Ive been coming here for brunch for 3 years now and have never had anything less than an amazing experience. The service is always friendly and prompt and the food is fun and delicious. The view from the patio is also gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this place anyone wanting to try something new.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s my go to when company from out of town arrives. Consistently delivers quality both in service and in food. We just went there for Dine out Vancouver. Great value and a fantastic menu! I might try to sneak back again this week.

What an awesome experience. The first time we visited the restaurant is so romantic, me and my husband sat where u can see the full moon and in our picture we are in the middle of the moon. The food is very yummy specially the seafood platter cooked to the perfection.I do recommended this finest restaurant. Our second time they serenade the guests, with the beautiful musicians and they even gave us free appetizer.

There is a good reason I've been going to Provence for so many years. The food, service, ambience, and wine selection is superb. We were there recently for my sister's 65th birthday and they threw in extra appetizers and a dessert platter. Superb!

I have been wanting to try brunch here for a while now. We went on Sunday of the Labour Day weekend and had a fabulous experience. We had exceptional service and the food was delicious! Brunching is a bit of a hobby for us and Provence Marinaside did not disappoint! We'll be back for Happy Hour soon!

Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent dinner at Provence last night. Every dish was "an imaginary trip to the south of France" perfectly prepared. The service was also flawless including the host, our extraordinary waiter and their sommelier! Great value on their wine lists too.

This is definitely on the fancier side of eating but it's definitely worth the splurge. I recently went here with my family and were absolutely blown away. The service is amazing, even the bathroom is beautiful, the view is spectacular, the complimentary appetizers are so rich and the entrees are really good. They're not your typical tiny portions that you pay $$$ for. These are actually pretty decent and I would say so well worth he price.

Today I was invited to attend the sixteenth anniversary of Provence Marinaside. This February 20th marked their sweet 16th, and Chef/owners Jean Francis and. Alessandra Quaglia invited us to stop by to see first hand what they had in store, and to help celebrate. My role: the plus one to James of @hellovancity.

We were a group of 8 people and we went for dinner during the week. The atmosphere, food and service were all over the top. Walter, the server was amazing and paid a lot of attention to details. The only thing I didn’t like was the music. For a French restaurant, I was expecting French/European kind of music more than Latin. Other than that, this is one of the most beautiful places and best service I’ve ever had in Vancouver

The wild mushroom ravioli is to die for and seafood linguine was good.

Omg so good, the reviews aren't wrong when they say the food is amazing. Here's what you should definitely order: mussels, seafood linguini, and the bamboo rice. The lobster bisque was okay, and the crab cakes were also okay but not worth the price. The view is not of the mountains but you get a nice waterfront and boat view anyway. The chocolate pecan pie and chocolate mousse were both great. The early grey tea was amazing! The espresso was great - not burnt. I would recommend 100%. Enjoy!

My favorite thing of all on their menu is their bread basket.  I know it sounds weird but their croissants are so buttery and soft.  My favorite thing every Sunday morning.  The rest of their food is legit but I am addicted to their bread.

I was lucky enough to sample the Taste of Yaletown 2016 menu at Provence Marinaside. It’s been awhile since I last ate there, so I’m glad to go back for a re-visit. It's a $45 menu for Taste of Yaletown, which may seem pricey at first. But after sampling all the dishes, the flavours were very good, and portion size was bigger than I thought.

A pleasant place to be in the summer when their sliding windows facing False Creek is left open. We ordered steel head trout on several occassions, each time, the presentation is different, but always perfectly cooked, crispy on the skin side, with unusual vegetables. Their wine wall is impressive. I like their grilled vegetable bites a lot. But the olives lack variety. Yes, we recommend this place.

We also come here for weekend brunch often. They have a wide variety of brunch dishes, more so than they other restaurant offering brunch in Yaletown.

Restaurants with a view are not my first choice of establishments to visit anymore when it comes to dining out because I am biased and believe the food may not be great, such as the Boathouse chain, Top of Vancouver, Fraiche, Seasons in the Park, Sandbar and Horizons. So when my friend wanted to try Provence Marinaside located in Yaletown and with a view of False Creek, my initial reaction was meh... Well, it was more like could we try Bella Gelateria next door instead? Okay fine, it was more like a beg instead of a suggestion!

I love this place. The baguette is always so fresh and the jam is amazing. They make a solid brunch! Today my friend and I got the simplest breakfast but in my opinion the simple breakfasts are a true test to a restaurants ability. If you can't master the basics ...then I'm doubtful anything else on the menu will impress.

I had scrabble eggs and turkey maple sausage with hash and baguette friend had the same with the exception of poached eggs. Eggs were perfect on both dishes and the oj went down nicely with my hangover.

Come here!! If you're looking for a good treat the baguette french toast is to die for, the crab Benny is amazing.

You'll love this place ...it can get a bit pricey but I think it's worth it.

This is French Mediterranean restaurant on the Yaletown waterfront.  Provence had been on my “to do” list for a long time, and this was going to be the occasion to try it.  We arrived early for our reservations, and our table was not ready, so we had to wait. After being seated, and ffter we orderd, the server came by with a complimentary tapenade and crostini

This post marks a new feature I’ll be adding to the blog, which focuses on a “Delicious Dish” that I tried at a restaurant recently. Rather than an entire restaurant review, I will be recommending a specific plate. The other day I went for brunch at Provence Marinaside in Yaletown, which is somewhere I frequent quite often for their French-inspired egg dishes and beautiful waterfront patio. This time I arrived past noon, and was craving a lunch entrée rather than a breakfast meal.

I had the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, which comes slathered in a white wine butter sauce with garlic, diced tomato, and lots of fresh herbs. The sauce was a work of art: super rich and decadent without being overly heavy, and a great complement to the earthy mushroom filling. The fresh herbs and tomatoes added a desperately needed punch of brightness, balancing out the dish seamlessly...

Located by the Marinaside cul-de-sac in Yaletown (in the same area as Urban Fare), Provence Marinaside has been a neighbourhood staple for over a decade, serving a seafood-centric menu inspired by the culture and countryside of Southern France. As one of the founding parters of the OceanWise program, a Vancouver organization dedicated to the responsible enjoyment of seafood, we went for seafood-based dishes to try out on the Provence brunch menu.  We ordered two items off the ‘savoury’ portion of the menu: Seafood Crepes ($16) and Seafood Spaghettini ($22).  The crepes were light and fluffy and generously stuffed with salmon, baby scallops, shrimp and spinach.  The spaghettini was a perfect dish for me because it had all the seafood items I enjoy best (ie. prawns, scallops), in a hearty tomato sauce.

Their recent renovation has upgraded the restaurant to an elegant and classy atmosphere. On a sunny (or at least not rainy) day, the heated outdoor seating area would be ideal; lots of people watching to do as it's right next to the Seawall. A great spot to catch up with a friend over brunch.

Food is nothing out of the ordinary; it's good but not particularly memorable. Portions are just enough to leave you feeling comfortably full and prices of brunch items are reasonable. The Croque Monsieur benedict was a hit at my table. The deep fried potatoes on the side are delicious as well. Espresso drinks are on the pricey side. Instead of getting a $6 mocha, perhaps go for one of their mimosas. Although the desserts tasted good (especially the vanilla ice cream), they were much too expensive for the portion received so I would not order them again.

Service was prompt and friendly; our coffees got refilled at least 3 times during our meal. It was good coffee! Street parking is available around the restaurant, FYI $2 for 48 minutes.

We came here for brunch and have nothing but good things to say about the food. We ordered: salmon baguette, seafood crepe, chorizo omelette, and the waffles with raspberry compote. The food was served hot which is so nice, many places serve the plates warm. On a different note, the service was poor. Our server was young and didn't know how to work the table or which side to serve drinks without him reaching over you or putting the drink to close to your hand.

I'm not sure how this is not on everyone's radar, it is truly an underrated Gem of the Vancouver Food scene,  I suspect it's probably the laid back vibe...  We Vancouverites really do like heaping portions of pretention don't we?

Everything about this place is suberbly done.  From concept to execution, Provence is impressive on all sides.  When people rave about casual French food, this is what they have in mind.  Special mention to the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, Grilled Squid, Lamb...  Come to think of it, I've never had a disappointing dish here.  Vancouver needs more like this.

Have been here twice. Not very impressed with the mains. The 1st time ordered a lobster risotto which was ok, and 2nd time ordered a shrimp dish which I didn't enjoy at all. However, their dessert is better, ordered the Creme caramel and that was amazing, very creamy. Overall the location is great, and staff is very friendly. But I don't think I will return unless it's for dessert.

Since I seldom eat breakfast out on weekdays and my mid-morning meetings tend to be at coffee shops rather than at full service restaurants, I didn't know that Provence Marinaside serves breakfasts.  But searching for a location in walking distance from home, with a water view for a celebratory and farewell breakfast with family, I found out that Provence Marinaside is open from from 8 am to 10:30 pm and has a great breakfast menu.

Great Food, Service and Location. Provence Marinaside's location right on the water in Yaletown provides a picturesque backdrop. Took a friend from out of town and was impressed by the service and food. Our server, Liz, was amazing and we took her advice on the mains and the wine.

The food was on point. We shared the Escargot appetizer and it was quite unique and I would recommend it. My friend had the Salmon and I had the Halibut from the Chef's seasonal menu. Both dishes were outstanding and the wine selections were perfect. Price was commensurate with the experience...

Wonderful. I couldn't ask for any more in a dinner foodwise. Ambiance is OK and it's a good location The associated wine bar next door really wasn't that great in terms of food but they do have daily wine specials. This all sounds more negative than it should as the meals really were outstanding and the service first rate. Definitely a place worth going to.

Outstanding customer service. I can't even begin to express how impressed I was by the staff and service at Provence. We have a bit of a long story, but in the end we were floored and touched by the service we received.

It was my mum's 65th birthday, and her and my dad drove out from Alberta to celebrate in her hometown. My mum picked Provence based on a colleague's recommendation, and though I was a bit selfishly wary as to what a French restaurant could do for a vegan (myself), I was accommodated with a lot of class and kindness and had a delicious meal of chickpea cakes with fresh veggies and a tangy tomato sauce. We all loved our meals, but we loved our server Walter even more.

I've worked as a manager the service industry, and I think Walter has it all down perfect in a way I've never seen before. He was extremely helpful, and had a genuinely kind and absolutely unpretentious attitude.

Here's where things get unfortunate for us! My mum was dehydrated and has really low blood pressure, and later in the evening she fell off her chair in the middle of a lucid conversation, hit her head, and fainted. As her daughter, I was horrified and will spare the details, but the staff and floor manager were immediately on the scene, called an ambulance, there was a very kind woman with First Aid on hand, and they refused to let us pay our bill before we sped off to the hospital. I was deeply moved by everyone's kindness in what was a pretty terrifying situation.

But there's more! My dad and I were sitting in the Emerg waiting room at St. Paul's, worried sick, and Walter (our server) showed up after his shift with a Get Well card for my mum. This is a total stranger bringing a card to another stranger at midnight in a hospital that no one wants to spend time in! It was so far above and beyond that I can't even express my gratitude for his kindness without tears.

And we were all happy with our food before the incident, to make this a well-rounded review. I think Provence is an outstanding establishment and I feel like we'll be telling this story many more times to come. I urge you all (they are extremely accommodating with vegan/gluten free/allergies) to visit this beautiful location, and hopefully you'll be spared the ambulance ride.

And if you read this Walter--I hope you weren't freaked out by my huge hug in the the Emergency. :) My mum is on the mend and she was so touched by your card.

Don't Bring Young Children!. First time here today and food was quite good not to mention excellent attentive service. It wasn't a great idea that we brought our 2 year old son I admit as half way thru the meal he became antsy. My wife took him to see a dog on a leash outside the patio to try and calm him down as he was crying. This D-bag that was eating with an older male started bitc&ing and complaining that my son was scaring the dog and that he was a BRAT. When we took a second/third look at this thing she looked like she was from the 1st season of Rich Housewives of Vancouver(Christina)...A typical Yaletown Bimbo and the attitude and all the reconstructive surgery that supported that. The altercation didn't end up too friendly and I shredded her attitude to pieces...typical snobby Yaletown clientele in a good restaurant overall. Lesson learnt: Avoid Yaletown altogether when hungry and with your little ones.

They buttered my salad!. I don't see why Provence Marinaside does not have a higher favourable rating than it does on Urbanspoon (80% at the time I'm writing this.) My wife and I eat at a lot of French restaurants, including many in the actual country of France (including Provence.) We were impressed.

For one thing, they put butter in my salad. It was the warm goat cheese one -- a dish I'd recommend as a starter, which has gotten other raves in reviews here. The round of slightly pungent goat cheese had been coated in seasoned flour and nicely fried. It sat on a bed of mixed greens with something unctuous, goopy and tasty on the bottom of the salad plate. When the waitress came over the check how things were going, I asked her what it was. She replied "beurre blanc" and went to the kitchen to ask how it was done. (My wife always asks for techniques so she can try them at home.) Turns out it was butter with the milk solids sweated out, heated with a little sugar and reduced balsamic vinegar. Not exactly health food, but it tasted great! First time in thousands of restaurant meals that I've had buttered salad.

My wife's steak was nicely charred, and I enjoyed my shell- and fin-fish heavy boullibase. I've had richer, more saffronny versions, but Provence's was no slouch. The desserts were good too, especially my white chocolate clafoutis, which had a crusty/crunchy topping over smooth fruit puree in a pie crust.

The waitstaff brought over a cookbook penned by the Provence chain's chef Jean-Francis Quaglia, who happend to be eating dinner there that night with some visitors from France. He was kind enough to coem over to autograph it -- we were celebrating my wife's birthday that night -- when I bought a copy for her.

Sure, Provence Marinaside isn't cheap, but quality never is. If you want cheap French, go to a poutine joint. If you want a nice night out by the waterside, Provence is it.

Great Brunch Spot. This is one of my favorite brunch spots in Vancouver. There can be a wait to get a spot on the patio but, on a beautiful Sunday morning, it is well worth the wait.

I will note that every once in awhile I have had a brusk server. I am not sure they always have enough staff on so the servers may be spread a little thin.

I always order the same thing.

I get the Basket Of Fresh Baked Goods to share. It is a basket of baked goodies including muffins and croissants,

I then get the traditional two egg breakfast with bacon. There is nothing extraordinary about it. But it is always well prepared and presented.

I round it out with some fresh orange juice or a strawberry banana smoothie.

It is just a nice spot near the water to enjoy a weekend brunch on sunny day.

La belle France, where are you?. "What's in a name?" The cooking has nothing to do with Provencal nosh, or even much with French cuisine. It can be very good nonetheless, although a recent Sunday brunch was nothing really special ... apart from the attentive service, amazingly good given the crowds. Go for dinner or an al fresco lunch for better food, although it's a notch up the price range then. Good to very good, but why not try harder? Or is that too not Vancouverish?

We did not have to wait long to get a table, although it was pretty busy in the dining room. They were trying to fit in a lot of tables, so it felt a little crowded in here. If you prefer somewhere quieter, this place definitely would not be the best choice. But I quite enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Being such an egg lover, I ordered Shrimp and Snow Pea Omelette because it usually used 3 eggs. The snow pea was brilliant in the dish – sweet, crunchy, and refreshing. I was glad to see such a small detail could make a classic dish so much more fun to eat.  Israel’s Smoked Salmon Benny was visually pleasing. Those poached eggs coated with creamy hollandaise looked so perfect as if they just jumped out of a magazine. Too bad I was busy chatting with Is and forgot to ask him how they tasted.  Compared to the brunch I had at Forage the day before, although the dishes here at Provence Marinaside were less original and not as whimsical, they were very solid and quite enjoyable. The yes’s: – nice location and views – quality food and services The no’s – A little noisy if you prefer somewhere quieter.

All in all a very enjoyable meal. Another great Sunday afternoon at Provence Marinaside Restaurant and there will definitely be many more to come.

Our craving for a savoury crepe was satisfied with the light and fluffy crepes filled with generous portions of salmon, baby scallops and shrimp.

Provence Marinaside is a rather spacious French restaurant located in Yaletown at Marinaside Crescent and Davie Street (about a block away from the Roundhouse Community Centre).

I had read about Provence on other foodie blogs and suspected I was in for a treat! I was not disappointed in the slightest and would absolutely recommend Provence Marinaside as a Vancouver brunch destination!

Super chic and delicious late-night dinner service with plenty of wine and bubbles for New Years Eve! The food was phenomenal. I definitely recommend the crab cakes and wild mushroom ravioli with prawns which was my favorite. I loved the atmosphere indoors, it was dim but well-lit enough to enjoy the food and take photos. There was also the live band singing for New Years when we were dining. You also can’t beat the view of the marina. It was just too bad that there were no fireworks this year to enjoy when the clock struck midnight. The wait staff was super friendly and helped to recommend us wines. However, some extra communication would have been nice because we were not notified about last calls from the kitchen. Dessert extended longer than dinner service but the special for the evening had already run out. We also had to double check on dessert because it took unusually long to arrive and it turns out they were waiting on fresh tarts to finish up which caused a delay. We believe it could have been the New Years countdown event that make have flustered up service a bit but would have been nice to not question it. Overall still very much enjoyed the restaurant and would definitely return again for the food.

Must go! We went for dinner AND brunch. It was THAT good 👍🏽 The food was so flavorful and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back. Best espresso martini! Had a great view of the water. There is also outdoor seating that looked comfortable. We chose to eat indoors because I get cold easily, although there were heat lamps outside as well. We will definitely be back!!

The food os amazing specially the seafood pasta and the halibut fish. The snails were pretty good and the combination of its juice with baguette was amazing. The muscles are super delicious and I love the fries. They have very fancy drinks as well. Apart from the food, the restaurant itself is pretty clean and in a great location with an amazing view. The staff are super nice and friendly and the environment is really good for a great dinner.

Beautiful restaurant with EXCELLENT food. We loved everything we ordered. The front of the restaurant opens for indoor and outdoor seating. There are really pretty heaters on the patio. The oysters were on the small side. The escargot is a big portion - get the baguette to sop up the fabulous buttery garlic oil that comes with it! We also had the calamari, olive tampenade, and fish trio. We'll definitely return the next time we're in town!

Had a lovely Easter Monday brunch with the family at Provence Marinaside. We ordered the wild mushroom ravioli, which was my favourite dish of the day due to the fragrant mushroom filling and the sauce. We also ordered the seafood crepes, crab cakes bennies, and the French toast baguettes (unfortunately, I found a short hair in the wild berry compote). Otherwise food was delicious. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive and made our dining experience a great one.

The service was impeccable. Our server Michael was so attentive to our needs. We had the crab cakes for appies, steak, lamb chops and lobster for main and dessert! They were all tasty and cooked well. Will definitely come back. service was impeccable.

I have visited the restaurant twice within a month already and the food, vibe, and services were great! For my first visit, I had the Dineout Vancouver dishes. Soup as an appetizer, ravioli with prawns as an entree, and a dessert. Foods came out pretty quick, which I was surprised but it was seasoned and cooked beautifully. I enjoyed the ravioli with prawns the most and it was one of my best dishes in restaurant. With creamy sauce and the perfectly cooked ravioli/prawns, it was melting in my mouth. The second time I visited the restaurant, one of chef recommended to try their lamb dish so I did. I have requested medium rare, and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My overall rating is 4-4.5. Definitely will visit again in the future.

Been quite a few years since we were here last. This spot is located on the same block as that oddly popular breakfast spot. But I think you'll find better food here. We tried the seafood crepes and chorizo scramble in late April. For course, I added a side of bacon and the bacon was really good. The scramble itself seemed a bit small in size but flavor was good. Also, service seemed to be a bit off when we visited as they initially forgot my toast. It's tough to find a good seafood crepe in Vancouver for whatever reason. The one served here was overflowing in seafood and was quite creamy. They serve it folded and I think I would prefer if it was wrapped but I understand that would be difficult with how much seafood was involved.
