I have been to Mike's Fish and Chips many times. The service is efficient, friendly and courteous. The owner is never too busy to ask how i am doing. The food is consistently high quality and very tasty. I have had the hamburgers, grilled cheese, halibut and chips, and western omelet. ALL VERY GOOD!!! I highly recommend the grilled cheese. An honest business man, making and honest living on the Danforth! Restaurant is clean and sunny. Fast, professional service. I would recommend to family, friends, or anyone wanting a great meal and a good price, without hesitation. Thank you!!!

Ordered the halibut and BLT sandwich. The batter was a bit too oily, fried a bit longer than it should be... probably because I ordered almost at closing time. Otherwise the fish tasted ok. The sandwich was fine, though I would have liked a bit more sauce and bacon and a little less lettuce in it. Overall for a quick meal, not that bad a choice.
Excellent food! The Crispy Chicken Salsa Wrap I had this afternoon was amazing! While their vegi burger is very good, I believe the price is too high...I can get a slice of pizza, a dipping sauce and a 500 ml beverage at Pizza Nova for less than what a vegi burger alone costs here! Having said that, the cooks put their hearts and souls into their work so this is without a doubt an excellent restaurant...highly recommended!
BEST light batter.... I'm a big fan of fish & chips and often find that most places can't get the batter right. These guys know what they are doing!
Best fish and chips i ever had! Grew up around the corner from Mikes bur moved away from Toronto. I always come back to Mike though when am in town.
I was in the area and figured I get some fish and chips. I tried the halibut and chips. Together, it's a little pricey, but I didn't mind as the fish was pretty good and so were the chips. Overall, pretty good first experience at this restaurant.
It's a small restaurant with capacity for roughly 10, with each table seating 2, so probably not an ideal location for large groups, but from what I see, you should be able to grab a seat if you're a small group of people.
By far some of the best fish and chips we've had. Being from the Maritimes and all expectations are high to say the least. 😉
Amazing staff and service. The food is also top notch. I was greeted very warmly when I went in. Got the halibut fish and chips. Brought to my table, fresh and piping hot. The fish was very crispy, seasoned well, and cooked to perfection. The fries were also crispy and delicious. I was asked about my meal at the end and he seemed very pleased to hear good things. Overall a very positive experience and awesome food, will definitely go back.

A small and rustic eatery located in the Danforth lane just ahead of Kia showroom and nearby to the subway. The place is for the people who are looking for quick but heavy meal. Mike's place is one of the oldest ones around the corner. You could also validate via black and white pictures hanging up on the walls. If I remember it right, its been running since 1969. The food is great. I and my husband ordered Haddock Fish and fresh fries chips as well as Chicken Burger. Big portion and hearty meals! That's what I would call it. The service is great and pretty fast given the fact that it was only one person doing everything. The best part is everything is being served. And I found special love for the dips. Have your way when next time in Danforth!

His homemade burgers are old school burgers....hard to find these days.

Kids had halibut/chips half portions (which were more than generous!) that were “really yummy” and completely gobbled up. Crispy batter & perfectly cooked fish. I had a BLT which was fresh tasting and delicious in this boiling hot weather. Highly recommend this unassuming Danforth gem!
One of the best fish and chips in Toronto. Served in a round platter with a slice of lemon and delicious tar tar sauce, the fish is cooked to golden perfection, crispy yet light, not greasy with enough fish inside and you do not get all batter. Served with tasty fries. There are only 2 great tasting fish and chip shops in Toronto and this is one of them.
Right off the Danforth, Mike’s Fish & Chips is an East Danforth/York staple. Traditional Fish & Chip shop on the Danforth that my partner and I have been going to for years! They even offer burgers, but they’re just ok, but I don’t come here for the burgers. Quick & speedy service, always on time on pick ups. 10/10 would recommend
Great spot. Light batter style fish, double fried chips. Great greek salad (romaine style). Friendly staff. Awesome. Only wish they offered a vinegrette slaw as an option. Definitely coming back!
Fish and chips is really delicious. Price is fair! Fish is extremely fresh. It must be the best fish and chips I have had in Canada. :)

I like this place. The same man was there (I'm guessing it's Mike) and he's always nice and helpful. The place is clean and the food is good.
