Amnesia is one of the best bars on the Annex/Harbord Village circuit with a full selection of alcohol and beer including the Millennium Buzz Hemp Beer on tap, food after 5PM, late hours, cosy atmosphere with understanding and compassionate staff that can help one with a special concoction that Yoga, Pilates and Bubble tea can't - in short, a real BAR!
Solid dive bar. Every neighbourhood has a bar like Amnesia:
Cheap draft? Check.
Random dodgy person rambling to self/customers about government conspiracies? Check.
Friendly if mildly confused waitstaff? (Bartender offered me a house red when I asked for a white wine.) Check.
Tasty food? Check.
It is what it is. If youre just looking for a pint and a simple burger and fries, it's a good place to pop in before you go elsewhere.

I love It. After my first visit during the afternoon, I thought I would give the nights a try and was pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere. The Natchos were really different, but superb. Another visit I tried the steak and was totaly blown away, so much so that Amnesia is my new steak house. The crowd is a very unique mix of races, cultural backgrounds and monetary status, but at Amnesia, in Johnny and Mary's eyes, they are house guests not customers.
Hey, drop by sometime have a drink, Eat something and join the regulars at the house party. Hey you might even find me there eating a Greek Salad or chatting up one of the female customers.
