Excellent!
We started with the artfully presented, delicious pickled herring that came with onion, pickle, bread, and very fresh sour cream. Ukrainian dinner: 2 cabbage rolls, 6 perogies (2 potatoe, 2 yam, and my favorite 2 sauerkraut), Ukraine Sausage with some killer sweet/hot mustard, and some very refreshing Coleslaw. For dessert we had a Kiev Cake- chocolate mousse wrapped in meringue. Very different and very yummy. Very reasonably priced for Vancouver. Everything on the menu sounded good and it was tough to decide. Would highly recommend!
Cozy restaurant with large portions. We all got Ukranian dinners and we were very satisfied with the meal. The cabbage rolls were especially delicious. Only downside was that the service was pretty slow, but as the evening went on, luckily things got a bit speedier. Overall delicious food and would recommend!
This is a cute place that sells solid Ukrainian food. Would definitely recommend one of their specialty dinner and get assorted flavours for pierogis, so you can try them all it gives you a Ukrainian food sample. Cabbage rolls were pretty large, good flavour and relatively filling. My favourite pierogi was the potato and cheese one. They also give you a side of what seems like a coleslaw. It’s a good portion.
Only complain was the service. Waiter never filled up our water, checked in and we had to go to them for a takeout container and to get the bill. Just didn’t feel tended to at all.
Perfect spot for a hearty meal on a cold winter day.
The quality and authenticity of the meals here are superb... and the volume, well the photos says it all.
Service is excellent and friendly, sitting at the window and watching the cold world pass you by as you tuck into a comforting meal is a bonus.
It's a small restaurant, but if there is a wait, it's worth it we found.
On a such rainy day, we tucked into this nice and cozy place without any history of eating Ukrainian food, and that was a perfect choice. The place itself is very cozy and a place of a kind that you find yourself in a local cafe in Ukraine (even though we had not visited Ukraine, sadly). The foods were beyond my expectations, you should try their soup (Borscht is my recommendation) on a cold rainy evening! We tried roasted duck which was served with vegetables and mashed potatoes. It was not well cooked and tender. The Kyiv cutlet and Oliviye (an authentic Oliviye!) were also amazing. I highly recommend this place.
Based on takeout, the process was easy. Call your order in and give them your pickup time. Perogies were handmade and so were the cabbage rolls. The cabbage rolls were massive, and most importantly, delicious. Borscht was pretty good, the salad was ok. Great experience, everything was packed to go very well.
The food is tasty. Besides the service is also very good. We had a great time there.
