It's a beautiful place. The pizzas were fresh and delicious. The view is beautiful too. The dishes took a bit of time to arrive, but we were a group of 20 people so that's understandable. The staff was so nice and helpful. They even made a vegan pizza for one of our vegan colleagues.
Delicious wood fired pizza done right. Dough is crispy and has a nice chew. Perfect amount of char. Had the Genoa pizza and it was covered in crispy salami. Great German beers on tap that are hard to find anywhere else.
People who rate the food for one star don’t understand proper Neapolitan pizza and should be going to dominoes. This place is textbook.
This place is a gem. Perfect pizza and I found a new favourite beer. Staff were great and food came out in a timely matter. Views of North Van and candlelight. Low key hip and woth the trip... Yes, that rhymed.
Great pizza, thin crust, crispy on the outside, the wood fire oven really makes a difference.
Service was great and attentive by the Italian dude, Leo if I remember well, sorry if I did make a misspelling. Then Robert came and chat with me. I had such a good diner on my own. I will definitely come back with friends or alone. The cherry tomatoes pizza with Anchovy was to die for paired with the Ripassa Val Po great pairing.
Thank you again!
For me this is the perfect restaurant. Some may feel the choice is small but everything on the menu is a contender. My charcuterie was amazing (seriously, it was as good as anything I've enjoyed in Europe, even the "side" of toast) and my Genoa pizza was delicious. The choice of Germanic lagers is excellent but, as a solo diner, so was the quality of wines by the glass. This establishment is, in my opinion, all about quality. Unfavourable reviews that reference choice or the time waited to receive their food are missing the point. Food worth enjoying at a price worth paying is hard to come by but if you're after a pizza focused dining experience then do yourself a favour and think about eating here
The pizza was amazing, very fresh with lots of flavor. They have mostly German beer which was also very good. The service was very friendly and were able to accommodate our 4 year old. We definitely be going back next time we visit Vancouver.
A true breath of fresh air in YVR.
Has been as close to a boutique bavarian outpost as you can get in North America and the beer/wine selection is sublime.
The pizza is phenomenal as well
Owner is truly a man who cares about his craft and that experience is something special for this town.
We were craving pizza after a 10 day trip on The Rocky Mountaineer. We found Jos'. Everything was delicious. The young woman working behind the counter made an unforgettable Caesar salad and a super thin salami crispy crust pizza. Jos' dad was terrific. Thank you.
