The food is fantastic, flavourful and filling. Make sure not to go to CRAZY on the buffet menu. The amount can pile on and on depending on how much you order. Your tummy might burst! Eat as much as you can handle. It costs three dollars extra to take the rest home. The service...is okay. Getting their attention can be quite troublesome. They seem to forget your requests or take long to return. But it doesn't take long for food to be served. I recommend bringing a lot of people so you can finish your plates. (if you want the buffet menu)

A great lunch spot, it's my go to take out for the price/value. The food is fresh and the pieces are substantial. The service is great, they are particularly fantastic with gluten free requests and have Tamari on hand.
We were looking for a place to eat and to watch some Pan Am action at Nathan Phillips square. One of us suggested this AYCE place for $19.99 during dinner time. I did not have huge expectations of this place, however the menu was quite extensive from rolls, sashimi, maki, grilled items, tempura, and torches sushi. After our first round of order, we were pleasantly surprised that they brought out eight crab legs (2 per person) was on the house. These were very tasty and certainly filled the hunger gap. Their spicy sushi was excellent and same with the service. I did find their soy sauce to be quite salty after a while and needed large gulps of water. Some of the rolls did break apart quite easily but they were still tasty. We ended up staying for another round and watched the mens/women 100m finals before having green tea/vanilla ice cream. Way to go De Grasse!
I came into the restaurant as I happened to be in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat. I ordered a bento box. The restauranteur was extremely hospitable. The starter maki and salad were delicious. I had shrimp and veggie tempura as well as eight pieces of assorted sushi. The tempura was a bit soggy but tasty. The sushi was fresh and portions quite big. The side noodles and rice were also surprisingly tasty. Overall, for the value and service I would recommend anyone to come here for a casual meal. Best of luck to the restaurant for the future.
Possibly the BEST Sushi I've EVER Had. I've had some great sushi in my life, but Kathy's place...
In SPITE of it's humble name and appearance, has got to be the BEST sushi I can remember!
I've had sushi at the Meguro Gajoen in Tokyo... And it's no contest. It's all in the details. From the subtle flavors of the Miso soup, a delightful mix of dark and light miso, to the quality of the green tea, but the best is the high quality, succulent, melt-in-your mouth-tender SUSHI! The FIRST time I went there I had a Bento Box dinner - Salmon Teriyaki. Absolutely superb! I simply HAD to go back!
I had a sushi dinner tonight and was simply BLOWN-AWAY at the quality. The quality of the meat was, as the Japanese would say, ICHIBAN! I'm going back tomorrow to get more for the train ride back!
...and the NEXT time I'm in Toronto... I'll be back for more.
OISHII KATTA!
Love This Place!. We were walking around this area and decided to stop in for some sushi at this place. The place itself was very small however, it was comfortable. It was a very cold evening and the place was quite warm inside. Kathy (the owner) greeted us and told us that we could sit anywhere that we would like. We chose a table and we were given menus by Kathy immediately. We chose the fried calamari to start; then as our main dish, we chose the sushi & teriyaki combination; which included complimentary miso soup and green salad. We were brought the fried calamari after about five minutes; it was quite tasty and there were quite a few pieces in the mixture. We then received our miso soup and green salad. The miso soup was nice and hot; very tasty as well! The green salad had a wonderful orange seed dressing on it, it tasted wonderful! After about ten minutes, our main meal arrived. The bento box was full of amazing items; there were three sushi rolls, sashimi (all types, including salmon and tuna), beef teriyaki with fried vegetables, two deep-fried dumplings, and a huge mound of rice. Everything was delicious and fresh! We were surprised at how much food we were given for only $43 which was low considering all of the food that we ate. Kathy was also very nice and considerate, always coming to check on us and being a very courteous owner. We would definitely come back to this place and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!
Amazing place. I've been here a few times now, and the food is great! Although they come to toake your order right away, after sitting down for a couple of minutes, the service is excellent.
In fact, all 3 times I was there I was given an extra piece of nigiri on the house.
I recommend the restaurant.
Good service, attentive waitresses, reasonable prices, quality food (best chicken teriyaki ive had in a bento box)... Would go back again.
A small sushi restaurant that can often be overlooked, but i have to say their food is pretty good. They are a combination of japanese and korean cuisine. My friend had bulgogi and it was delicious(though i wish they had given more cause i really liked taking some from my friend) and I had dynamite makis which were not bad at all. Service was okay even though it wasnt busy when i went. Pricing is not so bad either. If youre craving sushi nearby, this place is worth a visit or two.
Nice little sushi place. I've been to this restaurant a few times. The quality and presentation of the food is above average and the atmosphere is very charming and private. The music is always pleasant and the staff is very friendly and polite.
