Yes fine this is a chain but it's a darn good one at that.
The food here is fantastic, the crowds here especially at lunchtime may ensure that you don't get a seat so you've got to time it perfectly.
The location is a great one and though the restaurant is spacious there's usually a line placing their orders so be a little patient.
The jerk chicken and barbecue chicken is amazing. The jerk chicken is a bit spicy but man is it great. It doesn't leave you with heartburn or anything but it's my favourite. The barbecue chicken is also really good and adds a nice balance. Opt for a large meal so you can get the rice as that is so good with your gravy. The coleslaw is pretty good as well
Ritz surpassed my expectations. I ordered the curry goat dinner (large) and it turns out if you order a large, you can choose two different meats. I decided to go half curry goat and half jerk chicken. The meal comes with rice and peas and coleslaw. I had tons of curry goat and jerk chicken in Jamaica (albeit on a resort) and Ritz did a great job of maintaining those delicious flavors. The meal came to 13 dollars but it was well worth it. The food tasted great, the staff was polite and informative and I will definitely be going back.
Good for a decent Caribbean fix when you're near the Eaton Centre. I've only had the ox-tail and jerk chicken and haven't been let down.
Portions are healthy, meats are well seasoned and food is tasty.
If you care about friendly smiling staff, this may not be the place for you though. They're busy and efficient here and tend to come off curt but I don't eat service so that doesn't bother me though. Just a heads up for those who may care about that aspect more than I do.
Delicious!!. This is the place to go for a bite to eat in an a hurry around the eaton's center. In comparison to other places around, the value it amazing. The roti is one of my go to places in Toronto. Food is consistently good, service is rather quick...when you see the line out the door...just keep in mind it is for a reason. Good eats!
I LOVE THIS JOINT. I get weekly cravings for BBQ chicken/rice n peas/slaw!!!!! All of my friends I have introduced to Ritz love it! The lunch special is a great value too. The jerk chicken is good but I'm often too lazy to eat it bc of the bones so I rarely order it. 9/10
Tastiest jerked-off chicken around!
Worth the detour for caribbean food lovers. Authentic Caribbean food at a low price.
Once we discovered this place, my boyfriend and I were coming here every day to sample their whole menu. Everything we tried was great. I WISH they would open a place like this in Montreal!
The only note I would make is that the other Yonge location is not as good as this one.
Really liked the food, one of downtown's best Carribean places.
Great food but not at a great price. As somebody from the Island, I can say everything here is 100% authentic.
They specialize in Caribbean food and has super cheap lunch special, only $4.99 for lunch? I say that's a steal!! To be honest, I am not too familar with Caribbean food since it's not very popular or easy to find in Vancouver. So I was super excited to see this place because I am always up for trying something new! Once I stepped in, I was surprised to see the place so spacious. There were lots of seatings and if they wanted to, they could have squeezed in few more tables in. I took my time checking out what they had behind the glass counter, and they had around 20 differ
