Beautiful and comfortable little spot. Amazing food and service! Mari and the rest of the gang are A++
I love Trafalgar's menu - the set menu is great value for money. My favourite desserts are the passion fruit flan and triple chocolate mousse. The service is excellent and I love that it's right in my neighbourhood. I always recommend these businesses to friends!
Sweet Obsession has a wide variety of sweets and cakes that will satisfy any sweet tooth.
It's a cute spot to meet for coffee and amazing dessert, pick up the perfect cake for a birthday, or get one of their many individual sizes to take home.
Seating is tight - the vibe is more on the clean, modern side. Parking is fairly easy to find.
came here after a good dinner in green leaf sushi, and well desert, i'm not a big fan of desert, came here so that can sit down and chat, the place is quite when i entered but then after an hour it was packed, i guess it's because everyone after dinner came here afterward as well. ordered a couple items in here, creme brulee, banana cake, and can't remember the last sweet item at the moment, but everything was good, price wise it i thought is average, i'm not big on sweet desert, but definitely this place is atleast decent, my friend said the banana cake is better usually. expectation met, that all that matters :D
ps update #2 (2017). i still haven't tried the legendary quiche that my friend have mentioned.
One of my favourite Vancouver bakeries!
Funny how I discovered this place. Was looking for a tiramisu cake for a friend's birthday. Googled "best tiramisu in Vancouver" and it came up with two places. I called the other bakery first because it was close to where I worked and would've been convenient for me to pick up. I called that bakery (to make sure they had the cake available) and was hung up on... twice.
Eventually led me to Sweet Obsession... and looks like it was meant to be! Their tiramisu was amazing. I've been addicted since!
Sweet Obsession is one of our favourite dessert spots in the city. We've been here a couple of times and have tried the chocolate ganache, the passionfruit flan, the lemon orange flan with blueberry, and the black and white mousse. The passionfruit flan is our favourite by far, a must try! For drinks, the americano is pretty standard, and the hot chocolate is on the sweeter side, but not bad.
This place has a large selection of desserts so there should be something for everybody. Prices are decent and the quality is better than most. We will be back!
I definitely love this little Cafe. Once i entered it, lovely cakes drew all my attention and it's hard to make your decision which one to eat. I wanna try all of it. And there's no doubt about the any aspects of cakes. However, the bad thing is that it's always crowded and hard to get a ideal space if you go there with a few friends and want to sit together. (Ps, the tea i ordered tasted weird)
Sweet Obsessions has been on my list of dessert cafes to visit for a long time but I never really go to that area (16th and MacDonald Street) and it’s not that convenient to bus there either. Actually that area just reminds me of when I had to take my road test because ICBC is nearby. When my friend said she felt like eating cake for dessert, I suggested this place and it did not disappoint.
This place deserves alot more praise. Right in the heart of a residential area this little gem is a hidden secret in the West end. They have really I mean really good desserts here. I came here on valentines day to get my valentine her cake.
They had one called the bleeding heart. It's in the shape of a small heart and when you cut into it, it bleeds a jelly filling. That was so cool lol. I should've played the keep bleeding love song LOL.
I also suggest you try the creme brule here... Really gooooood....and there's a heated patio outside for you dog owners like me. They'll be happy to bring you a bowl of water.
• hidden gem, this place is always busy
• limited seating, they probably have only 4 tables inside and 2 tables at the patio which no one uses during the winter
• wide selection of decadent cakes and pastries
• Raspberry cheesecake has its perfect sweetness and texture
• Fairly priced for its flavour and artistic look
• they also have jams, cookies, biscotti, cinnamon buns (yum! This goes really fast!)
Sweet obsession is always on the top of my craving list. I was not feeling well on the Saturday night and my sugar craving was pretty intense. Hubby drove to Sweet obsession and got me cheesecakes to go! YAYYY! Their cheesecakes were so good flavors but not overwhelming. Mango flavor is my all time favorite.
Been there late in the night. It was cold and dark outside, but this small store feels like home. One thing to notice is that they can take orders by table. So if you wanna dine in then find yourself a table first then they will bring you the menu. We choose the Caramel Walnut Mousse and the White Chocolate Raspberry Mousse, but then notice there's more choices on the table menu! Alright we must go back to sample all the goods there. The White chocolate mousse is just a typical dessert, a bit too sweet for us and lack of the fruit flavour. I think the other berry mousse might has a better fruit taste. Highly recommend the caramel walnut mousse! The texture is light but creamy, and the flavour is a combination of coffee and walnuts, and a bit bitter because of the caramel. It has a perfect level of sweetness and even the biscuit bottom part is so delicious. Love it.
