A great little spot to grab a quick bite! Manpuku is a simple, easy spot to grab a snack or smaller meal, with quick service and staple japanese eats. We got the clam takoyaki, udon, and hayakshi rice. The udon and takoyaki were good, however the rice was just okay. I am really happy with the value here, with our bill coming to only 24$. Overall, a big recommend for its category of cheap eats!

Go to spot back when I was in college because it’s close by, delicious, and affordable! Always recommend this place to everyone visiting Toronto🫶🏼so so good for the value!! The servers are also very nice and attentive, and the place is relatively clean despite being part of the Grange foodcourt.

This places is insanely cheap. I think you can get the cheapest Japanese food here in Toronto. When we went there, the places was packed with people. The food was served fresh and good. If you want a quick bite, this is the place for you.

I didn’t know you could get 3 takoyaki & either a salad or soup to add as a combo on to udon or donburi for only $2.50! Don’t make the same mistake as me and pay $4.99 for a regular order of takoyaki. I couldn’t even finish all my food so the combo would have been perfect!

Food tasted extremely authentic and was provided in large serving sizes considering the price. We ordered the manpuku ramen, beef yaki udon, onigiri and takoyaki for 2 people. It was more than enough and came to approx. $32 after tax and tip making it extremely affordable for the quality and variety.

From the atmosphere to the service to the food…everything was perfect. The Manpuku ramen was honestly the best I ever had , I ended up having 2 bowls (one beef one pork) THE BROTH was FANTASTIC and savoury in such a way that I couldn’t stop eating! The takoyaki was straight out of an anime!! It looked gorgeous and the taste had sooo much depth and flavour I couldn’t help smiling ear to ear. I’ll gladly come back again EVERYTIME I come back to Toronto.

A small Japanese restaurant hidden in a plaza with a good selection of food. The portion is pretty good for the price. I recommend students to go here! I ordered the Niku udon, the portion is bigger than I thought. Overall, yummy food and cozy place!

This is a cosy Japanese Noodle hideaway in a food court... Tiny place but delivers big <3 Good portions, Comfort food & reasonable price.. All in all.. A very happy tummy ;) Try whatever you want- everything is good. Be prepared for queuing up during peak hours Tried: 1. Takoyaki (an all time fav) 2. Manpuku Ramen 3. Niku udon (replaced the udon with thin yam noodles)

The kake udon tasted great and was a very light meal for around $4-5. The takoyaki was also good but didn't have the okonomiyaki sauce (not sure if it was on purpose). The service was great and really friendly. This restaurant is very cheap to go to and I will definitely be going back.

Great place to get affordable noodles and very nicely decorated. Although I was unable to eat in, they still brought quality service to bring the food outside to the customers eating in the food court. The noodles were pretty decent considering the price and would come again!

No parking at the plaza so you have to park on the street next to. The food is super value for a Toronto restaurant. They have quite a variety of food, each with a different taste. You would be able to find your favorite dish here as well, but not all will fit your taste bud. Overall, this is a must try place.

Found this place via Instagram, really interesting place, it’s kind of like Japanese style bistro/family restaurant, they provide traditional japanese homemade style dishes, nothing super fancy, but i think this is a good place to go if someone wants to have a taste of Japanese cuisine. I ordered their Hormone Yakisoba, Nikujyaga, Jumbo Inari and Takowasa, for a total of 25 (with tax and tips) I think it’s a really nice deal, the food itself just like I said, homemade style, not super fancy but I like it and will definitely pay this place more visits to try different dishes

I have been here years ago and I am so happy to see that the food is STILL affordable and delicious! My partner and I ate for $16 before tip. He had natto rice, which was surprisingly good. I was a bit skeptical trying some of the natto, but I honestly liked it. I’m unsure if it’s because I’m used to eating things with a “strong flavour profile,” or if natto isn’t as bad as it is portrayed. The beef curry udon was AMAZING! The curry was rich and I felt so cozy. The beef that came along with the curry udon was so tender that it melted in my mouth. The portion size was good for the price, and most of the appetizers were less than $5 if you were still hungry. Service was quick and our server was kind. It’s fairly busy at dinner so you might have to wait a bit, but it’s worth it! Thank you Manpuku for keeping your prices relatively the same all these years, and making delicious and affordable food!

TLDR: My favourite hidden gem in Toronto by FAR. I used to live in Montreal and took the megabus often - this would be my first stop after every trip back. 10/10 recommend. Extremely affordable ($5 for a bowl of udon, $5 for 6 takoyaki!) and quality, cozy comfort food. If you’re looking for a savoury meal that’s going to make you feel all warm inside, this is the place. Food: My usual order is the Kake Udon + takoyaki + jumbo inari. The Kake Udon’s broth is the main star - salty, umami, but still light and extremely flavourful. Love the noodles slightly chewy texture + the tempura bits they put on top for crunch. $5 for 6 crispy Takoyaki is literally unbeatable. I didn’t know about inari until I came here and now I order an extra to take home — it’s great as warmed up breakfast. Location: Tucked in the back of a food court. The inside is fairly small, very cozy and a little dark. Data/ calls can be a little slower inside I’ve found but not enough to be a biggie. Service: 10/10 All the workers are very sweet and attentive, despite being so busy.

Manpuku Modern Japanese Eatery Manpuku is a small Japanese restaurant located within the Village By The Grange mall. Here, you can find an assortment of foods such as udon noodles in soup, rice bowls, and other Japanese snacks like takoyaki, gyoza, mochi, and nato for really cheap. I got the niku udon with beef and a side of takoyaki. Within a few minutes of sitting down and ordering, my udon was served to me piping hot. The beef was succulent and tender. The noodles were chewy, but not standout. The soup was decent, but couod've been richer (it tasted right, but felt a little watery). The takoyaki came a bit later (I was told there would be a 20 min wait, I think it came in less than that time). Big and full of flavour, the takoyaki tasted great, however the texture seemed a bit doughier and chewier than I would've liked. Another side note: it was a little chilly in the room - but nice decor, especially for how small the shop was. Overall, pretty good run of the mill Japanese restaurant with really good affordable prices. Would recommend if you're looking for a delicious cheap meal.
