Just as I was about to make an entry into the McDonald's right across this place, I saw it and read about it and then decided to give this a try. One Swiss mushroom burger and sweet potato fries with ranch sauce later, I was happy as a baby. Infact I put some of those crunchy fries inside the bun, and that added a nice kick to the already delicious burger. From me it's a big thumbs up.
Other than the slightly slow wait, I found this place to have excellent service and atmosphere! They don't play obnoxious or loud music, have friendly staff and the food is fantastic! It was also clean to boot!
I will be returning here in the future for sure, this is my third time and it's always delivered on good service and food!
I was in the mood for an ole time burger so I dropped in here last night. I ordered the 5oz patty with mushrooms and swiss cheese. I made it a combo which came with fries and a fountain drink (1 free refill). I added gravy as well. I topped my burger up with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and Retro sauce. A very tasty combination! The cheese and mushrooms were a big hit and the Retro sauce tied everything else together nicely. The fries were really good and the gravy was that perfect chip truck brown. Pleasant service. I'll be back for sure.
Love Retro Burger. They're Big 10 Double Bacon Cheeseburger is to DIE for! Cooked just right, great flavour and hearty to the core. Fries are fresh cut, not too greasy, just the way I like them. Gravy has an excellent flavour, right amount of salt in it and the service is very friendly, efficient. Since it has opened up on the Danforth it has become one of my greatest guilty pleasures. Plus, the boss is a nice guy, every time I show up and he's there we always have nice little chats. Along with all the other members of the team as well. With Retro Burger, the prices are a little steep, but the quality of the food is WAY better than what you get at McDonald's. If you're a real burger type of person, Retro Burger is definitely the place you have to check out :D
Amazing veggie burger. If you're looking for a tasty great textured veggie burger with good topping options. Fresh cut fries and great service round it out. I am so glad I found out about this place!
Retro Burger Rocks!. If you're craving for the best burger in the GTA - you need to check this place out!
The burger, the bun, the toppings are top notch - the place is imaculate, the quality is first class. It was tough to skip the burger and go for the souvlaki and salad...but that was just as fantastic too. And - if you're an 80's child like me - you'll love the music too! 10 out of 10 - 5 stars all the way!
Fries are great - double fried. Burgers are hearty and toppings are fresh.
Old fashioned meets new trends. Everything from their signature Philly Steak Sandwich to the best Burgers to Deep Fried Mars Bars & even a variety of Poutines. Throw in some delicious Greek food and this place becomes a regular hangout. Friendliest staff too!
Food and Service. I was there for lunch today and the food was amazing. I have tried their mushroom burder and philly cheese steak. I normally don't have problems with their service but looks like they have hired someone new and the the person that cooked my philly cheese steak has a little too much attitude Just my thoughts... .
Old school as expected. Fries were the classic fat ones with the right texture, slightly over salted. Philly cheese steak was awesome and the way it should be done with the option of extra toppings at the end. Staff were friendly and fast.. looking forward to working the menu a bit more.
I loved this burger! The patty had a delicious charbroiled flavour and basically all the toppings (Swiss, mushroom, bacon, mayo and most notably, pickles) just tasted the best that they could.
