We started heading east at lunchtime and stopped in a very small plaza that had a few restaurants, including Spring N Fresh Rolls. It is a medium sized restaurant with cozy seating for about 80. Only a couple of tables were occupied when we arrived around 12:30, and about half the restaurant was full when we left.
As we looked over the menu a server brought us a pot of complementary tea as well as a pitcher with utensils immersed in hot water. We have never seen utensils served this way before. The pitcher included chopsticks forks and spoons.
SWBMO decided to have the pad Thai with shrimp. There were at least five large, plump, shelled shrimp; tender and tasty. The noodles were a little bit thinner than most Pad Thai that we’ve had, and the sauce was a little bit spicier than most.
I picked the Thai Basil Eggplant which came with a serving of steamed rice. Big chunks of eggplant, properly cooked all the way through. Lots of tofu cubes that had just a hint of crispiness on the outside, and silky, smooth on the inside. The soy sauce was thick an rich.
Pleasant lunch.
Amazing pho joint! The nicest owner and amazing fresh rolls! The rolls and drinks are all do good and the soup is perfectly seasoned. Meet is very tender and great noodles. A must try!
Awesome pho, must eat here!! Great meets and freshly squeezed lemonade. Amazing iced coffee and the best pad Thai! The owner Ho is a friendly.
Best Pho in the city! Great iced coffee and lemonade is squeezed by hand. Pad Thai is awesome too and so are the fresh rolls, so good need to come here!
This location had been home to 3 different Thai/Vietnamese restaurants in the past 7 years. All serving up a Pad Thai worthy of a Bangkok street vendor, I have tried other dishes but the Pad Thai remains a staple in my rotation. Both for dining in and take out the portions are generous. The atmosphere is simple and clean. And if your waiting for some take out you have a flat screen t.v to watch. The staff are so welcoming and warm.
Don't go by the exterior look of Spring N' Fresh Rolls. It might not be the most welcoming restaurant around the corner, but they serve some really good food!If you are a Thai food fan, then this place is definitely a must-visit.They generally do have Special Lunch Combos but that day they didn't offer any. Hence, we ordered from the regular menu.We ordered a Spicy Beef with Steamed Rice and a Chicken Curry Pad Thai. If you want your food to be extra spicy, you can tell them and they make it exactly that way!The Spicy Beef was well done. It had a good amount of spice in it which made it taste even better. It's beef done up simply and tossed with bell peppers. This is served with a portion of steamed rice and although it's a little dry, they compliment each other well. The Chicken Curry Pad Thai was a huge portion and good for one. It came with ground peanuts and a simple salad on the side. The Pad Thai was sticky because of the curry. There was a generous amount of chicken in it and the kind of spice I like. Sprinkle a little bit of the ground peanuts if you like peanuts. It adds flavour to the food. Service was quick and the food was great!
