Decent food and cheap prices for the area. Tastes pretty good as well. My go to dish is definitely the lemongrass chicken on rice. If I'm hungry and in the area I would come back again.
Reasonable Vietnamese food at reasonable prices for the area. As an added bonus, a slice of orange and a fortune cookie comes at the end of your meal.
A nice little Viet/Cambo/Thai restaurant with a great menu selection. You can order anything from Beef ball soup, to chicken satay skewers to pineapple fried rice or even pad Thai. If you're looking for a hot bowl of pho downtown (because most downtown Vancouver pho places suck) and you're in the Robson/West End area, this place hits the spot - especially when I'm craving BunBoHue! When I'm having pho, the broth and the noodle chewiness are MOST important to me. They always serve your pho in super hot broth with the freshest basil & bean sprouts.
Living downtown Vancouver and craving pho can be a struggle, but this place manages to give me my BBH fix :) I recommend it to hardcore pho lovers.
I will come back!
Not sure why some bad reviews, I eat the Rare Beef and Tendon Pho here all the time and it is absolutely outstanding. One of the very few Pho places left that actually makes an 8 hour broth............and I have tried Pho from around the city.
Delicious and highly recommended although note this is not a fancy place if you are looking for atmosphere. Just great Pho.
I had a serious hunger strike during major long weekend traffic downtown. My girlfriend wanted to take the husky pup for a walk and picnic along the sea walk. After a horrendous hour or more, we make our way out of traffic and park. We found this place near the corner of Robson and Denman. It doesn't look like anything fancy on the outside, but what drew my attention was their huge menu advertised on the outside. Hmm, spicey beef thai fried rice sounds good. Also the marinated pork on vermicelli with fried spring roll and pickled salad. Prices are reasonable and we got take out to have our picnic along the seawalk.
So how did the food taste? Actually it's not bad... The fried rice was done nicely. I will ask for extra spicey next time. The marinated grilled pork patty reminded me of the bau chau pork patty on hastings. Very delicious. I asked to use their washroom and as I was walking pass their kitchen I couldn't help but take a peak. It's very clean! Pots are mint and the gas elements are clean. Kitchen tables and garbage bins are clean. Man I was impressed. Service is straight forward and efficient. Not too shabby. I will definitely come back for take out. I also noticed that they have a mini patio outside. It's perfect outside for dog owners! The owners didn't mind and next to us while we were waiting for take out was a couple with another dog! Btw we got fortune cookies lol
Good Value. Very reasonably priced, viet spring rolls are good, the pho broth is good. salad rolls are a tad bland, but then again I guess they are kind of bland by nature. Lemongrass chicken is good too.
Absolutely delicious pho. I'll be back!!
Delicious! The pink walls are outrageous. My meal was cheap, and the pho bowl was massive! I'm going again.
No frills - good prices - good dinner. Went there for dinner tonight and we had the lemongrass chicken on rice with fried egss for $7.50. It was very good and we enjoyed the meal and we will be going back to try the Pho.
Pho-My-Goodness. Pho Express on Robson is a great addition to my hood. The Pho here is very tasty as are the spring rolls. No frills, just good ol' affordable tasty pho. YUM!!
So delicious! Big servings, and cheap prices. Don't forget to try the Vietnamese spring rolls. MmmmmMmmmm
