Hot Pot heaven. I have been lots of hot pot AYCE. This is the greatest in terms of value, selection and taste. I will come back during the winter. Highly recommended
Food was good, lots of variety. Service was messy, their fingers were in raw food trays and they weren't careful about handling the raw meat. A piece of meat was hanging out of the side of the tray so far that when he put it down half of it was on the table! Kinda scared to go back, but it was good, and all you can eat.
I went here twice, and I love this place! There is an endless number of things to choose from at dinner (hot pot). At lunch, there is an amazing price to portion size ratio. it's just so cheap! And to top it all off, you can order a lunch from the korean BBQ next door if you want.
My favourite place for hot pot.. - Variety of condiments and sauces
- Fresh meat and clean veggies
- Assortment of food to choose from the menu
- Comes with fresh seafood
- You can order Hot dishes such as curry beef balls and fish balls and other hot dishes first while you wait for your soup base to boil...
- Also has choices of steamed rice for people who need to have their daily consumption of rice
- Have ice creams, sago and mango pudding to choose from for desserts
- Enough portion per order
- Reasonable pricing
- Nice, modern and clean decor
- Friendly staff and fast service
Con:
Only one stall in the bathroom.
No wonder why the soup was sooo incredibly spicy. There probably was about 25 of these dried chilli pepper bad boys in the soup. People think just because I am Korean, I can take the heat. I can't! I was born in Canada! I had one scoop of Szechwan Style Spicy cabbage, green onions and beef and that was it for me. My mouth immediately ignited in flames and I couldn't stop coughing until I had some of that Tamarind Juice. Those of you who really enjoy spicy foods, the Szechwan Style Spicy Soup is it for you. Those who woul
As the temperature drops, a hot bowl of something always sooth the soul. This evening I ventured to a hotpot restaurant, something I have not experienced in Toronto in nearly a decade. I'm definitely no expert in hotpot, however I do know what is good food; and I'll say Made in China just an average experience
Made in China is an all you can eat hotpot restaurant which simply means you cook your own food in a pot of hot soup. You get to pick what type and flavour of soup you want to cook your raw product in; and have an assortment of sauces to accompany your own cooked product.
For $25 per person, you have an unlimited assortment of thinly sliced meat (beef, pork, chicken, lamb), beef tripe, chicken wings, one tray of seafood (oysters, salmon, prawns, mussels), and an assortment of dumplings and vegetables. There were also an assortment of sauces you can mix together to your own taste, which includes a variety of chilis, peanut sauce, green onions, and soy sauce.
At first, it is quite an interesting concept, however after a little while, you realize that you walk out of the restaurant smelling like a bowl of soup. The cuts of meat aren't the highest quality of meat, and one can observe thick pieces of fat attached. I presume this adds flavour to the product, but also decreases the overhead costs to the restaurant. I can't complain about the flavour, as it is quite tasty; however after a while, one cannot tell the difference between the different types of meats since they are blanched in the same soup and dipped into the same sauce. Although the price is reasonable, I would prefer someone else to cook my food while dining out.
