I hosted a birthday brunch on Sunday in a private room and received great service and the food was very tasty! I would highly recommend Glowbal.
Amazing service, excellent selection. Views and examples on a large wooden board of various cuts of steak with server giving all the different information pre ordering. Had the lobster on the special grill. Fabulous!! Appetizers, veggies and dessert were delicious also. Servers fulfilled a special request for our children to enjoy a " dance party" in one of the private rooms in our view so we could enjoy an adult visit after dinner. Ambiance and beautiful dining space. Thank you so much! We will be back !! Incredible!!
What an amazing experience!! Fantastic food and an amazing dessert platter that made my daughter feel so special. Thanks to all the lovely staff at Glowbal ❤️
Great food...steak just melts in your mouth! Yonah was a great server (though a lot of his time was being taken up by a group of high maintenance ladies at the table next to us) Food was presented very well and great flavour!
Had a birthday girls weekend bash and we got a private room. Our waitress was very nice n the dine out menu was great. Very tasty. Loved the experience. Totally recommend it.
My partner and I were recently here for our 2 year anniversary, our waitress Hershey was amazing, she made the night extra special, glass of champagne and our dessert had a little message written on the plate in chocolate!
Hershey was really good at multitasking- bring the bill to one table , ringing up the debit, and then running to another table to give their bill.
Fantastic! The server was very nice and the food was great! One of the best choices!
David definitely exceeded the expectations for todays dining experience! His service was attentive and sincere! We will be coming back for the happy hours indefinitely <3 ! Thank you Glowbal for the superb meal and drinks!
The service was excellent. The potatoes were a little cold by the time we got them though, they were still good, but could have been better. Also, the crab omelette was on the bland side - it needed a sauce or some spices for more flavour. The seafood fettuccini was amazing.
They gave us great food, service and my friend’s memorable B-day!
For my friend's birthday, we visited here during the cocktail hour.
We ordered Tuna Poke, Avocado Toast, Prawn Cocktail, Meat balls, Beef slider Trio with Fries&Cotto Candy and shared these foods.
These weren't just snacks!
We can see really awesome plating of each dish.
Especially, I can't not forget the combining of the burger with cotton candy.
I've never seen this kind of plating and it tasted good as well.
Each happy hour item is big enough portion to share with each other.
Every food was so nice and ingredient was also fresh.
Particularly, I want to say about the nice meat ball.
It has rich gravy and taste is really soft.
Beside the food, the most impressive thing was their service.
That day was my friend's b-day. So I asked for server to keep our cake to their fridge until our meal is finished.
After finishing our meal, on my way to bring our cake I was so surprised.
The server had already prepared the cake and candle.
He also brought the rest of candles for us and refill our glasses with pop again.
It made us feel so happy and we really enjoyed our time enough.
I'm definitely going to return to Glowbal again!
Excellent service, value, and food quality. Highly recommend. Cocktail hour menu is especially good value. Fresh oysters. prawn cocktail, and crispy beef ribs are absolutely delicious!
We had fabulous time at Glowbal..Food was Super Delicious...From a buck shuck oysters during happy hour to the truffle spaghetti.Ive gone here for brunch couple of times
Great martini! Sofisticated place! A go to for lunch with my girl friends! Good food! Great ambience. Its central location only steps away from Granville skytrain station makes it so easy to meet at!
Another dine out vancouver adventure. everything was very tasty however everything was prepared before we even ordered it. so everything that should have been hot unfortunately wasn’t.
the corn chowder was the only disappointment. it seamed to be a can of creamed corn with some pork belly in it. the s’mores cheesecake was AMAZING.
Good ambience. Food is alright. Too pricey for the quality of food. Other chains like EARLS test kitchen, Cactus, Joeys downtown are better for food. Really large selection of drinks! Service is good.
We did the $79 Monday set dinner for two. It is a really great deal for the money - you get a glass of house wine, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert each. The wine, appetizer, and dessert were all delicious! No complaints there. The steak, however, was hugely disappointing. It was lacking in flavour, grey in colour, overcooked, and way too fatty. The knife that was given was dull and way too huge to properly cut the steak without ruining it.
My word all these 3 star reviews - has anyone TRIED their seafood pasta??? I dream about it all the time - normally I don't even like seafood but WOW that pasta is probably the best thing I've ever eaten
Although I have been to the Glowbal bar many times for drinks, I've only recently started having meals there. This is a compilation of my most recent lunch and dinner over the past few weeks. . I do love their bar, their bar stars as well as their amazing cocktails. Sigh, maybe I love them too much!
Me and friends decided to eat fancy. Glowbal Grill just opened last year and heard a lot of good reviews about it. I suggest to make reservation especially weekends. The place was pretty fancy and the service was above and beyond. They will accommodate all your needs. The ambiance was very classy. I would recommend this place for people who wants to have an intimate dinner.
My friend and i had brunch at Glowbal today. I love their environment its so calming. I just love this place. For brunch i ordered smoked salmon Benedict's and my friend had stuffed french toast. I loved my smoked salmon and the french toast was good but very heavy lool
The interior of the restaurant looks great. We were seated near the fireplace. I decided to order the salmon. The salmon came with crispy potatoes fried artichokes and a creamy jalapeño sauce. This was probably one of the best salmon dishes I've tasted from a restaurant. The fish was so tender and flavourful. My cousin had Casarecce, which is a pasta dish with bacon and mushrooms. Overall I felt like this dish was lacking a sauce, and some flavour. It did however come with 2-3 tablespoons of oil or fat (I'm guessing it was from the bacon) which was definitely unappetizing. Another cousin had ordered the beef short rib poutine, this dish was so salty making it inedible! We advised our server and she was happy to remove it from the bill. The service was very good. The menu is a bit pricey, and portions are kind of small too.
I love starting a weekend with a good brunch. I checked out Glowbal Grill in downtown Vancouver, the flagship restaurant for the Glowbal Restaurant Group. The restaurant is very stunning and visually appealing. There is lots of marble everywhere which is always so attractive. Glowbal is located in the Telus Garden building on West Georgia Street.
• its pricey $50/ person at least sharing an appy and dessert, separate entree, without drinks
• lively atmosphere, great for celebrating special occasions
• nice to see how chefs prepped the appies that are being ordered, they're quick and efficient
• service is good, efficient and they bring your order in a timely manner, some are friendly and some are don't
• I'm not sure if I am going to pay for a $25 pasta plate, it was just ok, not the best tasting one I had. Its very rich and didn't really like the meatballs taste - seems like it had a lot of fillers
• lamb was tender, good, huge serving (for me) it came with root veggies. Would be nice if this comes with mashed potatoes. Costs $28 average price.
• dessert not bad but not the best, I'd rather go to a dessert place. $12 for this choco cake plate with a macaron
• overall was just an ok experience
They have several different fruit syrups available to make different types of mimosas including peach, raspberry, pomegranate, and classic orange. Build Your Own Caesar . There is a special cart that the bar tender brings around to make customizable caesar drinks. You can create it by selecting your liquor, hot sauce, spice rim, and toppings ranging from bacon, lobster tails, stuffed olives, and pickled vegetables.
Food wise, definitely one of my favourite Glowbal Group Restaurants. I've been here a few times since the opening, and my favourite dishes so far are:
- Scallop & Tiger Prawn Tagliatelle ($28) : Generous serving of seafood, good meat to noodle ratio. The sauce is present in every single bite but not overbearing.
- Mussels ($18) : A pretty good deal considering how many mussels are in the bucket! Sauce is really good and the fries are a good mix of crunchy with soft insides. The fries are actually flavoured and not simply salted.
- Beef Tongue, Robata Grill ($9) : It was my first time trying beef tongue, but surprisingly delicious. The meat is really soft and had a bit of a fatty texture. Super tender & flavourful.
- Chocolate Mud Pie ($10) : SO GOOD. It may be overbearingly sweet and chocolate-y for those who do not have a massive sweet tooth like myself. I personally found the mix of hazelnut & chocolate mousse textures to be an awesome combination.
Another dish that isn't on the menu but is available is their Custom Charcuterie / Cheese & Meat platter. The total comes to $30 from what I remember. It is AWESOME. The best meat and cheese platter I've had to date in Vancouver. It comes with a generous mix of curated meats [3-4], terrine, cheeses [3-4], pears, pickles, dates, roasted peanuts and delicious unlimited toasted bread. Easily can feed 2-3 people as an appetizer (or meal for those tiny eaters!).
They recently shrunk their happy hour menu (which I'm not too happy about). The current selection composes of weak salads and items from their robata grill. I'd say order food of the regular menu if you're wanting something tasty.
The ambiance is always nice - the place is generally busy, awesome decor, clean bathrooms. The only downside is that service can be a bit slow. It took us nearly half an hour to get a waiter's attention on a glass refill.
Went back to Glowbal this weekend for Happy Hour with a couple of friends. I was surprised to see that the appies were no longer 50% off and not all the appies were available at the discounted price. Only a small selection of their appies was offered at approx. 30% off. Also, they had taken away some of the appie items of the main menu that we had been able to order the last time we were in. We ordered some of the appies on the cocktail menu, some appies from the main menu and a dinner entree and 3 desserts. The food was still as good as I remembered.
Glowbal under the TELUS Garden has happy hour from 2:30pm to 5:30pm everyday. The entire cocktail menu is 50% off and they have a few $5 cocktail, wine, highballs and beer specials. I love a good happy hour, so my coworkers and I dashed out the door to make it before last call. The space is stunning and you can sit outside on the patio or inside the dining room. We made sure we got reservations before coming since it would be busy.

Short Rib Poutine has maple gravy, truffle aioli, and cheese curds. This item is filling and its a good item to eat and snack on.
Mussels are super delicious. It has fennel cream, smoked bacon, and served with kennebec fries on the side. The mussels were juicy and plump
Crispy Calamari come in a cute little bamboo container. The calamari was ok, but we found that the batter would fall off easily and could have used a pinch of extra salt. It felt a bit bland.
I give this place a 3.5-4 based on last nights dinner. The decor and look of the place is amazing. Definitely a nice place to come for a special occasion.
Last night, it took a little over an hour for food to arrive. 3 of us ordered the sablefish but were asked to choose something else because the fish didn't look right and the chef didn't want to put it out. Which I appreciate and thought was nice - good on the chef to do quality control and make sure they only put out food to his/her standard.
The only thing is when the food finally arrived 3 of us ordered Ahi Tuna and one of the dishes looked good, kinda like how ahi tuna should but then two of the other ahi tuna entrees looked different and kinda over cooked. They almost looked like pork and the Color of the ahi didn't look like any ahi I'd seen before.
They redid it and then it looked more raw in the centre the second time around but to me the Color looked kinda off. Anyways, it tasted good though.
The desserts: chocolate mud pie and bread pudding were really yummy.
I will say that Adele was having a concert last night so the restaurant could have been understaffed? And maybe that's why the food took long and it took a bit to get drinks and stuff.
But our server was super sweet, nice and did a great job - especially with the number of tables she had. And other staff that we talked to were really nice and helpful.
Will give it another try on a day that's less busy :)
Glowbal Grill at the Telus Garden is one of my favourite restaurants to go to. The decor is gorgeous and the food is delicious. What I ate: Dozen Oysters (x2) chef’s selection served with red wine shallot & chive mignonette. What I ate: Lamb Shank with guajillo chili broth, smashed root vegetables

We had 2 dozen oysters and they were fresh, so no complaints there.
We also ordered the lamb. It was good, but lukewarm at best. I mentioned it to the server and they did bring it back to the kitchen to heat it up, but it wasn't much hotter the second time around
At first, I didn't hear great reviews about Glowbal so I was a little skeptical to try it. But thought I'd see for myself.
My first visit was for their Happy Hour. We had oysters, fries and beef Tataki. We (my friends and I) all enjoyed it! We even got another dozen of their oysters.
My second visit: I had bought a deal on their website for a 4-course Sunday night dinner for 2 for $75. And it also came with two glasses of Mission Hill wine. What a steal!
The meal overall was delicious. There was a problem with my boyfriend's steak but they replaced it with another one. My favourite was the dessert, which were beignets... Taste of heaven in your mouth. My boyfriend isn't much of a dessert person but he ate his half entirely.
Overall good experience. Nice looking restaurant!
Such a beautiful restaurant!! Love the patio! Came here for Happy hour and I must say they've got the best happy hour menu in town!! so much selection and for 50% off its so worth it. the short rib pappardelle was delicious and the cioppino came with so much seafood. Will definitely come back soon
Went to Glowbal for lunch today and had a great experience all around. Service was excellent, snapper special was beyond excellent, and enjoyed a few fresh oysters, too!
As many as you know, Glowbal recently reopened at the end of last year, which is now their largest location to date, the new flagship restaurant is located in downtown Vancouver’s TELUS Garden. I was looking forward to the space having walked past it numerous times. And let me tell ya, the interior did not disappoint. It is absolutely gorgeous.
Glowbal Grill used to be in Yaletown but now they have relocated to the new Telus Gardens building on Georgia and Seymour. I’ve never been to their old location but the new one is really fancy looking! Like somewhere you would go to impress someone. All the waitresses are wearing similar uniforms and in the dim lighting, they all looked the same!
Nice fancy restaurant, as you expect with the glowbal group. Food and drinks are good but servers and bartenders are even better... looking! Pricier side as you can expect from glowbal group but definitely worth a try. Go tr their delicious tasting pallet. The pork cheeks are still my fav 🙆
May 14/16
More booz and oysters to share.. FYI I'm not an alcoholic. This place is just across from my office lol
Being a big fan of the previous location in Yaletown, I was more than excited to check this place out. While the hostess was a bit rude, our waitress was very polite and introduced us to the happy hour menu! It was a bit squishy seating wise, and we were told before we were seated our table would be needed in an hour. However we stayed longer and no one said anything, as expected, since there was MORE than enough empty tables for a Saturday at lunch. While their main menu is a tad pricey, their happy hour is half off all their late night items! It was a steal! I ordered the ahi tuna tartare, and the watermelon chopped salad. Both were delicious! I was especially pleasantly surprised by the salad- so refreshing! It was a lot fancier inside than I thought it would be. Overall, it was a great experience.
Dined at the new Glowbal Grill at Telus Garden and have to say it’s an improvement from their Yaletown days. The service was great and it’s interior and patio have been beautifully re-designed. They have a $20 1881 Old Fashioned with Eagle Rare bourbon and a Gentlemen’s Club Remy XO with smoked tobacco that they make table side. I had the Bison Short ribs that was melt-off-the-bone and full of flavour. Here’s what the rest of my group ordered from L-R:
After the closure of the original Glowbal Grill Steaks & Satay, Glowbal has now been reborn at the new TELUS Garden building in downtown Vancouver. As Glowbal Restaurant Group’s namesake, the new 17,000 square foot flagship restaurant is without a doubt, bigger, bolder, and better than ever.
