I'm terrible at answering the "for here or to go?" question, because I never know how much time I'll have. The staff at this deli noticed my momentary panic, laughed, and then went ahead and prepped it half-and-half! Props to these workers who perfectly anticipate customers' needs. And of course, their delicious sandwiches are top-notch, too. :) I've been coming back for two years now, and I don't intend to stop anytime soon.

I ventured into St. Jamestown Delicatessen today for lunch thanks to a recommendation from my friend, Kristyn F. I ordered one of the hot daily specials which was a pulled pork sandwich w/ garden salad and a drink ($10). As I looked around, I noticed this to be a popular selection. I was served quickly and with a smile. The sandwich was sooooo good. There was a wonderful smokiness to the meat that came dripping in meat juice and bbq sauce. I ate my meal carefully so I wouldn't spill any of the good stuff on my clothes. The salad tasted good and was a smart side to the glutinous main attraction. I am grateful to my friend for the recommendation. Hope you find the same success in your dining experience at SJD!

I was lured into this establishment by the smell, and not only did it not disappoint but I MUST return to try some of the other options that I saw on other people's plates! :D

Food: I had the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich on a kaiser bun with mustard, alfalfa sprouts, and swiss cheese, warmed up. It. Was. AWESOME! Melty meaty cheesey SO GOOD! And it was large too so I even ate half of it later for dinner :) My co-diner had the chicken Caesar wrap and it was inhaled and got great compliments ^.^

Service: Nice enough. You do tend to get ignored if you don't speak up, but otherwise it was all smiles and quick service.

Price: Very reasonable. For $20 we got a wrap, a sandwich, and two large chocolate milks. You order by taking a slip of paper by the cash and checking off the items you want. Most are free add-ons, but I did find out after paying the cheese is an extra cost. It doesn't matter though because the food was delicious and still reasonably priced regardless, but watch for that.

Summary: Great food! !!! SOOOOOOOO GREAT!!!! I definitely recommend it and I am returning to try more dishes :D
