FOOD:
I had settled on the Quarter Chicken Dinner With French Fries (and a complimentary bun), along with a water to drink. We also ordered Perogies as an appetizer. The Perogies were delicious; not too soft or not too crunchy, just perfect. I wish there was more dipping sauce for the Perogies as the amount given was much too small for the six to seven
Perogies that were included. The Quarter Chicken was nicely cooked, tasting delicious when dipped in the Chalet Sauce (if I could drink this sauce, I would). The French Fries were not too hot (temperature-wise) however, they did justice. Also, I noticed that there weren't as many French Fries as I've received in the past but, I was happy with what I had. The bun was delicious, especially when dipped in Chalet Sauce (give it a try if you haven't, it's well-worth it!). Each visit to a Swiss Chalet location usually puts a smile on my face as the food always maintains that delicious consistency that I know and love.
ATMOSPHERE:
The restaurant itself wasn't too busy for a Tuesday evening at around 7:00 pm therefore, we were seated at a table near the back of the restaurant (we were five people). I found that this location was quite clean, along with low music playing in the background to add a nice ambience to our meal. Also, there was nice décor on the walls and on the counter tops throughout the restaurant.
SERVICE:
Our server (Jenny) was very kind, answering all of our questions with ease and confidence. She also cracked a few jokes which made us glad that we had received her as our server. When we weren't sure which dishes to order, Jenny gave us as much time as we needed, which made us feel comfortable. I did however find the hostess to be a bit rude, not smiling or welcoming us to the restaurant as nicely as I would have hoped.
COST:
Perogies ($6.99) + Three 1 1/2 Back Ribs & Fries Dinner ($20.99 Each) + 1 1/3 Side Chicken & Ribs Dinner ($18.59) + Quarter Chicken Dinner ($9.59) = $110.90
WOULD YOU RETURN?
Most certainly I would! I love the food and service at Swiss Chalet, it always seems to satisfy my palate! Thanks Jenny for making this a great dinner!
Good family place with good chicken. Much more affordable than other local bar and grill places.
Back in August, Swiss Chalet had a new special and introduced some sandwiches. There were 4 types to choose from. Unfortunately, these sandwiches didn't last very long that I never got to try anymore and take more pictures. So I only have this
