Modern Wok offers about twice the number of food choices than most Chinese outlets in fast food courts. This week I tried their deep fried Calamari, which was reasonably tender, with a pleasant salt and pepper batter.
Modern Wok isn't in my local food court so periodically I forget about it. When it pops into my head though, I head right over to get re-delighted by the food. This is "real" Chinese food at its food court best. There's always a long line u so today I came at 11. I forgot it was cash only but luckily there's an ATM just around the corner. There's a lot of hand written signs with menu items posted in Chinese. I don't know what hidden delicacies there are on these menus so if a yummy looking tray comes directly from the kitchen I will point and choose. Friendly staff, good prices, excellent food. Today I'm having some sort of noodly thing with chicken, shrimp and shitake mushrooms, with mixed veg on the side. Topped with chillies in oil hot sauce, my fave.
