Came here with my boyfriend twice,

The first time I went, I thought I could handle the spice but after eating what I thought was a green bean (which turned out to be a very thin green bean looking hot pepper) I was dying and couldn't get water fast enough. The kind waiter was so unbelievably helpful and very concerned, and Brought out a big bowl of yogurt on the house to help me.

The second time we went we had the same waiter by chance, and he again, was so kind, at one point even asking my boyfriend about an old cut on his arm and if he needed a first aid kit.

The service here is amazing, I didn't recognize the different names on the menu but a quick Google search helps with that and the food is absolutely delicious!

Would definitely recommend

Norling is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. I'm currently living elsewhere, and it's one of my first stops when I'm back in town. It's a favourite place to bring friends and family when I want to share something really wonderful with them. The food is like nothing I've had elsewhere -- spicy but balanced and complex. The gyuma and tsey khatsa are my two favourite dishes. Gyuma is a blood sausage served in a delicious mixture of spices, onion and hot peppers. Tsey khatsa is a dish of vegetable fritters, a bit like pakora, served in a fantastic spicy sauce. We always get an order of tingmo (steamed buns) to sop up the extra sauce. It's also great served with the chilly pork ordered dry (instead of saucy). The momos are a solid choice here, but I usually prioritize the above items. I can't speak to the Hakka menu, but the Tibetan items are some of the best food I've eaten anywhere.

The service is always great at Norling; they're friendly and take real pride in the food. The atmosphere is casual but nice. On top of everything, the prices are very reasonable. Dollar for dollar it's the best meal you'll get in Toronto.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and a sunny afternoon put me in the neighbourhood for lunch at this Tibetan & Hakka place.

The mango lassi , was simply delicious, velvety and not too sweet.
We ordered from their lunch specials menu:
*Thali (South Asian style combo meal) with mutton curry - the poori (bread) was puffed to perfection, light and airy. The dal was a little on the plain side, but delicious none the less. The mutton curry was delightful, full of rich flavours. The accompanying pickle and slaw were refreshing and went so well with the dishes.
($8.99)
*Phingsha Combo - came with a bowl of hot & sour soup, not too salty and loaded with vegetables. The fried momo was packed with beef and so tasty. The phingsha (beef stew with potatoes, mushrooms, and vermicelli) itself was good and quite filling.  Tingmo (steamed giant bun) was well cooked and tender. As well as great to dip in the stew. ($7.99)

The service was great and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time.
It was constantly busy while we were there. I will definitely be back to try some of the other items on their menu!

Courteous staff. I tried the vegetarian momo and it was delicious. I love how minced the filling was. I also tried the tibetan noodle soup and that was memorializing. The Tibetan-pulled wide noodles tasted like momo skin dough cooked in broth (so tasted like pasta). But the noodle soup was delicious nonetheless.

Another cool Tibetan place in Parkdale!
They serve the cuisine of their homeland by way of India (where they picked up some Indian/Chinese Hakka cooking). The place is nicer than most in the 'hood and feels cozy and welcoming.
The food is fresh-made (be prepared to wait, at least on weekends), spicy, tasty and affordably priced.
The soft steamed bun/roll called tingmo is superb and pairs well with their spicy curries. Bon apetit!

This was my first time eating Tibetan cuisine. They've got a fantastic lunch menu so many options for under $10!!! Momo (dumplings) are my new favorite eat!!! The Manchurian chicken was oh so delicious. Can't wait to try their other offerings another time soon!

I went with my wife and boy's. It was a very pleasant experience. The food was amazing the service was fine. The decor was dated, but we went to eat not look... I found this place using a search tool and the one review seemed sincere... So we went for it... No Regrets whatsoever.

What a great little spot we found in Little Tibet today. For those of you who are not familiar with this area, there is a population of Tibetans who have settled in the Parkdale area by Queen & Jameson. There are several Tibetan restos but this one in particular intrigued me because it's Tibetan and Hakka cuisine.
We had a warm welcome as soon as we walked in as Tibetans are known for their gentle hospitality. We asked for some recos from the proprietor and he brought out the following:
- Pan fried chicken momos (Tibetan version of dumplings)
- stir-fried cauliflower with spicy salt (hakka)
- dry chili chicken (hakka)
- the Norling House Fried Rice ( basically the Tibetan version of the Chinese Yeung Chow Fried Rice but with basmati rice instead of long grained rice)
All the dishes had a depth in flavour and spice. For those who don't appreciate spicy foods, take heed. There was an extreme sense of humility when the food was served and you can tell it was made with love.
I will definitely be back again to try the Tibetan Delicacies i.e. tripe dishes. Something that my dinner companion was not ready for this time around :)
