Best buds ever!!! :D Walked in after a long flight from Kimberley BC, got greeted by awesome staff that over the next few days got to know personally. If you're looking for a pub in north toronto, this is it. Growing up here, I wish it was here then.

Went there just after opening. I was very Impressed with the Menu as well as the Service and Have been going weekly ever since. Being less than a block from home is an added bonus, feels like a home away from home every time I go. Know all the servers by name ha ha. Have A Great Day All , Highly Recommend the Uptown Pub House Bravo!

We were looking for a place to have dinner in the Bedford Park neighbourhood, and SWMBO spotted The Uptown Pub House as we drove by. The place has a comfy local bar vibe. A circular bar near the entrance with a few regular patrons, high top tables near the bar, and booths at the back, where we chose to sit.

SWMBO picked the Chicken Pot Pie, which was served piping hot. Perhaps the pastry on top was a bit overdone. Underneath was a tasty, savoury mix of chicken, peas, carrots and gravy.

I chose “The Pub House” Burger. The 8 oz patty had a really nice char. Add in some smoked bacon, applewood cheddar, lettuce, tomato and a maple bourbon ancho BBQ sauce, and each bite had texture, crunch, sweet, sour. A very nice burger.

Service was polite and friendly.

Sometimes pubs are dark environments where their carpet stinks of stale beer. At other times, their dining room is like The Uptown Pub House: brightly lit and the carpetless. Their menu still has the typical pub fare – burgers, wings, Shepard’s pie and the like.

The batter on the haddock used in the fish and chips ($14.95) was thin and light, albeit a tad soggy in the centre. Thankfully, the tartar sauce isn’t the packaged Heinz variety, instead thick and zippy but would be even better with more pickles. Even though the chips weren’t the thick cut version of Scotland, they were hot and crispy … I couldn’t help eating one more.

You really can’t go wrong with anything deep fried. The crispy shrimp ($11.95) arrived blistering hot in a crunchy shell and a tangy horseradish laced homemade cocktail sauce. Similarly, the sweet potato fries ($5.50) must be some of the best in the city – keeping their length with a

Have come here twice with kids, and the food was good. The burger on the kids menu is just amazing. The only thing is that each time we've come the food seemed to take a long time to come. Will try it again in hopes that it becomes quicker.

The friendliest service I have received in a long, long time. The waitress was very quick to answer any questions, and she wanted to make sure everyone who came into the restaurant felt welcome and "a regular". This particular restaurant looked like it was targeting the Abbot Pub's crowd, as several of the menu items were identical to what was offered there. In my humble opinion, the Uptown Pub will give them a run for their money.

Food was fresh and well-prepared. The steak and beets salad was very well done; steak was cooked to order, beets were tender and juicy, and the balance between ingredients were thought-out. Chicken quesadillas were filled to the brim with listed ingredients, but spicier than listed (as in, not listed as spicy at all).

The one big drawback to this place is that the beer is VERY over-priced. To expect their customers to pay $7.45 for 16 oz. + tax at Yonge and Lawrence is very presumptuous.

Looking forward to trying their food again soon, but having a drink anywhere else.
