Been coming here for a few years now. It's my dim sum place! Food is always hot and delicious and I avoid the crowds in Chinatown on a weekend. I normally stick with my favourites: dumplings (steamed and pan fried), vermicelli beef rolls, chinese broccoli, and BBQ pork buns. I always leave with a happy belly. Decor needs an update but I heard they are renovating...
All day dimsum but still fresh and tasty at any time of day. There's a reason why this Chinese restaurant is still here even with the growing number of diverse food in the downtown area. It's always a treat for me to come here at any chance that I get whenever I go downtown Toronto and they do not disappoint. Even with the normal or typical Chinese food they offer that they make with every order is still the large selection of dimsum. We always get their version of fried spring roll that's a mix of meat an veggies, beef tripe, pork bbq bun, calamares, and spare ribs in black bean sauce. An entrée can be a Cantonese chow mein or any special version of fried rice. This is a good amount for a group of four people and does not go over $60 for the cost. Pretty satisfying for a restaurant that's just nestled in around downtown. No parking, though.
Dim sum heaven Awesome plac.... Dim sum heaven
Awesome place for a dim-sum treat, my favorites were the pork dumplings, beef tripe and Chinese broccoli. Thumbs up!
Very good Dim Sum at reasonable price. This place is opened Tuesday to Sunday and has great Dim Sum. They use carts during the week at lunch, so the food may bit a bit luke warm if it has been around a few times, but for the price, everything is delicious. On the weekends, it is from a menu, so the food is usually served fairly hot. Prices for Dim Sum dishes range from $2.20 to $3.75, so a meal for a group is relatively cheap. There are also lunch specials in the $5.00 area. I eat here regularily and I would recommend this to anyone, and most people that I have introduced to this restaurant have returned.
Great chinese food & Dim Sum. I have been going to this restaurant for years. Favorite place to go for Dim Sum.
We cannot walk past this place with my daughter's unless we stop in for Deep fried breaded squid.
Great food - terrible decor. If you can get past the awful 80s decor, you'll enjoy the food. It's always tasty!
