So very yummy and over the top friendly. Went above and beyond for my daughter 5th birthday. We will be back!
Great food making authentic coal grill kababs and other Middle East fare.
Always delicious!! Hot fresh pitas, perfect hummus and baba. And shwarma poutine rocked!
I was not physically and psychologically prepared for the MEAT ARTILLERY BARRAGE I ordered.
But hecking yes did I enjoy it.
I've been to almost every Paramount Location so far but this one is so special. I loved the atmosphere and the decoration. The food taste fantastic and fresh and the service was amazing.
I invited my clients here the other day and we were really impressed.
This is truly great representation of the Middle Eastern cuisine.
For a person who grew up in U.A.E for 13 years, Arabic food is the go food! We found it and went there for my parents anniversary, and the food was amazing but the service disappointing! They brought us the food after half an hour of waiting. We had kids with us and they began to get hungry and cranky. They were completely lost and didn’t know our order and when we were almost about to leave they asked us to wait another 15 minutes for our food. And because we had paid so much for 10 people, we decided to wait. But even though we had waited for so long, our perseverance paid of with delicious food.
The food is really good and delicious and they bring it for you to feast when it’s still warm. I would give it a 2 thumbs up for food, but 2 thumbs down for the service as well.
Amazing food! With a great Middle Eastern touch, definitely makes you feel nostalgic if you are from middle east.
The ambience of the place is beautiful with a waterfall backdrop and nice Arabic songs playing in the background.
I felt so good having Kawa after such a long time, it's complimentary, and they had infused it with cardamom ( wish there were some mint leaves too, would have been epic)
Do try out the hummus, the shawarmas.
The falafel was also authentic and good, but I personally felt something was lacking, didn't give that 'wow' kick.
Labneh and Zatar really stood out for me, really liked it, and would definitely recommend it!
The kunafa and baklava out here are mouth watering. Give it a shot!
One of the finer middle eastern establishments that we found in Toronto. Although the prices might seem a tad high, it is worth it especially if you go as a large group.
We went here to celebrate a birthday and ended up over-ordering as usual :-). But that only meant that we had room for plenty of leftovers.
We ordered the following:
1. Hummus with Beef : Quite a mouthful an can be turned into a meal by itself
2. Fattoush salad : The dressing was absolutely mesmerising, however the fried pieces of pita made it a difficult bite
3. Mixed Combo Platter : This was the cynosure of all our eyes, the purpose for which we had landed up at this restaurant. There was a selection of a wide array of meats - Chicken & Beef shawarma, beef kafta, chicken shish tawouk, BBQ beef skewers and felafel. This was accompanied by some really go pickles, a good garlic sauce as well as a hummus, fries and a portion of rice. Since we had already had the hummus with beef earlier, we did not dwell too much on this second hummus. The rice was also very plain and bland. However, each of the meats was superbly done and crispness of the felafel deserves special mention. The fries were also just about passable.
4. Chicken Pizza : We ordered a spicy chicken pizza for the kids but ended up eating it ourselves as they were more interested in the platter
It was a delightful meal and the total came up to 124 with tip and taxes.
We tried almost all of their meats. I think their meals and mixed grill plates are quite a good value. The meats were cooked well, not dry. Even the chicken skewer pleasantly surprised me. It was stll juicy! They use a real grill to cook their meats. I like the seasonings, not too salty, and I Love their house made garlic dip! It's very different from other garlic dips. For example they're not yogurt or mayo or cream based. Light, tart, very garlicky and the perfect accompaniment. I also like their house made giant fluffy and airy pita bread. The only thing I did Not like was their Saj bread and beef shwarma wrap. Service was good; they were very good about filling our water glasses. In fact the customer service at this location is better than others. Note that you basically go up to order and pay at the cashier like a food court. The waiters bring the meal to you.
I really do love Paramount FIne Foods so I was more than elated to discover that one was in the works near where I moved. If you aren't familiar with this place, then you obviously haven't been paying attention. Paramount offers up Middle Eastern cuisine that is pretty good and affordable in a much nicer setting than you would have thought. This location in particular doesn't disappoint in the decor as it is one of the nicer ones I've seen. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice a cascading wall and large lights everywhere.
When it comes to ordering, I always tend to get the Charcoal grilled Half Chicken as I love the spices and the char of the chicken. There are lots of options ranging from shawarmas, kebobs, and even pizzas. The entree dishes come with salad, rice or fries, and a giant fluffed up pita bread brought piping hot to the table. The grilled chicken is incredible because they char it up real nicely and the spices taste soaked into the meat and skin. The meat isn't the most tender, but definitely tastes great to the bone. The shawarmas here aren't bad, but I wouldn't come here for that.
This place just opened up and will take some work before the staff gets it right. There were a couple of screw ups at tables and customers were complaining, but they'll right the ship. Some of the staff aren't the smartest, but most were uber friendly and attentive (Kandice was the best!). With the food, prices, and ambiance, this is definitely a welcome addition to the area being that there isn't much around here to get too excited about.
I love the Middle Eastern Cuisine here!
Their pitas are amazing! They come to your table fresh and hot.
I really enjoy ordering their fattoush salad with shawarma. (The shawarma needs to be topped with hot sauce and tahini, of course!)
The salad dressing on the fattoush salad is a little too sweet for my liking but when it is mixed with the shawarma the flavours combine wonderfully.
The shawarma is really good; it is not too salty.
I must advise you to come here for the MIDDLE EASTERN food; don't bother ordering a burger and fries because that is a waste of an experience. Those items are put on the menu to appeal to the masses and should not be ordered.
Their kebeh here is a little dry and I managed to scratch my throat on it. However, the falafels made up for those subpar kebeh as they were really tasty.
My parents usually order the mixed grill plate and share it between the two of them. Their meat is usually tender and grilled to perfection. I also really enjoyed their hummus with shawarma. The hummus did not have a grainy taste I have experienced at other middle eastern places.
The staff here is very friendly. Some people do not understand the concept of how this place works, and that slows it down since you must line up to order food. KNOW YOUR TABLE NUMBER IN ADVANCE!
Last but not least, my go to menu item at Paramount was the Paramount Special.
It was a delicious beverage with fresh strawberry, kiwi, almonds, ground pistachio, ashta cream and honey atop strawberry and mango juice. Regrettably, they have become quite stingy. There is too much ashta cream and they kept a light hand with the ground pistachio, which was the best part. It has also become smaller and the price increased in one dollar increments (It's now about $7.00 for the Paramount Special; it used to be about $4.00).
This place has great potential, and these erroneous details need to be fixed before I increase my rating for this place.
The spicy shish tawouk is by far the best! I also tried some of their baklawa...and then had dreams about it.
Their staff is really friendly and struck up conversations with my friend and I.
This place is busy.
They quickly clean their tables and let us seated on a busy Sunday night.
Menus were brought to us right away.
We were asked if this is our first time. The server clearly explained that we need walk over to the order desk to order and let them know our table number. You pay everything up front and our server will bring us our food.
We ordered a meat tray, along with 2 mini pizzas. We are not familiar to the middle eastern cuisine so we have nothing to compare to.
Food came really quick, as I saw so many chefs working inside the kitchen.
Everything we have ordered tasted hot fresh. I was extremely amazed when the server brought us over the pita and hummus dip. The pita looks more like a balloon than anything else. It is almost the size of a kids head.
Price is average. We forgot to leave a tip as we paid everything up front. I will return to try their sharama and be amazed with the pita balloon again.
Excellent customer service. I was at the paramount last Saturday with my family and we had a such a great time there....
Food was fresh n yummy of course n more than every thing customer service was amazing.. staff is really friendly n helpful even this place was super busy n crowded. I will refer to my friends n family to check paramount Scarborough for sure...
Good job guys keep it up:)
Kids area. I really like the new Sheppard location overall but what I love most is the kids play area.. I love how it is tucked away from the rest of the restaurant. I stopped going to the Thornhill location specifically because of the kids area. The new location is close to home, well planned and as always the food is awesome.
Great service and helpful staff. Came in for dessert but ended up ordering the manakeesh as well. Everything was very good. Very clean. Music sets the mood of the restaurant. Will definitely come back to try the dinner.
