Food, drinks and service is absolutely amazing with cool atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!
Great vibe, wonderful staff and friendly owners. And to top it off the coffee and food is great. :)
My favourite place in Toronto. Great vibes & amazing service. Totally recommend.
Great spot! 10/10 would definitely come back again for a coffee or a pint
Everything here is amazing. Good food & drinks. Good People. Plants. Natural Light... and they're a part of #BYOC!
I went to Manic on a recommendation and spent an hour with weak coffee and bad auto-tuned pop radio. Then, I remembered a place my friend Paul Vermeersch introduced me to a few years back, but I couldn't remember the name. After some web sleuthing I realized it was Saving Gigi. When I walked in the door Dylan's Bringing It All Back Home was playing on the turntable. That's why I come here.
Saving Gigi turned an the intersection of Ossington and Bloor into a neighbourhood. Thanks Kristjan and Amelia!
Basically they're just awesome!
Get the Southwest Eggs when you come here!
Gigi is an easy going cozy local café southside of Bloor just east of Ossington with bright windows, a variety of ample table seating with the control centre located at the back with excellent sweet & savoury goodies and excellent coffees and teas. My favourite snack is the pictured matcha latte with a blueberry scone which fills that 5PM hollow spot perfectly until dinner.
Wandered over here one Saturday morning for brunch. The place was playing some great tunes, and I sat outside on the patio and ordered the huevos poutine. This is one of the most memorable and creative brunches I'd had, and the eggs were delicious - crispy on the edges, just the way I like it. Deliciously seasoned potatoes and refreshing morning cocktails. My brunch partner adored the blueberry sausages. Will be coming back again soon.
By the third week this November, I have been in Toronto for the last 15 years. It doesn’t feel that all that time has passed by. Of all the lessons that I have learned living here is to appreciate every warm day that comes after Labor day. Lately, the temperature has hovered in the teens and that is pretty unusual for fall. Make no mistake, I am not complaining. Fall is even prettier when the weather is nice and mild. To be able to enjoy the colors of autumn without chilling you to the bone is a gift.
Brunchin' on Bloor West on a beautiful day after a barre class is the best.
(woo, an alliteration!)
I was invited for brunch at Saving Gigi over the long weekend, and with the beautiful weather, I couldn't pass it up (and because I would never say no to food). Saving Gigi is located just outside Ossington Station on Bloor West. I have personally always been meaning to come out to this area, but alas, this was the first time visiting the area.
We walked into this cute cafe with wooden tables and chairs. People were set up with their laptops working away on this lovely Sunday morning. Saving Gigi has a really 'homey' feel to it, and I loved it. Too bad it was realllyyyy stuffy and humid inside, so we opted to sit outside on the patio to get some Vitamin D and a light breeze.
They have a coffee menu, as well as an alcoholic menu.
Their food menus are up by the cash. You order what you want, and they will bring it out to you.
I really liked the honey dijon and the rosemary mayo. It incorporated a sweetness to the sauce that I’ve never tasted in a sandwich before. The slight crisp and salty bacon gave the sandwich some texture and taste. It was a really good sandwich!
Decent espresso.. Passable espresso is far more important than well-mannered staff.. Saving Gigi gets a pass from me - very drinkable espresso.

This is my go to place for coffee. Unfortunately the new guy working the espresso machine can't make a cappuccino to save his life. Hopefully this will change or I may have to go farther to get my mornings life blood. I'm a picky man and I don't like my coffee messed with. Then again I don't know anyone who drinks it does.
