Maruhachi Ra-men - Vancouver - Photo album

Everything about this place screams authentic Japanese, from the decor, to the seats at the tables (you'll understand when you go), to the service and politeness of the staff. Loved my experience here. We got the Tamago Ramen which is a Chicken based broth. Also added some fried garlic which gives t
The chicken broth had rich flavor but the noodle did not fully absorb the flavor. The noodle was also too thin and too firm. On the other hand, the noodle in Aka Ramen had a little bit more flavor, but the broth was too sour and did not taste good.
Solid choice for ramen in Vancouver, rich and balance broth (cream chicken broth) which is refreshing different than other pork bone variants. Decent sized portions, tamagoyaki was a favorite with the kid(s).

There are so many great Japanese ramen places around and theirs is just unique. It is not salty and the seaweed is good. Noodle is good and the broth is uniquely special. Serve is
Very decent ramen, different flavour than usual pork broth; not as rich and salty than most of the other popular places. If you like lighter flavour, definitely need to try this out! Half boiled egg is the best in town!!
