ALL have to said is cheap price with great food. the service is quick and food are tasty. the size of restaurant is not big but in a good size. will love if the light can be more lighter.will come back for take out next times.
We went today for lunch and we liked. I had a big bento with salmon and chicken just for 10$. The final bill was a 29 $ including tips, bento, sushi, small salads and few miso soup. The people are very polite and today is Monday and was a quick service. The place is clean and with nice atmosphere. I would like to back again,
PD: I've seen some negative comments of few years ago about this place, with my experience I can say that the water was delicius in sushitime and everything was in order. We are araund 1pm and we were full till 7 pm .
The rice yes, I could say that was slightly dry, I think the sushi we got were done not today (but I can be wrong).
Cheers.
Sushi time gets my standard 3.5 rating meaning it's good, I will probably eat here again, but there isn't anything amazing about it. The sushi is standard and great for delivery. The green dragon was very good and the crunchy rolls had lots of crunch which I like. Very reasonable price.
Fantastic sushi restaurant, food is excellent particularly the sashimi, bento boxes and sushi time pizza. Prices are also extremely good value. BUT as other have said the service here can be a disaster, they seem to have new servers in every other week it's crazy...some are great, some are terrible. If they can fix their staff issues then I could not fault this place.
Good value. Out of all the sushi places i've been to, this is the one i've actually felt like i got my money's worth. their bento boxes are filling and generous. the variety is good too, with tempura, gyozo, sushi rolls, salad, and teriyaki.
one of my favourite sushi spots, highly recommend.
Great Value, Service IFFY!. It's not that the servers were rude, they are just unenthusiastic. Maybe myself along with the rest of the reviewers here are just used to western style service, the restaurant is in Toronto after all. But as far as value, this is the best sushi restaurant I have been to in Toronto. The bento boxes are very filling and the sushi is very good. You get a lot for your money! I would definately recommend this restaurant! 10/10!!!
Great place - try the black cod and the eel fried rice - also the best sushi pizza available.
Exceptional value. The worst kept secret in town.
Great fresh generous portions at the most reasonable prices.
Sushi Time has been around for over 14 years and has a strong following of sushi lovers.
As for the service, its decent but sometimes it takes awhile to get tea/water and menus. However, I still recommend this place and they offer delivery service after 5pm. Good for dates and outings with friends at a lunch or dinner setting.
I love these little sushi spots that do lunch specials. Soup, salad and a couple of rolls always seem to hit the spot. I typically go with salmon, though that happens just about everywhere :-) Sweet potato maki is also interesting. I've yet to try their teriyaki dishes, perhaps next time. Clean and friendly atmosphere, not for date night but for lunch it does the trick!
Sushi Time is a small to mid-size restaurant serving Japanese food at very reasonable prices. Its contemporary design and dim lights also provide a very relaxing environment. It is located downtown on Queen St W, and is one of many sushi establishments in the area. My bf and I often get takeout from Sushi Time whenever we feel like eating sushi in. They have often been quick and efficient in taking orders, and delivering the orders in a timely fashion. It's also free delivery with an $20 order if you're in the delivery zone vicinity, and you can get 10% off if you pay in cash. We have our usual order whenever we do get delivery, and it's often the following item (same as when we go there to eat). I find that Sushi Time is moderately priced and they offer the standard Japanese food on their menu. Additionally, their menu is quite extensive. I usually get their chicken teriyaki dinner or beef ribs teriyaki ($9.75/dinner). This time, I got the later, and they have changed the presentation of the plating slightly. Everything is now on one giant white plate, and they have swapped out lettuce for the salad. For the price, I thought that there was a generous portion of beef ribs teriyaki which were tender, and rarely with any fat on them. Each dinner comes with white rice, side salad and also a bowl of miso soup. The chicken teriyaki ($8.75) dinner also comes with comes with miso soup, salad, and steamed rice. I absolutely love their tropical roll ($7.95) and thought that it was beautifully presented. The usage of mango and avocado in rolls may be common, but this roll does it for me. It's a light and sweet roll that went perfectly with my meal. The crispy texture of the tempura bits in the roll provided a nice crunch to it. The salmon maki ($4.50) was slightly bland, but with a little soy sauce, it helped to enhance the flavor a bit. The Sushi Time Pizza (6 pcs) [crispy sushi rice base-top with salmon, green onion, white onion, tobiko with sesame seed and special sauce] ($7.25) is one of my favorites. The sushi is cut into six pieces, and its crispy rice patty is topped with slices of salmon.
This is one of my lunch spots. They have an excellent menu, very filling and tasty. It is really inexpensive, a perfect option for a weekday.
