Best tacos around. Drinks are pretty good too! Highly recommend.
Awesome place, food is delicious, margaritas are delicious, staff are friendly- make sure you get in early though, we got there five minutes after opening and it was already packed.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, service (typically friendly Latinos) and food. Great selection of tacos catering to all our dietary preferences, including two gluten-free and five vegans among our group of eight. All the tacos, whether meat or vegan, were delicious. As was the horchata. It was lunch time for us (two families with toddlers) but I'd like to return for their dinner menu sometime and drinks. As authentic as you'll find in Vancouver for lunches.
Excellent food, and authentic! My favourite Mexican restaurant these days. The head chef is from Tulum, and the other cooks are also from Mexico. The portions are of a healthy size. The food is priced very reasonably and on the low side, though the drinks are priced on the high medium end.
I strongly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Mexican food.
This is one of my favourite Mexican restaurants. The setting is fun and colourful, and service is casual.
What sets this place apart is that The quesadillas and tacos are uniquely delicious. The combination of flavours and textures in the filling is like nothing I've had before. When I asked the server how authentic it is she told me that the chef and other kitchen staff are Mexican. So that's authentic enough for me.
Also there are plenty of vegetarian, pescatarian and heart-healthy choices.
I went twice and will have to be back again to show this place to more friends and family.
I can't vouch for authenticity since I haven't had tacos in Mexico but these tacos are tasty. Mole was a bit too sweet for my liking. Beef tongue was very tender. Couldn't see chorizo on chicken and chorizo taco. Wish Poblano were a bit more roasted in corn and Poblano. Overall tasty and filling.
It is interesting that, as a Cantina, Los Cuervos shares the same block with other tavern-like places such as Savio Volpe and Les Faux Bourgeois. After all, catina, osteria and bistro are the same word for casual dining with going easy on your wallet, and kudos to their contributions to this lovely East Side corner built for food lovers. Los Cuervos is definitely the more inexpensive one in the bunch, providing decent eats and awesome tequila drinks, and displaying quality of a neighbour gem. The tacos were mostly tasty, with some being exceptional like the pork shoulder one and the bison one, and some needing a bit more thought on the texture or the flavour, like the beef brisket one and the seared tuna one. The hibiscus margarita was a sexy and delicious surprise however. Now I’m even more curious – a visit to Sal Y Limon shall happen soon for a comparison!
Came in late night, still hungry from our previous dinner. We ordered several tacos (bison, fish, prawn and chorizo) as well as some flautas. Food came quickly and the tacos were amazing. Lots of meat and we'll portioned. The flavour combinations were great and the sauces on the side added to the dishes. Hard to choose between here and Sal Y Limon!
For the love of food you must try the churros with chocolate dip! It's a great place for tacos and cheap eats. Had the tacos, duck flautas, aguachilles and churros. All great.
I made a trip to Los Cuervos a few weeks back with my friend Jon for dinner. I was quite opened to trying this taco place after hearing my friend’s great review. This small establishment can have eaters roaming in during busy hours. I do not have a love or hate for Mexican food, but this place is well worth a try! It is located along Kingsway and Fraser street.
Why I love this place: They have this taco with crispy cheese - amazing!!!
Would I come back: Yes!
Would I recommend it to others: Yes! You have to order the churros with the dipping sauces. Heavenly.
A new neighbourhood gem. All the classic tacos and a bunch of extra imaginative creations. A few really tummy sounding vegetarian and vegan options too. Good variety of tequilas and interesting cocktails for a small menu. The churros were delish and our whole table surprisingly preferred the cajeta sauce over the chocolate. Our server Erin was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be going back.

We ordered 3 kinds of tacos each. He had the Lomo Cantinero (pork shoulder), Choriqueso (chorizo and cheese), and Conchinita Pibil (Yucatecan pulled pork); meanwhile, on my plate were Alambre (bison skirt steak), Atun (seared albacore tuna and wasabi), and Camaron (battered prawns). We were very happy with all our tacos – they’re very delicious and flavourful and not too messy, which was nice. The tuna had a lot of wasabi, I think too much for my taste but if you like wasabi, you’ll love the Atun. Will definitely go back to try more.
Posted on April 16, 2015 by mag_mei Sometimes the best way to drum up traffic for a business is to utilize the healthy competition in the neighbourhood. For those who get turned away with no seating at the nearby taco shop, this one is for you. Why wait when there are more tacos to be had only a block away? I certainly liked the setting and food better here. The building is quite eye catching. Located at the corner of Robson park it utilizes its visible wall. A side window that gives a peak into their kitchen and a character in sombrero calling attention to it. Walking up to the front you immediately attempt to pull at the several doors, each directing you to the other. Though when in doubt the sandwich board is always a good sign of the entrance adjacent. If you couldn’t tell or missed it, the board made it clear what they sold: tacos. The restaurant was the size of two and with a distinctive decor in each room it looked like two separate restaurants joined together by a narrow corridor. We never ventured into the adjoining room. Instead we found comfort by the front entrance, near the glow of the contact bar. The setting was cozy, I would describe it as being boutique. The art was funky and as far as tacos go these were quite stylish, and at $4 a pop fairly quite pricy. I was recommend this by a follower of my blog, they declared these to be the tacos worth trying, so I sat down with high expectations. Though at the same time fully aware that I prefer tex-mex to authentic Mexican tacos. Our original seats were at a table less than an inch away from our would be neighbours. To give us both some elbow room we opted to sit at the bar by the window, facing the side walk and its orange pylons. Not the best view, but at least we could spread our limbs and be more free with our conversations. The lit candles set the tone. Long glass cylinders with an image of the virgin mary on the exterior. I don’t know much about the culture, but their presence seemed like a good cue i
Night out with family. Had the Bison taco and bacon, pull pork and onion... Wife had Bison also, Pork and cheese, Prawns and avocado, Peking Duck and sweet potato (more potato then duck). Daughter had the avocado and cheese. One of the meat tacos was burnt.
Yes, the tacos were cheap and they are appy size. A family of three spent in the low 70's including an 8 dollar tip. This was with one beer. I would raise the $ to $$. They offered a Fantasmo hot sauce, which is a mixture of habanero and the dreaded ghost pepper. It was hot, but I've had hotter, in Vancouver and in Mexico.
Service was good and prompt and we sat in front window bar seating type, it was a clean place.
An Incredible Experience. Saturday night, my partner and I set out to find some good food. We were torn between all the restaurants in our area that we've never tried, but the atmosphere in Los Cuervos was the deciding factor. When we walked in, the tables were all full, and the wait was about 40 minutes. We decided that the bar would be fine as we were starving and just wanted some grub.
We were given the specials list and recommendations by our server who was very friendly, but evidently very busy too. We ordered the Beer with Lime and Ice, and the Sage Cocktail. I didn't care much for the Beer, but the Sage Tea cocktail with tequila was incredible and I will definitely order it again. We were first intimidated by the long list of tacos and tostadas, but we decided to try a little bit of everything. We ordered two tacos at a time, one of each of us, and slowly moving down the list.
The food here is SO GOOD. Sitting at the bar, we were able to watch the head chef and owner make our food with such ease and patience. He made everything look easy. He and his assisting cook probably served us more than our servers to be fair. Our final bill came to about $65. That was for two of us, drinks, and dessert. And we were stuffed!
The ambiance was incredible, and the food is the perfect thing with casual drinks. My only complaint is with the servers, who did not communicate with eachother, and we eventually had 3 servers all asking us if we wanted dessert... We also had one come to us to answer a question, and walked away immediately after answering. She was not helpful. The same server came back to the bar, and stood for 5 minutes at a time to flirt with two guys sitting next to us, and didn't bother to check on us...
I'll be back none the less, I really recommend it!

The tacos are really tasty and the crispy churro with caramel like dip was yummy! Their special of the day taco (adobo with cheese) was my favourite!
Love it. I love the tacos at Los Cuervos! I could eat the deep-fried avocado one everyday, and the homemade salsas are great. I'm actually glad I live far away from this place otherwise I would eat here waaay too often!
My only suggestion to them would be to please add a veggie tostada option :)
Excellent tasty tacos. Terrific margaritas. The tamarind Margarita was very tasty.
Nice casual feel. Good staff.
Reasonably priced.
Veg tacos were great especially the mushroom taco and deep-fried avocado taco. My friends liked theirs too.
Worth going to for sure.
Mmmmmm. Tasty, simple dishes served with very good sauces. Good variety of tacos and tostadas. My wife enjoys the gluten-free / dairy-free options. Service is good if it's not too busy. Love the interior.
Quick, excellent modern Mexican. Had the chorizo, pulled pork, and the avacado tacos just stopping in for a quick bite, all excellent. Prices good too. Will be back soon.
Not bad, but a bit pricy for tacos. This place has really good tacos, ew and creative flavours. The pork belly feature taco is a must order. The food is great, but $40 for some tacos and two drinks for a couple, it's quite expensive. I do recommend it for ppl who want creative flavour tacos.
Great spot for drinks & snacks. The tacos were really good... this is a high end 'fusion' style taco. Not anything like Sal y Limon which is great too. They're more expensive than Sal's, but it's a bigger taco with better ingredients. And the cocktails were spectacular. So, I would recommend you check them out for drinks and snacks for sure!
We didn't know much Mexican food but we liked the food combinations. The tacos are small and fast so you can taste different ones at the same time. Will come back

Leave a reply 603 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC Food rating: 8.5/10 My second visit here, I discovered that Los Cuervos expanded and doubled the size of their restaurant! This meant no wait, unlike last time when I went with a party of 8 and the wait was over an hour. I’m still new to blogging, (as opposed to not just instagram-ing) so unfortunately I don’t have a great picture of my favourite taco- the featured taco of the night. I simply forgot to take an individual picture of it, but it’s the taco closest to the camera in the last picture. Both times I’ve been here, my favourite taco turned out to be the taco special of the day, so I would recommend ordering whatever the special is! I would describe Los Cuervos’ tacos as a middle ground between La Taqueria and Tacofino. La Taqueria has more authentic Mexican flavours and are served with smaller tortillas, Tacofino is definitely fusion-westernized larger sized tacos, and Los Cuervos is a bit of both! Salsas! Camaron- lightly battered prawns Suadero- beef brisket This entry was posted in All Restaurants , Mexican , Tacos and tagged bitesofvancouver , food ,
Stopped by for dinner for the first time several nights ago. We had a terrific meal and the service was awesome. A funky little place for sure. Definitely had a positive experience. Well worth a visit!
This place is our fave Mexican restaurant in town. We always come here when we crave Mexican. It's got both fun and classic flavours, great drinks, and everything is made in-house. The tortilla chips are freshly fried and hot. Service is good, and there's often a lot of people here :)
Muy bien! Excelente!
Happy hour priced tacos were absolutely delicious. Really good value. Margaritas were really good as well. Our server, Miguel, was sweet and patient as I tried to practice my Spanish with him.
Definitely will be back for margaritas! I plant to try every flavor they have 😁😁
Absolutely love this place! Delicious food, very chill relaxing atmosphere, amazing service and the mango margarita was perfect. Gonna be our new go to spot.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ All 5 stars. Great margarita and great quesadilla (chicken). Chips tasty and worm with two dips.
Tacos 🌮 were delicious. And chilos of course, for desert😊👌🏻Great place and I will definitely come again.
Great food and drink, and good service! Mexican food always reminds me of summer.
Wow! Delicious tacos and the margaritas are amazing. Tried both the passion fruit and hibiscus margaritas and both were fabulous, however if you want something sweeter choose the hibiscus. The tacos we tried were Birria de res (lots of meat!) pastor, pollo, coliflor (a fav!) and pescado. You can’t go wrong with any of these! Happy hour special of one margarita with two tacos for $14.00 … one fabulous meal!
