I Deal Coffee on Ossington south of Dundas is a lovely trendy combination of a coffee shop and a wine bar with a long spacious interior and a nice outdoor patio. A full range of sweet and savoury edibles, and terrific coffees and teas are on offer. There is a wall full of wine bottles that requires further examination later this summer.

I deal coffee has been by far our favourite spot for coffee in Toronto for the past 8 years. All three locations are fantastic, but we tend to frequent the Ossington and Sorauren locations. The coffee beans are produced by the owners, and are perfectly roasted (also by the owners on a weekly basis). I buy our beans for home brewing from here as well. Simply put, their coffee is strong, fresh, and incredible-tasting, not saccharine or full of syrups, chocolate, preservatives, etc. It is exactly what one should be looking for in coffee. Moreover, we love the purposefully minimalist and "faded" decor. It's a friendly, professional, upretentious and chill space that focuses on the quality of the food and drinks they produce. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
As a frequent visitors at cafes in the city, this in one of my favour spots to work from in the morning. Its large oval marble tables are generous for one, easy to share and are at the right height when either sitting bench side or in one of the wooden chairs. With large south and west facing windows, there's a feeling of being outside while in, and being a few steps above ground means you're not easily distracted by the street level goings on. The coffee here always packs a caffeine punch, and with their gluten free and now sandwich and juice selections it's easy to work here and eat something other than a muffin. Staff are friendly, music is great and at just the right volume and most everyone who sits beside you is trustworthy to leave your valuables when you have to sneak away for a bathroom break.
Unassuming and relaxed with great coffee and knowledgable Barista's. Superb vibe and good people to hang with. Sit in peace or converse with some of the neighbourhood eccentrics.
Walking around check this neigborhood and badly wanted a glass of milk coffee! I foud this coffee shop and I love the ambience (old look) :listening to the 50s music that fit the atmosphere.
Great little coffee spot. I can barely walk by this place without getting pulled in by the smell of their fresh roasted coffee. Its a chill atmosphere inside, and you can usually find a spot to get some work done or have a coffee with a friend. Awesome americanos and the staff is always pleasant. If youère here in the summer and want it iced, they make the cubes from their coffee! They had a great patio until some maniac drove onto it.
We found this hidden gem at Ossington. They roast their own coffee and sell coffee beans and wines.
Their coffee is delicious and their warm and aesthetic space is so cozy and welcoming! Perfect to start the day right.
We also tried their buttery flaky and yummy almond croissant and chocolate croissant. My kids and I love it!
The barista is kind and cheerful.
We’ll definitely be back when we pass by Ossington.
the perfect stop in your Ossington stroll, especially if you’re not looking for a bar or loud music. Came in at 10:30 and the staff was kind enough to make me an espresso martini (or a derivative of that - i’m not sure what it was called but i asked for an espresso cocktail) even though i think their bar was closing up - it was beautifully presented and yummy.
We relaxed in the beautiful patio under the lights long after they closed. Was a wonderful time.
Nice little cafe | wine shop down the Ossington Avenue.
It serves both baked goods and also some lunch | dinner items. I liked the Vietnamese Cold Coffee and also the baked pastry which was a mix of Jalapeno and cheese.
They have outdoor seating which is nice during the summer and the staff is very friendly. They are right off the street so there might be some road noise though.
We enjoyed our time there!
One of our favs on ossington!
It’s such a cute little spot for coffee and pastries. The patio is really nice and a little secluded from the busy traffic on ossington. I think they roast their own beans so the coffee is really smooth and tasty.
The only place at 9:30pm on a Friday night on Ossington that we could find a table without a wait, and we couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised! The patio was beautiful and set the mood. The spanakopita was phenomenal; flakey and flavourful — highly recommend! The bottle we chose was delicious. Additionally, the servers, (while clearly very busy) were charming and provided excellent service. Happy we stumbled into this place.
Great selection of craft beer and cider, tried the 2 varito3 sof Spanikopita they had, sweet potato and spinach, both were great. Lovely wee patio fpr outdoor seating
Cute, quiet coffee shop. Got a flat white with honey, it was good, lots of products and things to look at, I was surprised to see some of my favorite greek products there.
Great spot. They have some really yummy vegan muffins too.
just know the wifi here is never really reliable. So if you’re looking for a place to hunker down and work on something, this might not be it.
I came here for some drinks in the evening. They become a wine bar after 7pm but still offer drip coffee and tea. A small, cute and cozy place inside. The waiter wearing a wu-tang clan t-shirt was really nice and helpful when deciding on which red wine to select. :)
I love coming here on my Monday mornings to have a coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The Sandwiches are so delicious and staff always provide great service and always smiling. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the ossington area
As a cafe hopper with no real favourites im not often mesmerized by a cafe easily but there’s something about the small narrow cozy atmosphere with inclusive beverage and snack options and bright sunlight in the space that makes this cafe different. The staff are incredibly friendly and the maple syrup latte is delicious. I sat by a window and worked for a few hours so they’re laptop friendly too. Just be sure to come on the earlier side or off-peak hour to make sure you get a spot.
We love Ideal! This one served wine by the glass and it was just what we needed. Good wine selection and a chill vibe. They have a nice patio in the summer and of course great coffee.
Decent place - expensive though a beer and wine costed $23 plus tip but great ambience .
No service provided I.e they don’t even come to ask how is everything or refill your water (you take it yourself to your table) - like Starbucks I understand but then please don’t prompt tips for your service in this scenario
Great-great athmosphere and very exciting tasting coffees & lattes at this barista house! This shop is what Ossington S. of Dundas is all about: small, vintage place offering carefully crafted food and driñks. From what I gather they've been there for 12yrs and got 20yrs in this business. And it shows. The croissants, the barista, the coffee beans plus the beautiful esspresso machine are all fantastic making this shop easily your future favorite coffee spot.
We’ve been really into getting coffee in the mornings well I’ve always been into this
Good tunes, warm, cozy and the server let is play a small boardgame at our table :). Yummy non-alcoholic beer choices from Montreal.
