Targeting mainly on employees of financial district they’re closing around 4-5. The busiest hours are 12-2 pm so the best time to get your order without long wait is before or after above mentioned time frame.
Great selection of high quality meals.
Dre: in the bottom floor of Hudson's Bay, there is a market-like food court called Foodwares. There are many choices ranging from sandwiches, sushi, pasta, soups, and hot grill food. I walked around and decided to try the chicken Parmesan sandwich. I took a terrible picture of it, as you can't see anything except the bun. The sandwich was a bit on the small side, but the sauce was good. I wish they gave more sauce in the sandwich.
This place is always busy during lunch. Lots of choices. I had the chicken parmesan, which is cooked fresh in front of you, which was okay but not great. Then again, I can't expect much from a place that does everything, I guess.
Great Place!. I never knew this place even existed! Who would have thought such amazing food would come out of the Bay? I was walking through the Bay on my way to the subway and felt hungry. I saw this small eatery area and decided to stop in. There were a few stations to choose from, so I settled on the one in the corner near the entrance. There were tons of different meals to choose from. I had a craving for souvlaki so I decided to try the chicken souvlaki on a bed of zafron rice with a side of Greek salad. The souvlaki was huge! It was nicely placed on the rice, while the salad was in a small bowl on it's own. The chicken was tender and juicy, while the rice was cooked just to perfection. The salad was good, but I found the huge chunks of feta cheese were a bit too much for my liking. This meal only cost about $11.30, which was great considering how good it was and how huge the portion sizes were. The staff was also very accomodating; they always had a smile on their faces and showed that they cared about the customers. I urge you all to give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!
This is a great spot for grabbing lunch. I love the kalelicious salad. The combination of kale, parmesean, lentils, dried cranberries, black quinoa & warm chicken is perfect. The soup are also really good here. The butternut squash and wicked Thai chicken is great. Not the cheapest place for a bite to eat but it's good quality food.
Foodwares Cafe - If you're in the financial district or inside the Eaton Center and if you are looking for something different than your conventional food court, Foodware is the place to be! This place is located in the bottom floor of the Hudson's Bay Company near the market place! I really enjoy the choices here! I really like the roast beef sandwich served with potato salad and greens! A little pricey for a lunch item but for the quality and taste, it's definitely worth it! Grab a coffee and you can enjoy this at FW's very inviting dining area! I rate this place 4 out of 5!
If you're looking for a quick lunch this is a good place to go. Located in the basement of The Bay, if you don't know it's there it's hard to find. They offer a selection of sandwiches, salads, sushi, and the like. You can either eat at the cafeteria style tables or take it to go. It's mostly self-serve, so you can get in and out without having to wait for someone to bring you your food. Right next to the market is a sweets shop if you're in the mood for a little dessert :)
