Best shawarma on rice I've ever tasted so fresh and tasty love this place and the owners are so friendly I can't wait to come back and eat here again
There’s a popular salad bar near my work that I’ve ignored for years. But then people in the office said they liked it, so I tried it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Green Leaf Salad Bar is on Bute near Pender. An A&W is opening up on the same block where the Enterprise Rent-a-Car used to be, which is weird cuz there’s already an A&W at Bute & Alberni three blocks away! Whatevs.
This place deserves a hi five. For being downtown, with exceptional frugal prices, and fresh ingredients at the salad bar, it's no wonder why people would pass on junk food. I see alot of people to corporate workers come in here, for the salad bar.
The selection at the bar is huge and when I came during lunch, there are herds of people. Grab and go, saves you time, and your saving your health. My girlfriend loves the bar here since she works in coal harbor. Definitely a place to come to if your crunched for time.
Excellent Food and Friendly Service. Wandering around and looking for some healthy food for lunch. Had been by here before and today I stopped in. Glad I did! The salad bar looked amazing with a great selection of items. I had the chicken shawarma over rice with tabouli salad and some hummus. It was some of the best I've ever had. Excellent flavor and a good size portion. Friendly family run local place.
Excellent salad bar and really friendly people!
Great salad selection, and they have shawarmas, hummus and falafels. Family run, friendly service, great for lunch
Amazing tabbouleh. Not sure about the salad bar, but the tabbouleh was tip top! fresh, with a nice touch of lime/lemon sprinkled over the lush green and olive oil, it was the best i've had in the last couple of months!
i hate hummus but the one they served was surprisingly smooth and i was astonished to find myself dipping the bread in it and swallowing it down. i was impressed.
next time my only hope was to get a bigger serving of tabbouleh and the meat.
The lentil soup is a must! Love it!!!
I was on a search for something healthy to tide me over between lunch and dinner. Voila, I found the Green Leaf Salad Bar. This little place serves a variety of Mediterranean food. The salad bar looked fresh and tasty. I helped myself to a good sized portion of mixed greens, peas, chickpeas, pineapple, strawberries, orange, kiwi, red cabbage, beets, mixed vegetables, raspberry vinaigrette, and olive oil. The prices are good value too, $1.59/100g. Sometimes, simple is the best. Salad, my way
My history with shawarma is short. Like multiple orgasms with a partner, I never had it till I moved to Vancouver.
