The food is ofcourse very good compared to all the other korean restaurants I've been to but what really sets it apart is the kid-friendly service and atmosphere. Today I went to Chaban with my husband and 3.5 year old daughter. I was pleasantly surprised by the child-size cutleries, plate and glass the waitress gave for my daughter. This made a huge difference for my picky eating daughter. Also they had a corner filled with kids books with a bench which kept my daughter entertained even after she was done with her meal!
The very best place for a feel good, home cooked Korean meal. The warm mama style Korean soul food served up by none other than the famous Mrs. Kimchi paired with the true Korean hospitality of the owners to make you feel right at home, Chaban is bound to become one of the true gems of Toronto dining. Be one of the first to experience it. Get there before it's too late. #chaban
Excellent home-style Korean food with sincere and friendly service. The best Korean food in Etobicoke!
If you want to try real Korean homemade-styled meal, this is THE PLACE to go! My recommendation: Get there early! We got there around 5:30, and whole placed filled up around 6:30. People were lining up. Strongly recommend this place to everyone. Also the place is very clean and staffed with friendly people.
Outstanding home cooked Korean food at decent prices! Kam Cha tang is my favourite so far.
Bibimbap to die for. Great service by great people. They truly make you feel at home. I will definitely go back again (probably tonight). Highly recommended!
In one word "SPECTACULAR"! Delicious food and amazing service. Eat in or take out - you won't be disappointed!
Such a great restaurant! Small but friendly atmosphere, and the food? Fantastic! Their pork bone soup is so satisfying. Hot, full flavored, spicy, and just the perfect meal. I also like that they serve banchan at the being of the meal which are made in house.
Fabulous food and great service at a good price point! Many options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Especially enjoyed the mushroom bibimbap with purple rice!
Great Korean food in an unlikely area (and better than a few of the ones in North York I've had). Friendly service and authentic, tasty food at a good price.
Welcome to Chaban, a Korean restaurant in south Etobicoke. It's cheerful, casual, and crazy fresh. The bibimbap, which is a signature Korean dish that literally means "mixed rice", is delicious. The chili paste is served on the side. The meal starts with an assortment of complimentary banchan, which translates to "side dish". These small dishes of pickled vegetables are spicy and very tasty. My favourite banchan is the diced radish kimchi.
My new favorite Korean place to eat!
Fast friendly service and great tasty food.
Keep up the great work! Dumpling soup and spicy pork were yummy.
I must try other things next time:)
Came here on a Thursday night and it was packed for a place that just opened. The good and service was stellar and so glad a Korean place has opened up in my hood. I'll definitely be coming back.
Just checked it out for lunch. I was the only non-Asian in there so figured it would be authentic and it was! Would highly recommend, everything was fresh and fantastic, service was friendly and helpful, prices are reasonable
I'm so glad Chaban opened in my neighborhood! I no longer need to travel to Mississauga or even North York for a decent Korean food. Chaban is an authentic homestyle Korean cuisine reminiscent of mother's home cooking. I am Korean myself so I know a thing or two about Korean food~. Chaban is only about 3 weeks old and we are already a regular here! I have a 16 month old so I usually resort to non spicy soups and stew type dishes to share with him and he loves them. He especially likes the Ox-tail bone soup, short rib soup, and dumpling soup (they make the dumplings in-house from scratch). We also love their beef short ribs, bibimbap, and if you are a group of 2 or more, try their Korean-style casserole. It's table cooking share dish similar to hot pot. The small size is for 2 people but the portions are huge and very reasonably priced at $19.99. It's hands down the best and our favorite Korean restaurant! A must try!
