It was time for lunch in our new Saturday neighbourhood, and we decided on Aroma Espresso Bar.
SWMBO chose the Warm Grilled Chicken Salad, which starts out with their basic Miced Geens Salad, and tops it with cooked chicken that is freshly grilled.
I had the half sandwich and salad Combo with Grilled Portobello Sandwich and the Mixed Greens Salad. Lots of fresh ingredients and good flavours.
Good place for a fast-ish lunch.
Tried the personal avocado sandwich again at the Don Mills shops, everything was good, except that it was a bustling centre! We had to carry it outside as there was no place left to sit in.
I was obsessed with their sandwiches for the longest time. Favorites are egg salad and the one with an egg and chicken breast. Nutritional value very well balanced with flavors. Recommended.

This aroma espresso bar is located at the shop of don mills. It is in the best location. It faces the centre green space / ice rink area. It has a large outdoor seating area dedicated to the cafe and there is also shops at don mills seating. So you can grab a coffee and a treat and sit outside and baske in the glorious weather. Um weather permitting naturally. Or you can grab a warm beverage to keep you warm while you watch your children skate.
It is bright and cheery. There are large windows that go from floorish to ceilingish. Wood walls with black and white and red highlights. Tres chic.
You order at a counter. Then pick it up. It is a very busy location. A lot of times it is hard to find seating inside and sometimes outside when it's really nice weather.
I love getting the freekah salad. It's always fresh and delicious. Very filling. Feels healthy too! According to my eyes ( and the aroma espresso bar webpage) the salad also is made of 'black quinoa, sprouted brown rice with organic baby kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, pickles, red onions, parsley, za’atar spices, labneh cheese and house made lemon and olive oil dressing'. Although i also sometimes taste mint. It's seriously tasty for something that is made up of so many healthy items. This is coming from a ribs and nachos lover!
I also always get the chai latte. Hot in cold weather and iced for hot weather. It's sweet, and spicy. My favourite.
Oh, you also get a tiny chocolate to enjoy with every drink.
It is a great place to visit.
Clean, busy and vibrant for a weekend brunch. It has a nice patio and a great location to have a coffee while shopping. It gets quite busy on the weekends so you might have to arrive early.
The environment was brilliant and welcoming, friendly staff, efficient customer service even at a busy time.
Extremely well made ice aroma!
The food is healthy and delicious and it's made with such great quality ingredients. I feel like you can't go wrong with any menu items you choose here whether it's breakfast or lunch (which is probably why the chain has been so successful expanding across Toronto). Yum!
The only downside is that it's always packed! People come from all over to enjoy Aroma (even with other coffee shops in the area) and of course, full lunches and breakfasts available and made to order as well.
Service is fast and friendly, but seating is a premium so be prepared to take your coffee to go.
You can really taste the difference between these hand-crafted espresso drinks and other places.
Whether you’re new to espresso, or need a place to kick start your morning, Aroma Espresso Bar provides that and more! The Aroma Espresso Bar located at the HEART of shops at Don Mills serves food, treats and most importantly COFFEE! Upon entering the stores doors you are welcomed with the aroma of freshly ground coffee and if you’re in luck, freshly baked croissants. Yes, that’s right my fellow foodies, Aroma bakes most of their pastries every morning. They sell traditional pastries, such as croissants, danishes, cakes and muffins as well as non-traditional pastries. If you’ve never heard of cheese burekas, I suggest you head to the nearest aroma and try one out. This flaky pastry is filled with feta cheese with a toasted crispy layer of goodness. If that isn’t enough they have a “Bureka Treat” which is a cheese bureka stuffed with pickles, boiled egg and tomatoes! Sweet tooth? Then the alfajor (pronounced alf-HORE) should satisfy those cravings. Dulce leche sandwiched by two short bread cookies topped off with icing! This pastry WILL melt in your mouth. Besides the wonderful selections of sweet and puffy pastries, they specialize in salads, sandwiches and breakfast!
The space is roomy and clean. There is always a place to sit and the staff are pleasant. I wish their croissants, breakfast pastries were better. The lunch foods are terrific. I am mad about their red lentil soup and tuna salad sandwich.
