Visited with my family for dinner last week and we were all so impressed by the food and service! Gozen sets are incredible for trying many different kinds of food. Sashimi was fresh with big portions and our server kept coming back to refill our tea with a smile. They also have many unique special rolls and we especially loved trying the Godzilla Bite and Yummy Yummy Roll. The presentation was beautiful and the rolls were so rich in flavour I felt I was in sushi heaven! Will be coming back for more when I'm in town again!
One of the best sushi experiences I've had in Vancouver! If you're a fan of sashimi and nigiri this is the place to visit because they have a lot of high quality fish that you can't get at a standard sushi restaurant. I was impressed to find that the prices are surprisingly reasonable and the servers are very helpful. The aburi nigiri selection was delicious and I'd highly recommend it if you want to try a little bit of everything.
I had my birthday party here at Sushi Bella and we were 6 in total. Reservation went through very smoothly and we ordered Chef's sashimi, nigiri selection, and couple of rolls. We were all amazed by how beautifully every dish was presented and no single person complained about food, service, or anything. They do great sashimi and sushi but alongside the standard ones like rolls they do plenty with a fantastic twist. This place is one of my top 5 sushi restaurants in Vancouver, for sure.
Just happened to walk by and went in. Great service and fresh sushi. I am on a trip here from Toronto, and forgot how good the sushi options are in Vancouver. Give it a try!
Can be a little pricey but always delicious. The restaurant is really cute and the vibe is friendly. One of the best places for sushi in Kits.
Location : Bus no. 4 takes you straight but also can hop on to 99 B line and walk few blocks.
Ambience : Tiny place with welcoming servers
Food: In two words, JUST AMAZING !
Craving for Sushi, Sushi Bella is your destination then. Starting from their Mango Sushi to Veggie gyoza (dumplings) to the piping hot tempura is amazing !
Note: They close early , so may not be an option for late evening cravings .
* Decent Pricing
I had the sushi pizza and salmon teriyaki & prawns with my friend and they were both incredible! The food here is very creative and tasty. You can tell from their food that they use high quality ingredients and special sauces that are highly addictive. My friend and I have now found our go to sushi place in Vancouver!
Best sushi in Kitsilano! The Ocean Dream roll and Cowboy Roll are my favourites and the chicken teriyaki is excellent as well. The sauce for the chicken teriyaki is the best I've ever had and it really makes the chicken and vegetables stand out. The interior is also very modern and the service is great whenever I visit. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious sushi in Kitsilano.
My new favourite haunt. Had the mango prawns, yakitori skewers, deluxe udon, crab cakes and dynamite roll. Everything was delicious - I'm always skeptical of sweet things getting mixed into savory food but it worked well. Udon was cooked well, and the crab cakes were chock full with meat. Loving the jazzy music and service was great!
I think the sushi here is great. Well put together and presented rolls. The teriyaki sizzling plates are also delicious. It's a cute little dining room too, and they play great and relaxing jazz music. Service was a little slow, especially since we came right when they opened. Overall, a good alternative to the super cheap sushi places without going fully upscale in price.
I hate traffic. Actually, I think it’s more that I hate crowds. I don’t get claustrophobic or anything like that, I just hate the hustle and bustle, the long lines, wasted time, the random inconsiderate acts when things get busy, and whatever other shitty things that tend to happen in a busy situation. I’d just wrapped up a birthday lunch at an old friend’s house and decided to drive downtown to meet Little Bunny who was doing some early Christmas shopping, since I too needed to get some shopping done. Considering it was Black Friday weekend, and I was driving downtown, traffic was a mess, finding parking was a 30 minute task and the mall was just stupid busy that I wanted to leave the moment I got into the mall. After wandering Robson for some gifts, I threw my hands up in the air, said we needed to get out of downtown to somewhere a bit more chill before I lost my mind. Just something about the whole busy shopping days really grinds my gears. So, we got to the car, drove to Kits and decided to park along 4th to find somewhere to eat. It just so happened that we parked right in front of Sushi Bella, LB’s favourite sushi spot, so we didn’t even really need to think about it.
Came here for a quick lunch and wasn't disappointed! While the sashimi was on the pricier side, around $12 from memory, the pieces of salmon and tuna were fresh and thick. I also tried the toro (tuna belly) nigiri and a chopped scallop sushi. Both were also delicious.
You pay for what you get - good quality sushi and a nice environment. This is not your hole in the wall noisy sushi bar. Service was also great and efficient.
I love sushi and really liked sushi Bella. I had the spicy salmon roll and crunchy roll for dinner when I first went. Both rolls tasted fresh and were very flavourful with different sauces added to them. The second time I went I got the teriyaki bento which was good and very filling. The salad it comes with is very good. I was surprised the bento didn't come with rice but was happy after eating it since it was a lot to consume. Also, I have heard the Bella Tower is amazing and I want to try it next time I am in Vancouver.
This place surprises me because most chains don't also have consistent quality. This place does. Whether I'm in North Van, Kits or Burnaby. The service was very attentive and the food comes out quickly. It's super cheap to upgrade to wild salmon and they have the best BC roll in Vancouver. There version of the sushi pizza is also a
Interesting and high quality sushi. Good selection of interesting rolls. Prices are decent and a nice room. I've lived in Kits a while, but never tried this place until recently. Glad I did. Service was excellent too. I highly recommend the Volcano, which is a sushi pizza. It's made on a crispy rice cake. Really good.
The Best sushi in Vancouver. At first time, i was just making a joke with the girl i like because of her name being the same as the restaurant.
After two weeks later, we were walking over Sushi Bella and decided to take a shot at it. By surprise, the atmosphere was really nice, we order Sushi pizza, and the taste was amazing!
We are sure that we will come back there whenever is possible. Since then, when we are thinking about sushi, we always go there!
P.S.: If you wanna try the best of Sushi Bella, go to the 4th ave location. (we tried both!)
Really like this place after my first entry. Great atomsphere, light music, romantic and well service. A variety range of special rolls which will surprise you. But I won't vote for gangster roll. I like the quiet environment and it's near Granville island. So a walking after lunch here on Granville island and grabbing a cup of coffee at bridges or just a gelato with the fantastic sunshine would be perfect.
Definate must try for their lunch special.. I tried this place on a whim and was not expecting too much. To my surprise, this place was excellent. First off, the service was nice indeed. I ordered the Salmon Steak which came with: salad, mixed vegetables and miso soup. It arrived all nicely plated and was well portioned. I really liked the dressing on the salad. Salmon tasted great.
And lastly, the ambience was a pleasure. If your in the neighbourhood you should give this place a try.
Amazing food presentation! Delicious as well
Sushi Bella is frustrating sometimes. The food and prices are always depending and good. The service on the other hand, needs improvement. They're nice and friendly, but here was what was wrong with today's meal:
The sauce was delectable! It was a savoury combination of mayo, teriyaki sauce, and chilli oil! The fish was sitting on a fried rice pancake, which h
