a worry - I wasn't in a rush anyways.
I would definitely recommend checking this place out - come hungry!
I thought it was a bit pricy for something that wasn't cry big, but I wasn't very disappointed in my food. After all, you don't see many vegan burger places. For my taste, I thought they put too much sauce in my burger, but other than that, I was pretty satisfied.
the food was dope. the burger, the fries, the drinks. service was friendly as well. my only problem with this spot is price. i think it could be a little cheaper.
Excellent all around!. Great burgers, great wraps, great fries, great drinks, great smoothies.
I have my favourites but everything is excellent.
Vegetarian fast food - a fantastic idea and a much needed service to the area and for society as a whole.
Love this palc. I would be surprised if I saw anything but raving reviews of this place. Great menu that can be easily veganized; friendly staff. BEST veggie burger I have every had. The lentil burger is amazing as well. Also, the vegan dipping sauce for the yam sauce is delicious. If you need to grab lunch with a friend who is not vegetarian, I highly recommend this place.
Just had my first visit to Tera V. I had the No Bull Burger and it was excellent. The baked yam fries were also excellent and all served hot. I also had a mixed berry smoothie that was really good. I will be back.
MMMMMMMM. Vegetarian fast food! Finally someone is catering to vegetarians when it comes to take out and fast food.
Dining in is great too, there is a good, outdoorsy feeling to this place and the staff is friendly.
Great food, well priced, clean restaurant, friendly staff - it has everything you want in a place to eat - caters to vegans and gluten free diets too.
We'll Definitely be Back Soon!. My husband and I finally tried Tera V after meaning to do so for quite some time, we were so glad we did! I'm vegan and he's a meat eater & we both really enjoyed our meals! He had the vegetarian "No Bull Burger" & I opted for the Barbeque Tempeh Burger. I was so impressed to see a vegan option available (vegan mayo & vegan cheese) what a treat! Both burgers were filling and delicious & would definitely curb any burger craving. Baked Fries were a nice alternative to deep fried. Definitely recommend Tera V for a totally guilt free "fast food" experience!
Yay! Since going vegetarian I've not eaten a single burger.... this was like a foodie reunion and it was DELICIOUS! Friendly staff, great service, and higher end but reasonable prices.
Delicious Burgers. The burgers are delicious, espcially the BBQ Tempeh. I recomend these premium veggie burgers to anybody with well tuned taste buds
Loved it! Daiya and Veganaise option is a nice touch!. I had the BBQ Tempeh Burger. I thought it was REALLY good! Normally I don't like the flavour of tempeh, but it went really well with the smokey bbq sauce, and the texture was great. I also love that they carry Daiya and Veganaise . I will definitely go back and order that burger again.
My husband had the garden burger and says that it's his new favourite veggie patty in Vancouver. He said the patty has a nice creamy consistency to it. There's cheese in the patty though (so it's a no go for me).
The fries were pretty good too. Nothing to freak-out about, but nice and thin and crispy. We ate them all.
Fresh & fast, but clean. Tera V is fresh, fast, and clean.
Last night we ordered the Tempeh Burgers -- one of which was veganized. The Daiya cheese melted great, and the buns were fresh and light. As for the tempeh, it was surprisingly tasty, with a lovely BBQ sauce. I usually find tempeh rather dense and flavorless, but this one was lighter & quite tender.
We also got one order of yam fries and one order of regular potato fries. Both were baked, so no evil frying! Both were very tasty, but we preferred the regular potato fries. They were a little crispier.
We'll definitely be going back soon. Next time I'll try the No Bull Burger.
Mediocre Value / Good Food. I really enjoyed the Barbecue Tempeh Burger and Lentil Panini. Both the yam fries and potato fries were good too. The Fiesta Tempeh Burger was just ok.
Simply great.. I have had it all when it comes to veggie burgers, but this place has 4 variations that are sure to please almost any palate, including devoted meat eaters. I had the Barbecue Tempeh Burger, my bf had the Fiesta Tempeh Burger Combo (includes fries and a drink). Both were very fresh. The whole wheat bun was the perfect size and very soft, the tempeh patties were crispy round the edges and had a great moist 'meaty' texture. Both came with fresh purple onion and lettuce, the Barbecue Tempeh also came with tomato and cheese, unfortunately the cheese was processed. We both ate for just over $20.
The decor is clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The owner came by to see how our food was and told us about some of the other great items on the menu. We will definitely be back to try another burger and a Lentil Panini!
Tasty burger, no complaints. Lots of ketchup and mustard "triple-o" style - I would ask for it on the side next time. Baked fries were good, reminded me of the Yves restaurant that used to be in Kits. I can't complain about the prices - they're on par with triple O's, and like triple O's you order at the counter so no tip is required (unless you really want to!) Suggestions: compost bin next to garbage for the compostable takeout containers; a water station with cups like they have at Flying Wedge; coupons for free fries to encourage frugal types like myself to return!
I'm a meat eater..... I am not a Vegan or a Vegetarian however I decided to try Tera-V Burger. After the first bite I was hooked. The No Bull Burger was to die for. It felt like I was eating a gourmet burger. Atmosphere was great and owner and staff were fantastic.
Tera-V has me hooked to convert to a non-meat eater...okay maybe not! However I will be back.
Tera V Burger locates next to Harvest Deli. Like most of the customers there, I stared at the menu for a while because we are not familiar with the items on menu. Can’t hardly imagine what the taste would be. I ordered a Cane Cola. Not bad. Tempeh is Indonesia food which is mainly made from soy. Very healthy and nutritious. It’s pretty delicious! The fries are a bit bland though....
The city of Vancouver has become the first city in Canada to embrace “Meatless Monday,” encouraging residents to forego meat for one day a week for the sake of the planet and their health. It’s a good thing that Vancouver has a lot of tempting vegetarian restaurants. I’ve heard this restaurant has the best veggie burgers in Vancouver. I’ve been told that this burgers will make a veggie believer of any carnivore. I was a tad sceptical, so I brought my friends @customersright and @mrmarkrobbins – who are vegetarians, to judge these burgers with me. We tried three different burgers from their menu: the No Bull Burger, Fiesta Tempeh Burger and the Garden Burger. Prices range from $6 to $9. The burgers come with a choice of drink and fries. The fries are baked, not fried, and they’re pretty good! We also ordered a side of yam fries to share. If thirsty is what you are, they also have a smoothie bar and a good assortment of cane and zevia-sweetened sodas. I gotta admit, the burgers really h
