From the outside, the place looked tiny but, once you go inside this place has a decent size. The waitress really did a good job in serving their guess. The food taste so amazing and I would say close to authentic Korean cuisine. The Japchae was tasty, the sweet and sour chicken also tasty, Samgyeopsal also really good and it comes with condiments. Unfortunately, they don’t have Gochujang as a side or extra condiments. That would be awesome as an add on for your BBQ.
Great and authentic taste. Tasty side dishes, juicy fried chicken, crunchy fried prawns, large portions of soup and bibimbap. However, add-on is not allowed in the soup.
The only thing that disappointed me was the service, there was nobody offer me a cup of water until I asked.
Was pleasantly surprised by this Korean restaurant. The food tasted really good, the ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. The fried dumplings were an especially tasty appetizer. The service was fast and staff were really friendly. Great location right on the Downtown waterfront.
The bossam and pork belly in spicy sauce were good. The squid was way too hard. The other dishes were ordinary. Not the type of restaurants we will remember.
the food was really good! no complaints whatsoever. service was a little weird— there was a girl server who was really nice and helped us, but the guy server who took our orders treated us a little weirdly. other than that, i really enjoyed our meal here!
This is a great Korean restaurant overlooking the Victoria harbour area. Food was great and friendly staff. Interior is nice and open. The area is somewhat touristy and the prices can be reflective of that.
Galbi jim was really good. The meat was very tender and soup was great. We also had bibimbap, cream prawn and samgyebsal gui and they were very delicious too. Definitely visit this restaurant again.
Fantastic place! First time trying hotpot on the island. Naru didn’t disappoint! Food was delicious, and the servers ensured that everything tasted good, and our food was always at good temperature. Will be visiting again.
I went to Victoria alone on Christmas weekend.
My mother used to make kimchi jjim at Christmas. I ordered the food because I missed it in my mom. It was amazing!
I thought my mom made this😂
especially kimchi was perfect!
The kimchi of the side dish was fresh, and the kimchi of the soup was aged .
it means, this restaurant chef make a REAL Korean food!
The restaurant was incredibly beautiful, and the staff were very polite.
If I go to Victoria again, I will go here again!
Had the seafood pancake, dolsot bibimbap, fried prawns in sweet spicy sauce, and beef ribs soup. Our family of five really enjoyed it all. I had the sampler. $12 you can choose three flavors. You know what flavour you are drinking as it is over the image. Imaginative and yummy.
NARU is one of my favorite restaurants in Victoria. All the food served here is very good, but my favorite dishes are Bibimbap and Samgyeopsal. Because of the popularity of this restaurant, it is very crowded during dinner time, and you may have to wait 30 minutes to an hour for a table. So it is best to make a reservation the day before.
Nice Korean restaurant at south end of Yates Street; neat and clean setting; very good tasty foods and very friendly services are good; a must try when staying in downtown Victoria
The food tastes delicious, the service is great. Victoria has a great new Korean restaurant. Fantastic! Would definitely recommend.
I had the lunch bulgogi special. It was quite good although I have had slightly better bulgogi in Victoria. The soup that comes with the lunch special was excellent as is their kimchi. Service was very polite and attentive. At $11.90 the lunch combos are good value. I’ll be back to try what else they do.
If you’d like to experience authentic Korean cuisine in Victoria, I recommend you to visit Naru for a decent meal. I give 5/5 on a depth of a soup taste of Yuk-Gae-Jang, seafood soon-tofu, and bone hae-Kang-gook. They surprisingly recreated original taste of Korean food very well, and I can’t wait to try other menu Naru offers.
Reasonable offering of bossam, but not quite to my liking. I haven't found a place in town that cooks the pork until it is tender. The slices had hard tendon left in them. The traditional side dishes were not included in this meal, although they brought more pickled radish when asked.
Very impressed with the food here. Service was excellent and attentive. We will be back next time we visit Victoria.
Great food, amicable waiters, cosy window-side seats, spacious place. A great place for Korean food in Victoria downtown on the Wharf St.
