We've enjoyed several delicious meals and will go back to our new fave restaurant. Charming atmosphere and staff, and I love their antique dishes!
This restaurant is one of my favourite places to go in the city now for amazing food and a warm ambience. Absolutely everything I have eaten here is full of rich, incredibly delicious flavours to be expected from a real Italian kitchen. The service we received was also exceptional. I felt like I was at a New York Italian restaurant with the character, style and taste.
First time taken there by my colleagues , small place but great great food ,,,,, definitely coming back with more friends , highly recommended ! Love , love it !
Amazing food and service! Love the cozy atmosphere. Soo good!!
Great food & Service! I love the fresh pasta, local ingredients and a wine list to suit all Italian flavours!
Buratta to make you weep. Pasta to make you believe in god. Dessert to make your eyes roll. Staff that is so lovely they feel like family.
Wild Boar bolognese with orecchiette was just brilliant paired with the pico maccario lavignone barbera d'astu....do I need to say more? #Drool #foodporn #vancouverchef Dan Martin
Consistently tasty , ,attentive service at a fair price ,
I absolutely love this little restaurant! Food focused menu with authentic American Italian fare with a nice wine list! This place is a gem! Thank you Sara and team for always leaving my picky taste buds satisfied!
Had a wonderful meal here tonight. This place is a little neighbourhood gem. The food, service and ambiance were all great! Looking forward to coming back and trying the Alla Familia menu (there share style family menu). Looks like the perfect spot for my 40th bday coming up.
A little gem in the Cambie Village neighborhood that serves classic American Italian dishes. They have a great selection of antipasti, pastas, and entrees. There are also seasonal specials which changes regularly (love that!), these offerings seem more modern than those on the regular menu.
I've been here a few times now and have never had a mediocre meal. A little pricey, but everything I've tried was seasoned, cooked and presented with precision. The vegetable antipasti was fresh and full of variety of flavours & texture, highly recommended! Pastas are always al dente.
Tonight, we ordered the burrata with asparagus and bresaola from the special menu...ooooh so yummy. My veal chop was tender, and not greasy despite being deep fried. The lemon caper sauce, recommended by our server, was the perfect accompaniment - there's a choice of three sauces. I also love that you can choose veggies and potatoes or spaghetti for the side dish with the main. My wife had the osso buco with saffron risotto and loved it. We were too full for dessert :( But the zeppoles we had on a previous visit was heavenly...soft like clouds.
Service was great tonight as always. Our server was on point and did not drop a beat. Really high end service without any pretension.
We were lucky enough to get in on the early dinner as they do get really busy here. Reservations for later dinner is a must. Arrive before 6:00 if you don't have reservations and they might be able to squeeze you in.
My friend suggested Sorella after seeing a picture on instagram. I had never heard of it before either so it was good to try something new.
It's a cozy restaurant. When I got there, there were a few tables. By the time my friend got there, the place started to fill up.
I ordered the Spaghetti alla vongole. I thought this was interesting because usually this type of pasta is with linguini. They actually didn't even have that pasta on the menu. They had spaghetti, penne, and fettucini as the main types of pasta. When our dishes came, I was surprised by the portion. It was pretty generous looking. The clams in my dish were pretty big as well. I liked my dish but I wish my spaghetti was more tender or chewy.
Overall, I think this place is pretty decent priced for what you get. The service was great. The waitress checked on us and refilled our water pretty frequently. I would probably go back with my family if we were feeling like having Italian food.
One-liner: Cozy down-to-earth Italian cuisine in a very posh environment with an ‘alla famiglia’ that leaves you feeling full
Highlight: Zeppole
Recommended for: Those looking for a fancy feel with midrange pricing
Would I go back? Yes.

A tiny little red Italian restaurant on Cambie. Highly recommended. We had family style for a large group (chef's choice). There was a starter course, a pasta course, meat course, and dessert - all of sizable portions. In the starter choose was a salad, mussels, and bread with I think ricotta cheese. Pasta had two types of pasta and risotto. Meats was a need dish. And dessert was a pistachio chocolate biscuit type dish and a cinnamon covered puff with cream filling. All the food was very delicious. The place is quite busy and we only managed the 5:30 reservation.
2017 Update - Just went for the third time and the consistent excellence is worth the 5 stars.
Some highlights from latest meal. Cornish hen was so juicy and the skin was nice and crispy. The butternut squash and ricotta ravioli was very creamy, the pasta outer was super thin and delicate. The halibut crochettes were very quite enjoyable.
Hands down one of the best italian restaurant in vancouver. Amazing intimate service and fabulous food. 100% recommend if you want to celebrate a special occasion
Sorella was so kind to accept our 6 person reservation in the last minute and were so accommodating to us. They made some very nice wine recommendations and the hand written menu on the wall was really cool! I can see the Chef put a lot of effort in the food presentation and we were always asked if we were enjoying our dinner, we definitely were! This restaurant puts a lot of effort and is a gem compared to the restaurants nearby.
Sorella was a wonderful dinner and a lovely evening in this small restaurant. Every table was booked on the Friday evening. We started with the burrata and heirloom tomatoes and the clams in wine and butter sauce. Then we had pasta with wild boar, and with clams, and with Italian sausage. We washed it down with a pinot grisio. Excellent service and food.
I did enjoy this place for sure. We went for pasta Tuesday, and I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, along with the bruschetta, and arancini to start. The service here is superb, the food is on point. The only thing I'd say that's remotely negative is the speed in which the food takes to come out. Overall, id definitely return here. PS- the dessert is to die for.
Great food and wine selection. You can tell that they put a lot of love into their food. Generous amounts of truffle which you don’t see often.
I will I’m reviewing on behalf of my brother and his girlfriend because they went here for their annual Christmas dinner. They don’t have Google so they asked me to do this on their behalf. Nice intimate food and service and setting but the seating was a little bit weird because of Covid. four stars
Stumbled upon this restaurant and ended up having a really great experience! The food was incredible and the service was fantastic. 100% recommend!
