Best food, lovely service. I barely eat at other restaurants.
Everything I have tried from this fine establishment has been outstanding and the service is great as well!
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The food is delicious, the prices are (very) affordable, the service is out of this world - it's always the same person when I come, which is probably too much, and they are the best! - and location is accessible. Ideal for take-out. 6,7, 1000 stars really!
The most delicious Indian food, ever! My wife and I need look no further for Indian food that has our mouth watering at the very thought of having roti for dinner. Is it bad that we go there nearly every week now? I think not.
Indian Roti Kitchen is more of a small takeaway place. They don't have perky interiors, just two humble tables. Coming to the food, they had a scale for spiciness, I chose 4, since I love spicy food. The stuffing was flavorful, subtle not as im your face as other Indian restaurants. Not too expensive either. Recommended for a decent Indian meal.
If you love spicy Indian food, you have to eat here! For their dishes, they offer a 6 point spice scale and it is actually very spicy. We ordered the vegetable pakora, butter chicken roti, and the lamb biryani. Even though this place is small, the food has a lot of flavour. The majority of their customers order their food to go, but the lady who works there provides service regardless.
Price is fair and their portions are quite big. We would recommend this restaurant hands down.
Located at 2961 Cambie Street, Indian Roti Kitchen is opened 7 days a week from 4 pm to 10 pm (no lunch). When I arrived at their small shop, I discovered that it is primarily a take-out place. In the distance, I could see several take-out orders ready to be picked up. A steady stream of customers came in, picked up their food and left. Dining in is limited as there are only two tables.
Delicious Indian foods wrapped in a roti blanket. Spice level is is honest, the hottest spice level is definitely a hot spice, you've been warned :)
Can't go wrong with this small establishment, but it's mostly good for To-go orders as there are few tables.
I recommend this to anyone wanting cheap delicious and healthy food.
I like roti, but didn't know of any places until I found this spot.
I got take out, which is probably better as its a really small space. There are maybe 3 tables here.
I got the chicken curry roti with a spicy rating of 4. It was a good amount of spice; you get a definite burn. All ingredients were good quality, and the taste is what it should be. Will definitely try other items.
Just had a wonderful meal there with 4 friends. Sat evening, no wait, very generous portions, very friendly, great service. The lamb saag roti and veg korma roti were our favorites. Their mango lassi was also a big hit. Best roti place in town. We will be coming back!
Lamb Madras Roti. Various levels of spiciness, this curry has a creamy texture and tender lamb. some good!
Multiple visits.. We neither live nor work anywhere near the area but make a point to visit frequently. Simple menu, fantastic food, amazing owners. A+, would food again.
Love this place!. Excellent food, friendly owners, great prices, and able to customize for specific diets. Really good experience every time we eat here. One of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver.
Perfect comfort food!. Indian Roti Kitchen is our favourite take-out food... by a long shot. When we moved to Vancouver from Toronto one of the things we missed the most was Gandhi Roti. We were soooo happy to find Indian Roti Kitchen when it opened a few months ago.
The food is great - and for the price it really can't be beat! Two full meals for under $10. I also love that we can get good India food close to home and can get it spicy enough to be really interesting.
Delish foods - nice addition to Cambie Village. This little gem is a great addition to our neighbourhood. The small but cozy space is clean and minimalist & modern. However most of the customers (including myself) appear to be picking up take-outs. I've eaten perhaps 4 times, and each time was rewarding.
The biryanis are very nice, the basmati rice ever so fluffy and thoroughly steeped in flavor. However I wish they put a bit more meat in the meat biryanis, nevertheless they are always tender and flavorful without being overly-salty, a trait many local Indian restaurants foods exhibit.
I now prefer the rotis (meat or vegetarian) as they are total comfort foods and a great value at around $7-9 for a VERY generous portion. Last night I had the aloo gobi roti (cauliflower + potato) and it was very good.
Spiciness is on a 6-point scale (1 -> 6) so you can have it exactly as you like it. I started out on a 1 and am now at 2 (yes I'm a weenie), and can probably handle 3 alright.
Owners (young couple) are warm and friendly, and you are always greeted with a big smile when you walk in.

Amazing. Clean, healthy food, options, good for special diets, dishes made to order, priced right. Go here. You will be happy. I felt like I was floating through space, eating paneer to light trance music. (In a good way).
We came here today after walking by several times. The food was phenomenal. We started with the pakoras which were the perfect balance between moist and fried and tried a mixed vegetable roti and a mutter paneer roti. Both were fantastic. I am a big fan of Indian food and this may be my new favourite place in Vancouver!
Delicious food, Good quantity with the reasonable price, service is phenomenal, I can recommend this place to everyone for sure!!!!!!
At the risk of repeating what everyone else has said about this place...it's all true. Efficient, good value and delicious curries. And if you say you want spicy, they'll give it to you! Had the butter chk and madras lamb, two thumbs up...These guys are doing a great job
Been waiting for this place to finally open. Quick, friendly service and delicious, flavourful food. Very generous portions!
So happy this place opened and is good! We'll be adding it to our regular visits list!!
I've been going here for almost ten years and it's always excellent! Big portions, get some extra to have leftovers... Everything on the menu is great. Mixed pickles are a great addition if you need a hit of extra spice! The woman who runs the counter is always lovely (I think she is one of the owners). Highly recommend
What a meal! Absolutely delicious! The spice is no joke be careful. The mango lassi is incredible too.
First time here, had Lamb Roti (spicy), suggested by attendent. Great taste, lamb chunks were properly cooked in a delicious gravy wrapped in a large portion roti (bread). Nicely cooked ,hot and spicy meal. Enough for dinner serving for one. You can select from range of spice, I selected the max spicy one which was okay as per Indian taste. Only take out, no dine in option when I went. Neat & clean packing. Roti got soft after some time due to gravy, will try rice option next time.
Just wow, I was craving for something spicy and man, did the Indian Roti Kitchen Deliver ! , The food was spicy, but not too hot and you could taste the love and care they put in their food! Well done! Keep it up !
Was my first time ordering from them I ordered the chicken biranyi. The portion was really good and I'm going to get some meals out of it. I appreciate i can choose the heat level, the only complaint I have is you can't order any Naan or roti as a side but wasn't a deal breaker. Will definitely buy from them again.
I don't have much experience with Indian food, but I thought it was really good! I got the lamb roti with mild to medium spicy and the spice was just right. I might get the next spice up next time ðŸ¤
When I miss Toronto’s Indian roti, I come here. The food is excellent and tastes clean, balanced and home cooked with a lot of care. My favourites are the samosas, korma and madras curry.
Would eat here every night if I could. Fave spot in the city. Delicious food, large portions, no frills kind of place. The mutter paneer roti is 11/10.
