On a weekend trip to Vancouver we were looking for breakfast. We thought of going there early Saturday morning then changed our mind because it had a "cash only" sign...and who carries cash these days?
On Sunday we looked around again and the "cash only" sign was gone so we decided to go in. I am sure glad we did. They had quite a few items on the menu for a tiny cafe.
Their cafe mocha was delicious and I regretted only ordering a small one. For breakfast I had scrambled eggs with bacon, sausage and bread. The bread was probably one of the most delicious breads I have ever had. I am unsure if they made it in-house but it was good I forgot to ask. The sausage was good and the bacon had a lovely spice to it (it was a bit too much slice for one of my friends but I loved it).
The ambiance was lovely and the service was great. Very friendly crowd. And it seemed like there were some real Italians in there as well.
Come here several times for lunch and normally I order the lasagna or pizzas and cappuccino here. I also tried their pistachio gelato which is quite good but small portion. I like the pizza and they have quite a bit of variety of pizza. The nice thing is they cut the pizza smaller portion so you can order variety of pizzas for lunch. Their cappuccino is pretty good also. The place is quite busy but it is a big cafe restaurant. My complaint is they don't have green tea gelato. But overall I do enjoy dine here.
Delicious coffee and pastries! My favorite pastry was the cannoli (famous pastry from Sicily), which had a perfectly crisp shell and delicious creamy filling.
Ate here twice while visiting Vancouver. Had omelets, an egg and ham sandwich, an apple tart, and coffee. Enjoyed everything. The apple tart was delicious! Wish they had free refills on the coffee.
I really like the concept of this place. The pizzas are fresh and delicious and service was excellent. I felt like the staff were all having fun and enjoyed choosing my pizza by weight. Definitely would go back. I'd be interested to try other locations and am curious how often the pizza choices xham
Just alright. As the title says, this place was just alright. We tried the mini chocolate waffle, it was good, but nothing to write home about. The london fog was a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was quite good.
I'm a huge fan of their tiramisu! Friendly servers too.

Authentic Italian!. Will make you feel like you're in Italy! the food is scrumptious beyond belief. I went every day I was in Vancouver. It's addictive. Service is a bit disorganized, but hey, that's what makes it authentic.

The modern feel of this Italian bistro is welcoming with a great downtown feel. The long pizzas to choose from offer a delightful combination of the standard topping fare, as well as delicious gourmet toppings like fresh thin-cut salmon. The specials are often delicious and never dissapointing. The idea that they also offer an excuisite coffee bar combined with alcoholic selections makes this an ideal place for conducting lunch or after work meetings. Thee cheers for Sciue!

Reminded me of my childhood in Italy when we went to the coffee bar! Great decor, place was a bit messy with newspapers on tables but not a complaint. I'll go back many times and bring friends.
Fresh quality ingredients, impeccable classic taste, efficient and friendly service… That’s why we like Sciue! The flavours were spot-on. Luxurious smoked salmon complemented by refreshing spring mix made a amazing combination. Prosciutto, black olives, artichoke heart, and mozzarella… All beautiful Italian classic ingredients, laid on top of each other perfectly, as it was designed by god and tasted nothing but heavenly. No this is not Cactus Club where you are surrounded by 3 or 4 beautiful waitresses, smiling and watching you eat your over dressed salad or over salted soup. Here you pay for good food and a slice of a respectable culture.
No healthy living New Year’s resolution would be complete without a side of pizza and I’ve never been one to give up on my goals. If there’s one thing Sciué does well, it’s their pizza.

If you order a flatbread you tell them how big of a piece you want and you pay by weight. This is an interesting idea because it allows you to get small slices of a few different flavours. Despite this, I had eyes only for the smoked salmon flatbread. I got two pieces for around $7, which I thought was a pretty good deal. A thin cool layer of smoked salmon smothered the entire flatbread. The salmon was amazing and super fresh tasting. Under the salmon, the flatbread was covered with mixed greens and drizzled with olive oil. The flatbread was thin and crisp, and it didn’t really have a crust. This time around, the pizza was perfectly crispy if a little burnt, which was most likely a result of its preparation. To me, this was the most distinctive factor of the pizza, especially since each bite could be executed quite easily and fluidly.

A spacious and bright space benefiting from the fantastic natural lighting that floods through the large glass walls, Sciue Italian Bakery is perhaps best known for two items. The first being the Pane Romano, described to me as a crispy flat bread/pizza like slice adorned with various Mediterranean-influenced toppings. The other is the Paninoteca , traditional Italian sandwiches. I've seen many a public transit rider carrying one of this place's branded to-go cups of hot or cold liquids as well over the years.
Sciué Italian Bakery Caffé is one of those places I *should* have tried YEARS ago and I hadn't. I came here once to have coffee with my friend Shawn Smith, but I ended up going with him to Joyeaux Cafe for brunch because Sciué was incredibly busy. Today I had the chance to have lunch with my good friend Chris Walts and I found out why Sciué Italian Bakery Caffé is so popular. It looks as though the main item at Sciué Italian Bakery Caffé are sophisticated, gourmet pizzas (what they call the pane romano . I ordered a Salmone Pane Romano (by weight, $30-$35 per kilogram, tomato sauce, misculin salad, smoked salmon). I paid about $7.00 and it was plenty for me (I *almost* didn't finish it). The salmon was tender, flavourful and the dough was light despite what you may think for something that looks like pizza. Excellent coffee and the food was fantastic. The avocado toast I had was delicious and the bread and other ingredients were obviously fresh and high quality. The staff were very courteous and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Overall a great experience and felt like a little slice of Europe.

Had great breakfast ordered 3 egg omelette and Avacado toast with almond croissant. Everything was great 👍🏻 would definitely recommend. Staff was very polite as well. Just portion size is a bit small for the price other than that it was good
What a find this place has been. Watched most of world cup games in here. Place is lively with a great atmosphere. Very italian with some really good items on the menu. The pizzas are fantastic. Very good breakfast and you can get your coffee and beer at the same time. If you walking around downtown check this place out
Shauna the manager was awesome. Explained the pizza by the weight to a newbie like myself. Even solved a few technical problems for me to make my stay more pleasant. Above and beyond service. Oh and the salmon pizza was great!
