OVERALL: It's a local favorite - great wine selection and we had only stunning dishes. Highly recommended for any occasion (it's a little pricey and reservations are recommended)
DETAILED: The reception did not feel welcoming and was almost a little arrogant. However, beyond that first 5 minutes, we had excellent service - knowledgeable waiters and wine connoisseurs. Starter and Mains were equally great. We did not try the seafood tower since we prefer many dishes in a sequence - but our high expectations were met.
DRINKS: Great selection of international and domestic wines. Cocktails were amazing too (espresso martini was just perfect with our dessert).

Blue Water Cafe is amazing! Service is fast and attentive. Prior to coming here I never enjoyed seafood, but we decided to get the shellfish plateau and it was perfect for those who need an introduction to seafood on ice. They have a delicious house made ketchup that you must try! All the other food we got was also great. Looking forward to try more oysters and waygu here next time.

Outstanding food and service. I’m impressed! The waitress had great knowledge of the menu and explained everything thoroughly. Food came quickly, tasted fresh and delicious. Looks like the seafood tower is very popular so I will definitely try it next time

Went here a few years back for our wedding anniversary. Overall the atmosphere was nice (we sat outside), the food was delicious and well presented but I wouldn’t say it was the best seafood restaurant we’ve been to for that price range.
Having said that, we would definitely come back to try something else on the menu.
I would still recommend this spot for a nice dinner out.

Our waiter, Frankie was so wonderful. He came over when we needed him, yet didn’t bother us. He knew the timing of when do to everything and knew the menu so well. He recommended the most amazing dishes. We weren’t rushed at all, and the atmosphere was delightful. Very grateful for such a wonderful experience, will definitely be coming back here!

We went back to Blue Water Cafe + Raw Bar tonight and it was a good as I remembered it to be. This is one of my all-time favourite restaurants because the food is spectacular, the atmosphere is vibrant, and the service and attention to detail is impeccable. It’s just a very comfortable place to have an amazing dinner ❤️

This is the place to go if you want a good consistent meal. Or you have friends in town visiting and you want to impress them.
One of the few spots in town that can handle 2 large private parties, a full dining room, and still not force you to get a set menu with a party of 8 and more. There is a reason why Blue water does so well! Compliments to the amazing team.

Really tasty fresh oysters! The mixed seafood ceviche was a letdown though. I felt like for the price it was charging it could’ve been a lot better. Our bar tender was great with the drink recommendation. Would probably return to try other items.

We had a great dinner at the bar with sable fish to die for and great sushi roll. We were celebrating our engagement and the BW staff were a fantastic part of that. Their suggestions for cocktails, wine and bubbly were spot on. Great food and drink. Great ambience. Great service and staff!

In my opinion the best restaurant in Vancouver and I've been in over 20 different restaurants of different level in the last couple years. Came here over 5 times and was completely blown away! One of the reasons my wife and I got married here. They provide incredible experience by paying attention to ALL the things that are important in the dining experience: food, service, atmosphere and take them to the next level of quality. There are so many little things that they do and do them very well that other places don't. For me that's what sets them apart. Ben, Stephan and ALL the staff are always great.

A fantastic meal and great service. We started with the seafood tasting for two. Our principal plates were Sablefish, which was the best I have ever tasted, and my wife had the Beef Tenderloin. We accompanied with Oceanwise Selva prawns in garlic butter. Paired with a glass of Laughkng Stock, this was one of the best meals I have ever had in Vancouver.

This is a fantastic restaurant, mostly seafood and steak. We sat at the Sushi bar and watched 3 gifted and professional itameas. The work area was continually cleaned and immaculately maintained. The service was excellent and our server knew how to complement our selections and was knowledgeable of the menu and wine selection. The quality of the fish was outstanding.

I have never experienced such great service as I did tonight at the Blue Water Cafe. I’m over 7 months pregnant and was given special treatment which was so refreshing to me! Our drinks were never left empty, napkins always kept tidy... I can’t say enough good things I almost felt like family!! To top it off the food was amazing!!!!

The restaurant was busy; but ran like a well oiled machine; thanks to restaurant Director Stephan, who works as hard as his staff to create a Dining Experience.

Very busy so took two seats at the bar where Adam looked after us so well. Astounding wine list, great halibut of the day entre, only dissapointment was the Oysters came after the entree . great Atmosphere and staff.
