Review Sucrerie Du Terroir - Val-des-Monts

Large portions of food. The fluffy eggs served in a cast iron pan were amazing! We went for the dinner hour so pork tenderloin was added to the meal. Very yummy!! Started off with a small bowl of homemade pea soup. Then came beans, coleslaw, bacon rinds, buns, coffee or tea . The best part was that your meal was endless. All in all a wonderful experience. I believe that the price was $29 for adults. Forgot to mention the pancakes with maple syrup. Delicious!

This place has the potential to be wonderful The ambience was great. The service was great. Everybody seemed very nice. Unfortunately the coffee was bitter. There was no cream The soup was cold The pancakes were a bit cold and rubbery. The maple dessert was freezer burned. Overall it was not a bad experience, but with a little effort it could be superb.

Went last night for dinner and music. The atmosphere was cozy and lively, and the live music was so much fun. Really enjoyed our experience. The beets and pickles were a nice touch. The pancakes were yummy, especially with bottomless maple syrup. The soup was my favorite!

Everything was very exceptional - even the butter tasted special! The pork and sauce was very tasty and tender, the omelette was one of the best I have ever had and all the fixings were both very traditional and well proportioned for our group of 6. The coleslaw was so awesome I had to ask for a sample of their sauce to take home! Of course, sweetness all around too with copious amounts of true maple syrup, and then the meal ended with MORE maple syrup in both a creamy hand made mini tart and swirled on a stick. The staff were very attentive being both there when we needed something but not bothersome with constant table checks. We sat at a long table with another group and really enjoyed the atmosphere of meeting new people over a meal too. We attended for supper on a week night so there was no music, but honestly, with all the happy chatter and great ambience it was a perfectly pleasent evening just like that! Thank you very much to all the hard working staff for preparing so much home made food. It was worth every penny and we will definitely be back!

Been going for a few years. Good food. They added a really good pork roast this year. But the dessert tasted almost freezer burnt. Love the atmosphere, the washrooms need some repairs. Great bonfire outside with maple snow taffy, yum! I heard there was a slay ride earlier in the day but we were at a later seating.

Booked for late afternoon Easter Sunday. Super charming decor, well-paced meal. Family friendly, large portions. A tad bit unprepared for the wine we brought but we just asked for the wine glasses. The food more than made up for this slight. Server was friendly and courteous throughout. Even though it was busy he was attentive.

I was able to attend a breakfast and supper at this location. Both meals were great and the food never runs out! The breakfast was a calmer experience compared to the dancing and singing that follows the supper. If you are with a group of people who would like to have some fun, the supper is the way to go. The location is a bit far out but it is definitely worth the drive. It seems as though there were more bilingual people working in the evenings if you are worried you will not be able to get by, however, it is pretty straight forward:) Great experience overall!

We are sadly disappointed with the quantity and quality of food delivered for a 4 person order at $65, not including extras (6 sausages, small sliced pork loin, 2 cups of pea soup, 2 cups of beans, heap of fried pork grits, coleslaw, 4 tartlettes, syrup and taffee). We would have definitely appreciated more soup. This meal was pre-paid for and delivered a day late with no communication. We understood due to circumstances, however, our kids were very much anticipating the "authentic cabane dinner" all week and what we received was very disappointing. We wanted to support a local business and felt sympathetic for the loss of a short season of traditional food and family run business. We understand it is hard to replicate a signature cabane meal with a delivery order, however, there is an obvious lack of effort here in both quantity and quality- especially considering we placed the order a week ago. Unfortunately, when my husband called to politely inquire if we received the wrong size order he was rudely cut off and told we were the first to complain. This is not a professional customer service answer, rather an amateur deflection of culpability. We are trying to be understanding in these challenging times, however, we felt a bit taken advantage of.
