Review Cactus Club Cafe Coal Harbour - Vancouver

Tario Sultan
Most popular restaurant with high quality comfort food. The staff is super friendly. The environment is nice and clean. Comes with lots of vegan, gluten-free options. If you’d like to get a table with water view definitely reserve it in advance as this is a popular, crowded location, during rush hours the line up could be big. Strongly recommend! Keep up the great service and food Cactus Club!

This is a great cactus club location. The staff was really friendly. The place was full and we were 30 minutes early from our reservation but they fixed us a good table and let us in before. Vegetarian friends, I highly recommend the tofu bowl, it’s simply delicious.

Great restaurant! Love to go there for my son’s birthday lunch every year! Good food, super ocean view, nice services …..& a nice surprise ( free chocolate dessert!) for my son. Very Enjoyable meal! Easy parking in convention centre.

Came for Dine out Vancouver which is served all day. Appreciate the choices available and was determined not to order my favorite, butternut squash ravioli..because incredible. Started with spicy chicken which was not too spicy, great flavors with the sweetness and chili. The wonton nicely crisp. Main was steak moist and seasoned well with great buttery mash salted perfectly. The hot apple tart is so rich with the ice cream and caramel a great finish to the meal.

Cactus Club Cafe is definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Canada. This was the first Cactus restaurant that I visit in Vancouver and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered my usual when in Cactus which is the Grilled Dijon Salmon and it was so tasty. For dessert I got the Five Layer Coconut Cake which I have never seen in other Cactus locations, it was really good and with the right amount of sweetness.

We arrived for lunch as walk in and had a 20-30 minute wait. Our table had a wonderful view of the Harbour. Tom was our server and if you are lucky to be seated in his section, you won't be disappointed. He is a very pleasant fellow with lots of information and great suggestions. He always had a smile and we loved our interactions with him. Food is great, we had the edamame beans, lettuce wraps and green salad. Great atmosphere, service and food!

Excellent service and the food was pretty solid. I was kinda hesitating because the menu was so large which makes me a bit apprehensive, but no regrets. I also ordered a Kyoto Fizz which was delicious and definitely something I'd recommend.

Came here for lunch during the great Vancouver arctic freeze of 2021. This seems like a very popular bar/restaurant and I was lucky to get a seat. I ordered the one-person holiday set with the butternut squash ravioli and prawn roll. The ravioli was divine: fresh prawns, and the butternut squash was sweet and delicate. The only letdown was the prawn roll. It tasted pretty pedestrian, like a fancy dynamite roll. Not to mention there wasn't soy sauce available so it felt like something was lacking.

I took my daughter and son for dinner tonite. Ordered Calamari appy. Really salty and just little tiny pieces of squid. Not good at all. Then waited a long time for our dinners to arrive. I ordered Modern bowl with a recommendation from server.<br/>When it finally arrived it was cold, chicken tasted like it was cooked yesterday, very dry and the rest of the meal was cold also quite disappointing, it didn’t have a good flavor to it. Tasted like veggies were old. <br/>My sons meal was also cold. Chicken strips and fries. : ( <br/>Nice view there but i will never go back there. Or possibly any cactus club. There are far better place to go for a nice meal.

Coal Harbour Cactus Club is by far my favorite location for this restaurant, even though I live far closer to the Burnaby or Coquitlam locations. It's ideal for when out of town guests come as we can combine sight seeing with dining. <br/><br/>The restaurant is well managed and the combination of location, the ambience, the food, the scenery, and the staff, all make for a great dining experience.

Ambience is awesome here. Just loved it. The drinks were good. The prices are worth. It was quite crowded on a Friday night, so we didn’t get a table. But we got a place soon in the bar and it was really good. Worth visiting!

Our friend recommended that we try Cactus Club, and I'm happy that we took him up on it. The Pesto Quesadillas were really good, and my friend's chicken rice bowl was "better than it had any right to be". Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant's atmosphere is very lively and fun, even on a Thursday. No matter when you want to visit Cactus Club, try to make reservations as soon as you can as it gets quite busy.

This was the firs time that I had gone to the Coal Harbor, Cactus Club location. I think that this location is the best as it looks over the Pacific Ocean which is absolutely beautiful. I do notice however, that their prices are slightly higher than other Cactus Club locations which bothered me a little. Personally, while these types of restaurants i.e. Earls, Milestones, Cactus Club, etc. are nice, service is friendly, quality is decent, I think they are entirely out of their mind for the portions they offer.

Speaking of Downtown Vancouver and Coal Harbour, this one location has one of the best locations amongst other downtown restaurants. Situated by the new Vancouver Convention Centre and Canada Place, it’s a perfect place to spend time with your family and friends.<br/><br/>The Fennie burger by far is our favourite and even our all time favourite go-to burger place whenever we crave for a burger. It’s flavourful and delightful to eat.<br/><br/>The ambience is excellent, and the service is attentive!<br/><br/>

Popped into this cool looking place yesterday for lunch. Didn’t have a reservation and also discovered it was Father’s Day - despite this I was seated within 5 minutes and outside as I requested and hoped for! <br/><br/>I ordered the Frose Sunset Soda aa Sunday’s are Fundays where heaps of drinks are on special so it came down to CA$4! <br/><br/>For food I ordered the chicken quesadilla with sea salt fries and it was all absolutely delicious and very fresh. My food was out within 20 mins and the service was great. If it wasn’t so far from my Airbnb I’d be back there again today! Highly recommend.

Great service, the best location at waterfront, nice ambiance with seating in the patio or inside. The type of crowd that eats here especially during the weekdays at lunch are business folks or tourists. The menu selection satisfies a huge variety of palates. <br/><br/>The price is reasonable and isn’t overpriced just because they are located downtown. This chain has been pretty consistent with service. They try to represent various ethnic dishes, but I have grown tired of their menu. <br/><br/>Key Takeaways:<br/>- for healthy light lunches, go for the lettuce wrap cuz you can always take your leftovers home and will still taste as crispy (but only after a few hours)

As they say "your body is a temple" A TEMPLE CERTAINLY DOESNT DESERVE AVERAGE RABBIT FOOD.<br/>and the Cactus Club gave this devotee just the perfect dish in their Kale and Grilled Chicken which was very well cooked maintaining the shine, moisture and taste of the ingredients backed up with its amazing ambiance and Energy..

"Great food even better service"<br/><br/>I recently had dinner at Cactus Club with some friends and had a fantastic time. I've been to Cactus Club before, however this time it was the most memorable experience, mainly due to our lovely server Jill. <br/><br/>My friends and I were seated and it seemed within moments we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. Jill's suggestions for cocktails and wine were spot on. I never seemed to need to ask for anything. Our second round of drinks arrived just as we were finishing our first round of drinks. Couldn’t have asked for better timing. There were never any empty glasses at our table. I love fish and her recommendation for the sablefish was right it is, "Rich and melts in your mouth. You're going to love it." And we did!<br/><br/>Thanks again for the great experience!

We frequent this location and others fairly often, and while the service is typically decent, the food is always great and the locations are great.  We were in for a quick lunch yesterday, Sunday the 26th of November around 3 pm and had probably one of the worst service experiences to date at Cactus.  Not sure of the servers name but based on the quality of attention paid we didn't really feel we even had one.  She took our drink order, and food order, and we didn't see her again once aside from coming over after fifteen minutes of receiving our food because we weren't eating as we needed some water and sides for our meals which I feel should have been noted in a quality check which didn't happen.   I wanted to pack up the third of meal I had left which for the prawn ravioli was a lot, especially for what you pay and I was never given the chance.  Another server asked if we needed another round after a while and we just got the bill.  We waited a bit longer for the server and she never appeared so we left our food and left.  I don't think we will be back to this location for a while.

This location is very very good , convenient and the view is awesome, I enjoyed the food, it was delicious and the drinks were extremely good, the staff were friendly, atmosphere was very good, I enjoyed it

One-liner: Very creative drink concept but very lackluster service<br/>Highlight: Frosé<br/>Price per person: $18-$40<br/>Would I go back? No.<br/><br/>Check out my blog post for the full review!

It is one of the great restaurants to go. Atmosphere is simply awesome and romantic. We went for a birthday party. Thumbs up for the service and food.

Only came to this Cactus Club for their location. I usually don't like eating at chain restaurants when I travel because I rather try something that is not available where I am from. But my BF has never been to Vancouver and I thought it would be nice to have dinner near the Harbour. We came on a Friday night so I expected a long wait. They told us about an hour but they were able to text us when a table was ready. I didn't mind so much cause we were able to chill and check out harbour while we waited. <br/><br/>We mostly came here for drinks with a friend. I ordered the Butternut squash ravioli which was amazing as always. And a couple of their new "frosé" drink which was also amazing. <br/><br/>Service wasn't great at all. We all thought the server was very fake... Then we learned shes studying to be an actor, so it all made sense. <br/><br/>Overall, our experience was fine. Your typical over priced chain restaurant experience. If it wasn't for the location we probably wouldn't of come here.
Eatmunchlove
One of the most beautiful cactus club locations in the whole chain. Drinks, happy hour, friends, gorgeous beach view, there's nothing better than that on a gorgeous sunny day.
Gakchat
Great view, if you can get a window table. Service was friendly and attentive despite the busy crowd. Menu was pretty good, some items being better than others. Chicken wing appetizers were uninspiring. Just skinny fried wings with salt/pepper. However their Feenie Burger was a hit. Layered with cheddar cheese, lettuce tomato, bacon, mushrooms, pickle, ketchup, red relish, mayo and mustard... it's gloriously big and drippy. My wife even shunned her Duck Confit for a few bites of my burger (shhh... it's also among their cheaper entrees). My only suggestion is that for the prices, the plates could have a little more on them.

Cactus Club Cafe in Coal Harbour near the Vancouver Convention Centre is their most beautiful location. It’s always packed and has a great view if you reserve a table near their window overlooking Coal Harbour. I came here for lunch with a few friends to food and of course dessert. All the Cactus Club Cafe locations across Canada from April 4 – 10, they will be donating $1 from every dessert sold to Make a Wish Foundation. They help support children living with life threatening conditions. The Sweet Dreams Dessert week will be helping 13 year old Morgan to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with her family.

Came in for dinner on a Sunday night. Ordered one of my favorites (Fugly beer - wheat ale with a Bellini iceberg) and the short rib main. The beer was great as always and the short ribs we delicious as well. The short rob itself was very tender and the sauce was a perfect sweet and savory compliment. The snap peas were very tasty and the mashed potato was classic (could have used a touch more salt). Service was attentive and friendly. All in all this location delivered on the classics enjoyable dinner experience at Cactus Club.

I had lunch today with my pal, Leanne, at the Cactus Club Cafe. It's next to the Olympic Cauldron from the 2010 Winter Games. The view was lovely.<br/><br/>Leanne ordered the Rocket Salad ... she's had it before. It looked fun and she said it was delicious.<br/><br/>I ordered the Blackened Creole Chicken, minus the asparagus, with the creole butter on the side. It too was delicious and I could get it again. It had a bit of a kick but wasn't too spicy. I got the creole butter on the side to control the calorie content and I'm glad I did as it was REALLY spicy ... I found the chicken was spicy (and tasty) enough without it<br/><br/>Micky was our server and she was great. Though she took excellent care of us, Leanne and I haven't seen each other in a while and she left us alone to catch up.

I've been to roughly 5 of these before in various cities and this is by far my favorite Cactus Club.<br/><br/>The food tastes fantastic and the service always friendly. The menu selection isn't too boring either!

In terms of chain restaurants my preferred choices are Cactus Club and The Keg. The food at Cactus Club is always delicious and the interior is beautiful!. I love sitting by the windows and soaking in the sun and view during lunch!. It gets really busy during the lunch rush and they don’t take reservations, so it’s always a good idea to come by a little earlier to ensure you get a spot!

Lovely late afternoon happy hour at The Cactus Club on the harbor! $5 Passion fruit or Peach Bellini's, and a wonderful view. The service was on par, and the drinks were perfectly frozen. No better way to end the day. Will definitely be back to try the ceviche!
Linda
Got to love a cactus club cafe. Known good service and quality for your money. We went for happy hour and had our favorite - Bellini at $5. Service was good and the views over the Harbour was beautiful .

came here for a dinner on a weekend night, and definitely it was packed, and didn't have a reservation, waited for around 30 minutes to get a table, and then was seated in the table, and so far as for the the food we ordered, fish burger, steak, ribs and i ordered chicken wings. So far as for the the food goes, it's pretty well made, everything was right in place in terms of the tenderness and flavour. definitely better than i have expected. definitely recommend the place, the ambiance maybe a little bit dark and set up is like sort of a hybrid of datenight and semi lounge.

I remember years ago I would always order the jd burger, it's delicious! I decided to finally try this location and wow the view is amazing. Restaurant size is huge and can seat alot of people. The patio, also heated is very nice for those late spring, summer, and fall nights.<br/><br/>Their little mini burgers are excellent for sharing. Some people don't want a full burger to themselves. Yam fries look and taste corporate, they kinda remind me of the moxies yam fries. Most likely it's ordered through gfs or Sisco. All in all, service is pretty much corporate standard. If it's location and view you want it's really nice. More of a drinks and socializing area. Food is alright...<br/>

The service its terrible, the hostess are always in BAD MOOD!!! When you want to book for reservation they always say WE ARE FULL!!! the day that I want to take the reservation, I went to the restaurant and there was just few tables not FULL as the Hostess said Before... The Food and the drinks are good... Its a shame this type of service in a good restaurant with excellent view.

January 29, 2016 · by ThatShanghaiGirl · Very late, but for my birthday dinner this year I decided to go to Cactus with my friends! . Definitely go to the Canada Place location for the beautiful view and....

Angie, Polly, Whitney and I had a pre-Christmas meet up early December. Whitney suggested Cactus Club Cafe at Canada Place from her colleague’s recommendation. Her colleague’s brother is a chef at that Cactus Club Cafe. It was the night where the Christmas tree at Jackpoole Plaza is lighted up for the season. There was choir performance at the plaza when we arrived.

If you have been following Iron Chef America for a long time you’ve probably heard of Rob Feenie, he was the first Canadian to win that show. In 2008 he joined the Cactus Club Cafe as Food Concept Architect so going there you can enjoy some food inspired by him. I visited the Yaletown location for lunch and Coal Harbour location for diner. They also have several other location that you can find on their website.

Located in a very scenic location. Great spot, I had the tuna stack and the Creole Steak and prawn, it was excellent but if you don't like spicy choose another cut of meat. I like it so really enjoy the steak. Also a good wine selection.

Went here for a small bite and some drinks with my friend for their birthday. Our lovely and beautiful waitress Stephanie enthusiastically accommodated my request for some type of good birthday cake by not only bringing a delicious lava cake with icecream and a cute pink candle but also getting one of the staff to write happy birthday in japanese! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Thank you and happy Thanksgiving to Stephanie and the staff that helped out to make for a good night on our Thanksgiving holiday evening!

Greatttttttt food. And what a view. Must try. Am told their outlet on English beach is even more serene. We loved the place and would definitely try again when visiting next.

The first perfect west coast meal i ever ate in Vancity was at Kaktus Klub it was flawless + great!!!!!! I feel that i could write a trilogy of epic books about my visits to Kaktus Klub! I find i feel like a bright star when i order my weekly potatoe skins! Hope for the future is usually restored in my mind when i visit a place with bellinis! The first $30 meal i enjoyed from the CC kitchen was a feast! I will always prefer to remember the kind older lady that served me spicy food when i was at the North Van location! i recall that she was originally from Phoenix, Arizona! I loved that she helped me to not be shy about asking for more oak chairs at my table! Its really really nice that she questioned the book i was reading... i was into quantum physics that day and she suggested i read about cloning!!! Modern food and desert stories are a staple in all CCC locations usually! Watching the ocean seagulls by the waterfront CC is once again on my list today!!!!!!!!!!! The darker interior in some CCC's makes me feel very good since light is harsh at times!<br/>Periodically i literally go to war over my stance on deserts i feel oasis's with camels are amazing!!!!!<br/>I choose Cactus Club a lot ever since 2013..... ive been consistently avoiding evil restaurants like Wendys, Five Guys, & Little Japan! There is an empire of corporations controlling the carnivores in BC its a conspiracy! <br/>The Empress of Plants has come by a few times on a friday at CC she controls all of the Kaktus Klubs in this dimension! Most of you know rebelling against a bellini results in a court case or did i mean to say a cactus case? 😯 My ex gf had her first victory against the horrible commute from Kamloops when she got to the Vancity waterfront Cactus Club in only 7 hours! Galactic cataclysims will never stop my love of the female CC bartender near the CC by FCUK! Ive heard that Princess Kate has never been shy about ordering a royal bellini which includes billionaire vodka which is available at only one CC location in BC! Alliances are often started at CC i am aware that the pipeline deal with Cali was apparently finalized over nachos from CC!!!!!!! I never feel like a prisoner when i order too many appetizers the waitresses are always able to box stuff up or bag stuff up! Since 1997 ive refused to say where ive hidden my blueprints & plans for a CC on mars! The thought of no bellinis available is lethal to me it has never happened before though! I am aware that there are raccoon spies near some lokations they scope out the strawberry buckets daily! The patio where u sit on chairs with a table is a big space for dinner or lunch... breakfast is a no! Only my nu wife Sabine is capable of destroying an entire plate of the nu "scorpion" ribs its her career which aids this desire! The secret base where they make all CC potatoe skins is actually a bunker it's impossible to destroy it! Since my wife is a clever lass, she placed a jar in the livingroom for CC outings... all my spare change goes towards CC! Special missions in the military require nutrition i have brought Cactus Club recipes with me to my Carrier for "Carrier Club" celebrations! Where do we need another CC? I think most people arrive at Nanaimo needing some dessert support... wait i mean desert support! 🍰🍦Its not easy to find success without well educated staff! i am still inspired by the stories of the CC waitresses!!!<br/>I find that its best to sell spicy food if you want to stay on fire as far as business goes! Luck is not an issue with my CC meals i know that i never ever have to worry about the quality of Cactus Club meals! My wife often discovers that she has more of an appetite when she gets to see beautiful scenery! The message that i get from the decor in CC is that abstract is defiantly thought prevoking! Recovering from CC indulgence is not really required i never get any fatigue from the cuisine!!! The exotic nature of futuristic food is always key to my moral i am stoked to try once again........the Korean Style BBQ Lettuce Wraps! My all time favorite mexican meal at CC is the intense + savoury fajitas! I find knowledge of yam fries was hidden for eons until i found them at Kaktus Klub!!! 😮 I sometimes want to dine in private so i reserve a table with the name Alex Theodore Maxwell!!!!!! 💳 Its a win most nights to forget many things about my past... the best meals at CC are still on the horizon i can see many steaks being bought by me as i age! the fact is that the mini burgers are only for immortal people with huge appetites its not what it seems the beef equation is complex! Its obvious that the recipe for Cactus Calamari once belonged to a female soldier from Nevada! I know that if your out and about after a waterfront CC meal the local cruise ships here are within sight easily its a very luxurious area to dine! Its very clean everywhere in CC when you go to search for a booth it's part of why i enjoy an adult restaurant! specialty orders are well received by staff members i never let go of my hope for no mushrooms on certain entrees!<br/>If you are searching for a vegetarian meal i would go with the edamame!!!<br/>I find the directions to the washroom are clearly visible which helps out my friends with germaphobia! Without any attachment to your aspirations your work can suffer i think the staff at Cactus Club Cafe are dedicated to food and honor within the core of the food! I know a few people know I once helped a gf of mine to order food when she had to rest her voice after a concert! meeting nice people who can talk calmly about business is always possible at CC! Once the money for your meal has been received i am never rushed to the exit i find everyone is always patient with me like at Zawa!<br/>My fan status is 100% secure the direction of Cactus Clubs future is up which is a beautiful thing to me! I know it is not usually normal to eat $100 meals for one anymore but i find most of this planet accepts my cravings for CC!<br/>Since day one i voted that perfection + CCC are mainstays in Vancity! In the end i know i will always love vitamin D! ive realized that its really dry all year round in the Sahara and in Osoyoos..... i find that having a bellini will help you to succeed while you search for a casino mirage that looks like vegas lol jk! 💰🎲🌞<br/><br/><br/>Ps: I think that my bathroom expeiriance was 100% proper it was damn clean!! 💦<br/>Ps2: How do i learn to understand wanting more time alone with the sexy waitresses? 😉

Last time I was at the Coal Harbour Cactus Club was in December, and I remember not being impressed, but I also didn't have any Rob Feenie specials either. I vowed to only order "RF" marked menu items, so when I got dragged over there for brunch today, that's how I read the menu. Location is great except you probably don't want to linger outside too long during the day because the exhaust from the float planes does drift up.

I have not been to this chain before....and tend to avoid chains of restaurants generally - because they are production outfits with a singular aim...make as much money as possible.<br/>This place by the Olympic Torch has a lot going for it which made for a fabulous experience all round. We had lunch. The sun was out, sky blue, longboard lager on special, gentle zephyrs blowing off the harbour....I think they might have served up anything and I probably would not have noticed!! And of course the staff are, male or female, unquestionably beautiful. I happened to notice the General Manager interviewing a prospective employee...and yes, you could see that standards were being maintained.<br/>The food? Teriyaki Rice Bowl was surprisingly tasty, zesty and very enjoyable indeed. Calamari was good, although some of it was so small it was almost all batter. The rest of our crew had some nice stuff, but I was miles away admiring the view in all directions.
PSN
Great happy hour vibe, satisfying meal choices. Great at sunset ... Bacon/cheese burger was well worth a 2nd visit<br/>Fantastic view towards Stanley Park & Grouse mountain, depending where you sit<br/>
Zef
Good food and drinks, great service, best views. Since this is a Vancouver goto for most occasions it gets busy, but they've started taking limited reservations over the phone recently.
Nomnomnom
Nice view. Good drinks and food. Yam fries were under cooked. Burger was ok... Service was bad in the beginning.
Keerat
Great place to eat a meal with a view so enchanting overlooking the Harbour. Start off with the Schezwan chicken lettuce wraps..... excellent.... Give it a go. You can choose between a Double Braised Pineapple Hoisin Short Rib... so succulent with a mountain of mashed potatoes and some veggies or a Teriyaki Rice Bowl..... very sumptuous. True flavours. Service and ambience is excellent.

It is great. One of the best in vancouver.. We only spent 2 days in vancouver. We were lucky to have such a experience at cactus club cafe. The food was great. The service was excellent. We definitely will be back and strongly recommend to anyone.

One of the my favorite cactus club location is due to the view. looking across the water towards North Vancouver. The food is your standard Cactus menu, therefore unlikely to disappoint, but nothing spectacular. Price is obviously on the higher end. This is Cactus.

Great service !!!. The best location, good food. Special thanks for Louis, security guy, always a good job, perfect hospitality!!! We definitely will come back again and again.

Superlative. I went out to Cactus Club to celebrate my friend's birthday, resolute, diligent, and knowledgable staff. The food was luscious, savoury and appetizing. The interior was spic and span and very tidy. <br/>I highly recommend this place, I've been to a plenty of other Cactus Clubs and this was by far my favourite. I will be returning.
Gperk20
Food was Good but expensive, too loud for enjoying dinner. The food and service were good but I found it pretty expensive for casual dining. Though there are dinner items for under $20 (burgers are $14 to 16) most items are mid $20 to mid $30. <br/>The steady beat of the "background" music made it difficult to talk and enjoy dinner.
MariConnors
The food was nice. But we waited about 30 minutes for drinks. Wasn't impressed with the service. Some of the girls were rude.
Briannepatterson
Server asked us if we were leaving a tip. I would have given this a 5 star based on the food/service alone...that was until our server blatantly asked us if we would be leaving a tip. My friend and I dined at this restaurant this evening (July 24th, 2014) and we both paid via debit and credit card. We didn't leave tips using our cards as we planned on leaving a cash tip instead. This apparently didn't dawn on our server, Rebecca T., as she later came back and asked us, "Are you leaving a tip?" Never in my 20+ years at dining at restaurants have I EVER been asked that by a server. I have always loved Cactus Club restaurants, but this was enough of a turn-off to make me not want to go back to another one ever again.
Bev B
How do they do it?. Cactus Clubs are my "go to" restaurants... Menu is great, food is consistent no matter which location, and so is the service. This is my favourite location due to the view. It's worth the wait for a table overlooking Stanley Park and the Lion's Gate Bridge in the evening. Last time we shared the short ribs and filet. Yum! Move over "The Keg"... Cactus Club has you beat!
Leigh
Great food, super fast. Impressive service, great selection of local craft beer and wine. Rob Feenie's food is always good, but the service here blew me away. No need to settle for a stale cafe sandwich when in a hurry... this place gets you fantastic cooked to order food in 30-40 minutes.
Billr
Cactus Club never fails. But how can they expand more? Where will they find slender long hair good lookin secure women like this? Seriously.<br/>Very nice customer service! The staff is attentive and very beautiful as usual and good with the Menu! And lots of free gifts from the waitress so you can try different nice small plates out of menu!<br/>They are not only good at steak, appetizer and dessert but are really good as well fitting in those dresses that must drive women into jealous rage. which are really beyond my expectation! Lol
No Dessert Im Full
Its a Cactus Club. But not just any cactus club. The views here are amazing looking over coal harbour, Stanley park and the mountains. the tiered seating in the Dining room is absolutely beautiful. First off i cant believe I was drinking beers here for $4.50 each, that is almost mind blowing for a flagship cactus club location. The schezuan chicken lettuce wraps were amazing, love the hot sauce and the other mayo like sauce it comes with. The Kobe meatballs are not bad too. Best Cactus Club Ive been too hands down.
Dldkfk100
Spectacular view. I went to cactus club cafe with my friend because of his birthday<br/>The most impressive thing is awesome view. The place is located in Canada place. <br/>We can see the view of sea while eating.<br/>It makes our dinner more wonderful. And servers are nice to look at. So I was so happy just looking them. <br/>And menu also was so extensive and impressive. The portion is especially quite large. The price is a little bit expensive, But everything is so great. I think it is worth it. It is just a restaurant but it was a really nice experience.
Imkoonta
Really long waits so make sure you have at least an hour to spare.

Sat outside at Cactus Club. The tables and stools are high. There was a shard of glass on my seat which I didnt see, i got up onto the chair and cut my hand open! Big no no! Terrible service from the lady waitresses. As we were leaving we got a very dirty look from the waitresses for no reason. Not a nice way to end the evening.

WOW! (but not in a good way). great view, ok food, but the night was ruined. the bottom fell off of my glass (i didn't even hit it against anything) and the beverage spilled everywhere including my iPhone, designer purse, jacket, etc. took awhile for the server to bring a rag. the manager came later with some dry rags but that didn't help because the drink was very sticky. he mentioned that he's seen that happen before but the person was wearing white. couldn't help but think he was giving me a subliminal message that it could have been worse. it took a long time to clean up because it spilled everywhere. in the meantime, our meals got cold and they did not offer to heat it up for us. I had to ask them to nuke my potatoes for me. they brought me fresh potatoes but accidentally charged me for them. I had to let them know about that. they paid for the appetizer and my drink but I was shocked they didn't do more considering my friend's meal got cold too. it was my friend's birthday and they didn't even provide a free birthday dessert. i had to pay for it. we spent almost $80 there for a horrible experience. what ever happened to customer satisfaction to ensure repeat customers? obviously all this place cares about is getting your money. the only thing this place has going for it is the view. don't waste your time and money here. the view is free from outside of the restaurant.

Nice place, excellent quality food. I had the salmon rice bowl, you can choose white or brown rice, very good. <br/>Nice selection of draft beers.<br/>The food runners still don't know which table gets the food they are running, but that was more amusement than a bother. I wonder why that is.<br/> There are dozens of people working in the open kitchen and dozens more on the restaurant floor. Good, fast, free wifi too.<br/>I would go back again.

Excellent View. I have to say, I'm super glad I got to Cactus Club early yesterday (around 4:30pm) because the place was already packed with people starting off the weekend early. I guess location is everything, because being close to the financial district of Vancouver definitely helped. It seemed like everyone from the Downtown core was their winding down for the day (everyone was in suits). <br/><br/>Positives: Food, location, and that spectacular view. I love that this Cactus Club has a few items on the menu that are different from the other locations. Their Tuna cones were similar to Joey but really good. The Kobe Style Meatballs were so tender. No arguments that the food was hands down solid despite the location being so new. <br/><br/>Negatives: Service. -- don't get me wrong, they're really trying. But it was so apparent that people were new, and lost. The hostess area was great, nice and open with 4 people figuring out where to put people. But they were so swamped with trying to place people around the restaurant, that they couldn't even tell who go to the station first, and who was to be seated first. That was really disappointing. Then, it was even more disappointing to see the servers not knowing which table got what food (drinks were not so much a problem). I don't think there was one time where the servers actually knew to come to our table straight away with the food. <br/><br/>Of course, the big question - will I go back? Oh yeah! I love the location. The service, I hope, will get better in time. Now if the service doesn't get better, then I may have to reconsider.

Crazy long waits to sit in restaurant section. If you order half fries / half salad option, it looks like someone from the kitchen choked down on most of your fires before coming out! Oh and the amazing mushroom garden burger comes with a whole dumping of canned mushrooms - ugghhhh :( so disappointed!

Expensive for the quality, but the view was great. The food was mediocre at its best and some of the portions don’t justify the price.

I was pleasant surprised at the size of my rare-seared tuna, I was imagining a thin slice. It was a bit messy to eat since it was pretty big, and I was trying not to spill the tuna juice everywhere.
Tasty Vancouver
My wife and I along with two of our friends went to have lunch at the new Cactus Club Cafe @ Coal Harbour today. This restaurant is located in the Jack Poole Plaza across from the Olympic Cauldron and the Vancouver Convention Centre. Our menu, designed by our Executive Chef Rob Feenie, focuses on the freshest sustainable and local ingredients, including Ocean Wise sustainable seafood.  In addition to long-time Cactus Club favourites and current Rob Feenie signature dishes, Coal Harbour also introduces new and exclusive globally-inspired offerings. - from www.cactusclubcafe.com/location/coal-harbour There were no line-up and we were seated at the outdoor Patio immediately. I went into the restaurant to take a look as this was my first time there. The restaurant is HUGE. We ordered Ceviche, 2 orders of Tuna Sushi Cones, Spaghettini Kobe Style Meatballs, and Roasted Lamb Pops to share between four people. Ceviche Dish Steelhead Trout and prawns served with basil, cilantro, and mint on top

Based on the dishes we did order, the food at Cactus Club Cafe is rather mediocre. Some simple food isn't even made for the ingredient to be eaten in its best state. Casual entrees like sandwiches are burgers are about $15, but for a only so-so dish, its really expensive. None of us ordered anything from the 'Mains' portion of the menu, where each dish is almost $30. For example, sablefish is one of my favourite types of fish to eat because it's extremely oily and moist, even more so than halibut. However, if it is cooked like the tuna, it would be a completely waste of the fish. Hopefully that isn't the case with the expensive mains or the food here really needs some alterations. <br/>

I've eaten at 3 different CCC's around the city and they're all completely lovely as far as I'm concerned. This time I ordered a roasted butternut squash soup that came with seared scallops, apple curry foam, and basil oil. (I just realized this is what I ordered the first time I went to CCC, way back in October 2012.) I also had a salad of seasonal greens with almonds, feta and a lemon-thyme vinaigrette. All yummy!

Cactus Club’s own Matthew Stowe, who works as a Product Development Chef in the company’s Test Kitchen. The buzz in the room was palpable, and it was great seeing Matt watch along with the rest of us, and play the part of “ who’s it gonna be? ” right till the last moment. Then finally, the moment we’d all been waiting for. It was revealed… and the crowd went crazy! “
Constant Cravings
I found that there was way too much hoisin sauce which kept dripping all over the place and it didn’t actually help the fact that the duck/chicken was quite dry. The pecan fruit bread gave it some added sweetness but mostly all you could taste was the sauce so it just felt very one dimensional.

So I finally dropped in at The Cactus Club downtown -- you known, the one at the 2010 Winter Olympics torch. It's quite a big place and with multiple exits that look like they could very well be entrances. Keep circling for the one with heat lamps warming a path to three to five hot hostesses ready to seat you (or turn you away because they are full). I was by at around 3.30pm -- not yet their 4pm happy hour -- and the place was already busy. The server looking up the reservation for my party said they were always busy. And reservations? Yes and no....

They have a few menu items that are exclusive to this location. We ordered the ceviche ($14), which is one of the exclusive items. It is made with steelhead salmon, prawns, red onions, Thai basil, mint, cilantro, and nuoc cham and is served with a side of chips. Ceviche is made with raw fish and it is mixed with citrus juices that “denature” the fish, which causes the fish to appear cooked. This appetizer was delicious and one of the best items I’ve ever had from Cactus Club. The fish was incredibly moist and full of flavour from the marinade. All of the fresh herbs and spi

On a glorious sunny Vancouver Sunday, twenty-three of us arrived at the Cactus Club Cafe Coal Harbour  for an family out-of-towners post-wedding lunch. Canada Place was humming with activity. There were a couple of cruise ships docked, the open-air market was crowded and everywhere, people were enjoying the beauty of the mountains and the water. T he 500 seat Cactus Club was packed but we had the private room booked for our group. Only four of us had previously been to this location and knew exactly where to come, so the group straggled in in stages. While we waited for our party to be complete, we chose some appetizers and some of us had wine or beer. My choice for summer sipping was a glass of the 2012 Mirabeau Côtes de Provence, a crisp dryish rosé. The appetizer selection included crispy yam fries  with garlic aioli and calamari. The calamari were perfectly prepared with a delicate batter, and served w

If you are planning on heading to the newest Cactus Club , give yourself some time to wait for a table. The restaurant is huge, according to their website, " Cactus Club Coal Harbour offers approximately 500 seats for guests, including 200 patio seats and 300 seats inside the restaurant, including private dining space. " But even with 500 seats, there is a still a bit of a wait. On a Friday afternoon, our wait was about 20 minutes.  But they do make the wait pleasant, inviting you to have a seat at the bar while they give you one of those vibrating "coasters" that will go off like a spaceship when your table is ready. I loved the lights hanging over the bar. If it was possible, I'd love to have this in my living room!  We decided to go for a few tried and true appetizers and ordered three in total. Our waitress thoughtfully staggered their arrival, so we didn't look like pigs and our food didn't get cold. the first one we got was the Chicken Lettuce Wraps . It's a stirfry of local chic
