Stumbled upon Tap & Barrel after having spent a few hours at Craft Beer Market down the way. Wanting to find a new place to try some more local craft beer, my cousins and I walked outside of Craft Beer Market and could see Tap & Barrel from where we were standing so we gave it a shot. We loved it! The service was great, the beer was even better, and the location/view (even at night) was spectacular with all the lights. & their poutine! <3 Also, the bartender was super friendly...after finding out we were from out of town, he wrote a list of places down for us to try for more local craft beer and great food. I live in San Diego, but the next time I'm back in Vancouver, I will definitely be stopping here.

What can I say? I love this place and everything about it. Supporting all local artisans and suppliers, the best local craft beer and premium BC wine, locally sourced food made from scratch. And the best team I've ever worked with! The view, design... Cheers!

5 stars every time. Their customer service experience overshadows every other food & beverage place in Vancouver. It gl has amazing views of the water & BC Place, great craft beers, decent BBQ wings, & tasty spicy Caesars.

Ate there for lunch today on the patio. Food was awesome, the table could hit three pokestops (ya ya... it's a selling feature to me!) Service was fantastic. Thanks Katey!

Excellent restaurant with good service and great atmosphere. We were there group of 15 people and they charge us 18% tip (with notice in advance). The food was delicious, especially the hummus. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas, with beautiful view of the ocean. They have 2 floors. The oreo cheesecake was amazing. Highly recommended.

I went to Tap & Barrel with a group of 15 on a beautiful sunny Thursday evening. We got seats on the patio, and unfortunately our table was split into two so we couldn’t all sit together. The food was great. I especially loved the truffle waffle fries. My fried chicken Mac and cheese was also really tasty.

Get the truffle waffle fries! We ordered extra! Food was very tasty, most of us ordered burgers and everyone was well pleased. The kids cheese pizza was huge. Really good beer choices too - most were unique; they love up to their name. Space on the ground level was quite noisy, get an upstairs table if you can. They take reservations for larger groups (we were 11 people) which was hard for us to find.

Great spot for dinner in Olympic village/on the water. The steak frites was by far the best meal anyone in my party had at the restaurant, the steak was high quality and very flavourful. I had the chicken pesto linguine which was nice, although the chicken was a bit dry. The ‘Hugo’ drink was super tasty, and I liked that they had no and low alcohol cocktail options. Staff was great, I recommend sitting upstairs for a great view.

The ceviche was amazing, hints of ginger really set it apart. The guac was very average, I was expecting it to be better. The red sangria was also very nice. Patio gets busy very quickly on a nice day, the barrel room still gives ocean views despite being inside. Overall, pretty good local chain.

Good and vibrant place to enjoy an evening out. The place is usually full on the weekends and hence there's a wait time of 15-20 mins. There's no option for flights which is kinda odd. The hummus and pita bread is a must try as the pita is freshly baked at the brewery. Staff is courteous and friendly. Must visit if you're at Olympic village.

Fall vacation lunch at Tap&Barrel was excellent. So much to see in the Olympic Village neighborhood on the bay. Took lots of photos of the skyline, water, art installations and fall colors. The restaurant was large, tidy and had an extensive menu. We particularly appreciated the organization of beer on tap (see photos) by style. Squash soup was very good. Recommend.
