Tostada Grill a hidden secret in North York. Wow it was one of the best experiences in a long time in a very friendly place in the heart of North York. Stumbled upon this Venezuelan restaurant while driving down Dufferin Street just south of Lawrence Avenue. From the outside it might look deceiving as its in a strip plaza but once you go in the smell captivates you with the aroma of plantain and spices.

We ordered two different plates of fish that in the menu looked to be fairly decent but to our surprise they were humongous and surrounded by various sides that made you salivate form just smelling them. The red snapper was whole and perfectly cooked. The patacones were crispy and yet very chewy, the fried cassava was beyond real and very tasty, a side salad well seasoned and fairly good portion of rice.

The other dish was a large piece of Bass fillet perfectly cooked and seasoned with the same sides. My wife ordered a cheese empanada that was too big to eat as an appetizer.

The pricing was more than affordable and we shared both meals with the kids as well because they were big enough.

Truly a great experience and will be back for sure to try the rest of the menu.
