Don't be fooled by this very modest looking joint. It looks like it's closed and the interior isn't impressive but boy does this place pack a punch.
No doubt it's popular with people in and out with take out and sometimes a dish might just run out.
We had the beef patty, jerk chicken and curried goat. All were good and full of flavour. The portions are good and this place is definitely value for money
Came here for jerk chicken. The portion was enough for me to save some for later. The chicken itself was a tad spicy but I didn't mind it. The coleslaw was good. The rice was good too. The service was friendly and they had some entertaining walls. Overall experience was alright
Pat's is mainly a take out joint. Few bar stools to eat in, though you can choose to stare at the pics on the wall while you eat, or face Queen St and people watch.
Jerk chicken, oxtail and chicken stew is enough to fulfill your wants, cravings for food from J.A.
I'll continue to go back.
I had a craving for Jerk Chicken and this place satisfied my need. The chicken is perfectly spiced and had just the right amount of heat. Ask for the oxtail gravy on your rice and it'll give it that extra depth in flavour. The portions are super healthy so come with an appetite. The coldslaw was on the dry side, and could have been a lot creamier but I that's ok because I had too much food to work with.
The service is efficient and there's not much room to dine in.
Pat's Homestyle serves the best jerk chicken and Jamaican goat curry in the city. The jerk chicken is so flavorful and delicious - juicy and just falls off the bone. The curry goat is rich and flavorful as well. Portions are very large. The coleslaw is creamy and delicious as well. And their rice and peas is great as well. We eat here every couple of weeks. Amazing food.
I got the stewed chicken. Need to come here again and try all the items on their menu! The stewed chicken had a lot of deep spiced flavour with a hint of sweet coconut milk. They poured the sauce over red beans and rice. At first I thought it was going to be easy to kill this, but I couldn’t finish it in the end. That chicken was crazy good. It came with a side of coleslaw and that was delicious too!
I ordered a chicken roti....It was good and I ate it all.
When the windows are fogged up, you know something good is cooking inside. Walking in, the smell of spices and hearty, home-cooked Jamaican food surrounds you like a
The food here is fantastic! I have had almost everything on the menu here, and it is all delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone and I do! I have jerked chicken and oxtail in this photo
Huge portions, cheap prices and very good jerk chicken. Honestly, you couldn't ask for more. The place is not fancy, in fact looks a little shabby. The guy at the counter seemed very disinterested as well. But I was just grabbing a quick bite so I didn't care. Nor was I expecting too much in terms of service. But the food is very good for sure. They are open till very late at night as well, and since its is located on Queen Street it's a perfect spot post your drinking session.

This didn't stop me from getting my food though! I will be back to try the other items on the menu.
