Best Persian Takeout Food In Toronto. Hands down the best tasting and best priced takeout Persian food in the city. I love my kebabs and this place serves up the best in town. Highly recommended. Everything is juicy and very delicious!!!!
LWith a recent trip, as I was waiting for my food, I was checking out their buffet trays where more food I knew nothing about was looking so delicious. I stopped at one tray as I thought I recognized it to be somewhat of an eggplant dish. When I asked how it was cooked, the person behind the counter just simply said that it’s eggplant with tomatoes. Now how can you go wrong with that? I asked for the name of the dish but I regret I don’t remember how it is called. I guess just saying eggplant with rice would do the job. LOL. It was a meal on its own but it was more spectacular to it together with the koobideh.
Authentic Iranian taste. Tried zereshak polo, chicken kebob rice and doogh. Zereshak polo was so amazing, it tasted same like any shop in Tehran served it. Chicken kebab was also delicious. Both the dishes were so fresh. Doogh completed the meal like nothing else. Tried non-carbonated mint doogh. It tastes so refreshing as always. Must go place to enjoy Iranian cousine.

Overall great experience! Been here twice and food was spectacular both times! Great quality and quantities both times! Well worth it! Highly recommend will definitely continue to return!!
Koobideh kebab 100 marks.
The best place about this place is that this is open till 4 in the morning.
Good food esply in the middle of the night.
Family own place that prides itself on loyalty. Consistently good Persian BBQ. Chicken is a bit dry, but always open to friendly faces.
Small place but we've been coming here for over a decade and the food has been consistently amazing. Our go-to is the koobideh. Recently brought our family visiting from UK here for take out and they all loved it despite us taking the food home. Travelled well.
Oct2022: For me, this place is within walking distance and they are open late, until 3-4am in the morning. Have visited several times but not in awhile.
Anyways, I picked up their Koobideh Kebab combo for takeout and thought it was excellent: the kebabs were well cooked and seasoned and the rice was excellent too, lightly seasoned, and surprisingly tasty. Whereas in many places, the rice is not seasoned at all and kind of bland. Pretty good takeout for 3am.
Saw the recent reviews, and on this visit, did not see any issues with customer service, quality of the food or sanitation. Based on my experience, would be glad to return again to try other menu items. I'm fond of Persian stew dishes and look forward to trying them soon.
Hygiene? Questionable. A.C. ? Nope. The seating area? Eh. Food? Freaking amazing, especially for the price you are paying. I cannot stop raving about it! The food was surprisingly fresh and absolutely amazing. I loved the taste and idk if it was authentic, but my mom said it reminded her of Iran. I’m definitely going to visit again and I suggest who ever is reading this review does the same.
Just ate here. The beef is mid but the chicken is really juicy and delicious. I usually have a problem with persian cuisine cooking their chicken to dryness but here it was great. Its a small place and they do get a lot of orders online so there was a 20 minute wait for our food but it was delicious and the portion is huge for the price with plenty of rice
You guys saved me after a brutal experience with Hero burger and nothing else open at this time (2am as I type this) . Tender meat, nice rice and juicy tomato. Simple but done well and healthy. Good for bodybuilders who just want some protein and carbs at convenient times and good price.
If you're someone who enjoys dining out frequently, I highly recommend giving Altona Kebab Restaurant a try. Tucked away in a bustling corner, this place is a true hidden gem for kebab lovers, offering a delightful combination of mouthwatering flavors and wallet-friendly prices.
We are so lucky to have Altona Kabob in our neighbourhood!
The food is super fresh made-to-order, very tasty and H-U-G-E!!!
DEFINITELY bang for your $$$
Amazing food, just like the authentic homemade style ! You won’t get this amazing quality of cooking and ingredients anywhere without a much higher price tag. We ordered 4 different meals and paid $65 for everything. There is no table service but you can sit at tables and eat your food right away. They deserve so much praise !
High quality kebabs at a very reasonable price. I love the charcoal flavor. The quantity is amazing. The rice flavor is very good.
Add the sumac on the side and it just kicks it into fifth gear. To take it up a notch, they have an amazing Tzatiki and Hot sauce. You have to ask for it though. I didn’t like the fact that they charge for it too. $1.25 each!
The Koobideh (ground beef skewer) and Vaziri (Chicken Leg) were my favorites. The chicken cutlet was also really good.
Overall one of the top kebab places. Very unassuming.
Don’t forget to grab dessert and pastry at the supermarket next door.
We went as a group and tested most of the present list and they were absolutely delicious... The prices were completely reasonable, and they were treated with respect.
I hope you are consistently successful.
